Bank:                                     ...   Contact Date With Customer:  March 6, 2017   Complaint Summary:  [redacted] submitted a Revdex.com complaint regarding her auto-payment being cancelled without her consent.  She also stated she experienced rude customer service from the Collection representative that she spoke with, who also refused to close her account, as she requested, until the account balance was paid in full.   Resolution:  I spoke with [redacted] on March 6, 2017, and apologized for any rude customer service she experienced during her conversation with the representative involved.  I expressed to her that we should never deny closing a customer’s account and sincerely apologized if this occurred.  I closed the account, per her request, and accepted a $188.24 telephone payment.  I explained to [redacted] that the representative previously credited the $37.00 late fee and, as a courtesy, I removed the additional $27.00 late fee and $8.67 in interest charges.  With this credit and her payment, this brings the account to a zero ($0.00) balance.  [redacted] with happy with this outcome and had no further questions at this time.     Sincerely,     Monique M. Dear
[redacted]...

[redacted]:
I am
in receipt of your complaint forwarded to Macy’s Executive Office by the RevDex.com.  As a representative of
this office, I was asked to review and respond to your concerns on behalf of
Department Stores National Bank.
In researching your complaint, after
the card was reported stolen on December 26, 2016, I found that on January 5,
2016, we received notice of the $133.21 in disputed charges on your Macy’s account
and a Statement of Fraud was sent to you.
I sincerely apologize for any delay or inconvenience you may have
experienced regarding this issue.  Our
Fraud Department was able to verify the fraudulent purchases and cleared your
account of the fraudulent charges bringing your account to a zero balance.  While I certainly understand your frustration
surrounding these events, it is not Macy’s policy to compensate for
inconvenience of time.
[redacted],
thank you for bringing this matter to our attention and giving me the opportunity
to respond.  If I may be of additional
assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
Stephanie P.

Dear [redacted]:
I am in receipt of your complaint forwarded to Macy’s
Executive Office by the Revdex.com.
As a representative of this office, I was asked to review and respond to
your concerns on behalf of Department Stores National Bank. I apologize for any inconvenience you may have
experienced.
In researching your complaint, I
found that on October 19, 2015, we received notice of the fraudulent charges on
your Macy's [redacted] account.  We
opened a fraud claims case on November 11, 2015, and reported the account as
stolen.  Our Fraud Department was able to
verify the fraudulent purchases and cleared your Macy’s [redacted] account
of the fraudulent charges totaling $77.93, and removed the associated late fees
($64.00) and interest charges ($2.52) bringing it to a zero balance.  In addition, we cleared our internal records
of any delinquency associated with this issue and requested that [redacted],
[redacted], and [redacted] delete the delinquencies from November 2015, through
January 2016.  Please allow the agencies
approximately seven (7) to ten (10) business days to make the necessary
corrections to their files.  Until then,
this letter will also serve as confirmation.
[redacted], thank you for bringing this matter to our
attention and giving me the opportunity to respond.  If I may be of additional assistance, please

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.    [redacted]December 21, 2017Jeffrey G., Hal L., Elia G. & Karen H. Macy's Executive Officers7 West Seventh StreetCincinnati, OH 45202Department Stores National Bank P.O. BOX 8.066Mason, OH 45040PERSONA. & CONFIDENTIALRe: 1. ACCount # [redacted]2. [redacted] Complaint: [redacted] 3. Revdex.com Cincinnati Complaint: [redacted] Note: The word "your" or "you" means Macy's and/orDSNB (Department Stores National Bank)Dear Madams and Sirs:Regarding the above referenced complaints and all of my previous phone calls and previous letters of disputes of the incorrect and inaccurate balances and incorrect APR % charges and inaccurate special promotion Subaccounts (special events) balances and finance charges, be advised of the following:By this letter I am preserving my rights under the laws of the United States and the State of [redacted], and all States in which Macy's & DSNB operate; and I state unequivocally that I am disputing Macy's Inc.'s and Department Stores National Bank's failure to take responsibility for their falsification and their erroneous addition of "$456.39" to the original amount of my September 30. 2015 "24 month interest free" purchase of $1797.60, when it was in fact Macy's and DSNB's error, which they have repeatedly and continually refused to investigate and refused to correct, contrary to both their written policy, and Contrary to the Federal consumer credit protection laws and regulations, during the past 12 months of my 16 letters of request. When Macy's and DSNB make the mistake, it is not a "courtesy" to me. Macy's and DSNB have refused to admit their numerous mistakes on my account, and have refulsed to make the proper corrections, and have refused to even respond to my written disputes in a timely manner, and have still not done the necessary and accurate investigation to date.10. I am disputing the entire amount (as of the December 26, 2017 due date) on my account of $2446.20, which is erroneous and false. And I am disputing each of the sub-account amounts that on this same December 26, 2017 bill statement because each amount is erroneous and non-factually based.I am disputing the entire $1533.48 amount of the 24 month special event sub-account on this statement. Macy's and DSNB have failed to remove the erroneous additional charge of $456.39" which Macy's staff stated was an "accounting" input mistake made in September or October 2016. This total is false and based on non-factual, non-contractual and Macy's/DSNB's "erroneous" human manipulations.I am disputing the interest charge of $911.88 because Macy's/DSNB company failed to make the monthly allocation of my on time payments that specifically directed your company(ies) to make to this 24 month special account, and as was agreed to by Macy's when I originally made the subject purchase.I am disputing the interest charge of $911.88 also because Macy's/DSNB failed to comply with the original contractual agreement of the APR rate being 24.50% for the entire 24 month period as stated on the receipt, which is a written contractual agreement, and there is no other agreement that authorized.I am disputing your statements as being untruthful when you informed the agencies that you offered to correct the $456.39 error as a "courtesy." Contrary to your unwilling admission of the your erroneous addition of $456.39 to the original $1797.6024 month special event amount in response to my complaints to the Revdex.com of Cincinnati and the [redacted] and your offer to correct it, no such correction has been made on the billing statement due December 26, 2017. In fact this billing statement adds this amount into the total due for interest payments at the noncompliant APR of 25.50%.Further, it is absurd and non-factual for Nancy Mobley to state that Macy's "responded" to my letters, when in fact Macy's/DSNB never investigated their erroneous charges or increases to my balances and APR % that were never agreed to, noncompliant, nor authorized by me. Therefore, I reject Ms. Mobley's response on Macy's behalf to the [redacted], the Revdex.com of Cincinnati and to me as untruthful and noncompliant with the Fair Credit Billing Act and the other federal and state consumer protection regulations,I am disputing this entire bill statement amount because you failed to offer and failed to correct my 24 month special event account's balance by allocating the past 24 months of timely payments so that the last and final payment I would have had, would have been less than $75.00 and it would be paid off and this sub-account closed by October 31, 2017, as originally stated in my agreement with Macy's, [redacted], [redacted], [redacted] Jewelry Department manager and Store.I am disputing and continue to dispute your incomplete investigation of my account's documents and phone calls, including Macy's/DSNB's refusal to allocate ALL OF the 24 monthly payments that I made. Based on the statements Ms. Mobley made, she was not even aware of the original receipt that I have repeatedly mailed and included in my complaints, but did not look into these very important facts.I am disputing your extension the 24 month special event another 24 months with a $1533.48 balance and that you are charging me at the escalated APR % of 25.50 and more as the prime increases. Again, based on the statements Ms. Mobley made she did not look into this and was not even aware of the documentation provided stating the facts, which Macy's/DSNB refuse to comply with. 11. I am disputing your incomplete and fake investigative findings sent to the [redacted] and Revdex.com because you refuses to admit that you, your company and your personnel provided me with incorrect and inaccurate total balances and sub-account (special event) balances and total amounts purchased since October 2015 bill statement through October 2016, and through the current bill statement.12. I am disputing the entirety of your November 2017 and December 2017 bill statements because they are untruthful and non-compliant with the federal regulations protecting consumers, the Fair Credit Billing Act, and all of my legal rights.13. I am disputing this December 2017 entire bill statement, as specifically detailed in my 16 timely mailed letters, because you/your company/your personnel failed to allocate the $75.00 allocation of my monthly payments to my "24 month special event" sub-accounts from November 2015 through September 2017, which is non-compliant with the agreement of the 24 month interest free account as was verbally told by your Macy's [redacted], [redacted], [redacted] personnel, and as specifically directed your customer service and billing personnel to do numerous times.14. I am disputing this entire December 2017 bill statement because it is not based on any known accurate arithmetic or mathematical calculations or even GAAP.As of my October 26, 2017 bill statement, the total accumulated allocated payments to this sub-account referred to as "Previous Balance" should have been about $1725.00, leaving a total remaining balance of about $72,60. (If the monthly $75,00 payment allocations had been made to my "24 month special event" sub-account, as originally agreed by all parties.)Be advised, that under the Fair Credit Billing Act, I refuse to make any interest payments whatsoever to the "24 month special event" sub-account (with the original transaction amount of $1797.60) because of your failure to comply with the agreement to allocate and deduct my 24 monthly payment allocations and because of your failure to comply with numerous aspects of my rights the federal consumer credit protection regulations.Be advised, that under the Fair Credit Billing Act, I do not owe any additional amount for the original transaction purchased under the "24 month special event" sub-account, because of Macy's/DSNB's failure to make the stipulated monthly allocation of my timely payments to my account, as originally discussed and agreed with Macy's management and as documented.MAJOR FACT 1: The original amount of my "24 Month Special Event" purchase on September 30, 2015 was $1,797.60. 24 equal monthly payments is arithmetically $74.90.Although I began making phone calls to your supposed "customer service" department to get the correct allocation of my monthly payments allocated to this "24 Month Special Event" sub-account, when received the first billing statement for this merchandise, your customer service department failed to make this allocation. Then I made follow up calls to customer service and your customer service department continued to fail to make my verbally requested monthly allocation from my payments to this sub-account. In September 2016 called Macy's executive offices and spoke several times with Macy's Peter D., who assured me he would have the best person "straighten out" this long recurring problem with my account. When my November 26, 2016 due date bill statement arrived, Macy's & DSNB had suddenly, fraudulently and without any substantiation, factual basis or any explanation, added an amount of S456.39 to the "original promotion transaction amount" of my September 30, 2015 purchase identified on my bill statement under the sub-account called "24 Month Special Event". Macy's and Department Stores National Bank did this without my authorization, without my having made any purchase, and without providing me of any notice or reason for their arbitrary increase, 12 months after my original transaction.I am disputing Macy's/DSNB's persistent non-compliance with the Fair Credit Billing Act because they failed to perform and failed to provide me with an appropriate and adequate investigation and correction to my "September 30, 2015" "original promotion transaction amount" of $1,797.60, after waiting more than 12 months without correction or resolution.Idispute Macy's and DSNB's continuance of performing erroneous basic arithmetic to capriciously increase some arbitrary dollar amount to my "original purchase amount" and continue to refuse to apportion my monthly payments to this same sub-account, both in an attempt to fraudulently increase the amount lowe and fraudulently prevent me from paying down the "24 month special event" sub-account without paying a significant amount of accrued interest.MAJOR FACT 2: All parties agreed to a "24 month special event" account for the original transaction amount of $1797.60 that was to be set up on my billing statements with 24 months of equal payments (each approximately $75.00 per month) with NOINTEREST at the APR of 24.50% "from the date of the purchase until the balance is paid in full."Macy's and DSNB's refusal to do this is non-compliant with the consumer credit protection act, and is a violation of my rights.I am disputing the refusal of Macy's and DSNB to correctly allocate my on time payments to each and every one of the sub-accounts on my bill statement from November 26, 2015 through August 26, 2017, thereby causing erroneous interest charges and perpetual problems to each and every one of these billing statements.I am disputing the repeated failures of Macy's and DSNB to comply with my numerous requests via phone to correct or remedy any of the issues have documented and called about during the time from November 2015 to date, because these phone calls have resulted in nothing being corrected, but rather resulted in more falsification and fraudulent charges and ongoing repetitive failures to allocate my monthly payments in the correct amounts to the correct sub-accounts, specifically my "24 Month Special Event" sub-account which caused a significant incorrect amount of false charges to me. I am disputing the fraudulent practice of Macy's and DSNB increasing the original APR interest rate from 24.50% to 25.50% on my July 26, 2017 due date Macy's account Billing Statements for my two sub-accounts closed "Regular On Or Before 06/29/16" and original "24 Month Special Event". The Federal credit regulation prohibits this. Therefore, Macy's and DSNB are illegally increasing interest rates on my original purchases according to the federal credit regulations.I am disputing the Macy's and DSNB's erroneous and incorrect balance amount of this account.Macy's and DSNB's failure to make the correct monthly allocated payments to my account and sub-accounts is their attempt to cheat me and cause me to unfairly end up with a huge interest payment that is a direct violation of the credit regulations and my rights.I am disputing the fraudulent, false and non-factually based, erroneous and arithmetically incorrect $1533.48 "new balance" of my "24 Month Special Event" sub-account and the $911.88" interest charges" as stated on the December 26, 2017 bill statement due date.Be advised, that I demand that my account be immediately corrected in all respects, including credit to my accounts for the expenses and damages caused to me.Be advised, that I will continue to dispute the fraudulent activities and practices that you/your companies are perpetrating until such time as Macy's and Department Stores National Bank credit my account and reimburse me for my time, expenses and damages resulting from all problems with my account since October 2015, including resolving and remedying these issues with higher authorities and corrections to all of the credit reporting agencies to whom my account has been erroneously reported throughout this time.[redacted]CC: [redacted]YRevdex.com of Cincinnati[redacted] Consumer Affair[redacted] Consumer Affairs

Dear
[redacted]:
I am
writing to you as a follow up to our conversation regarding your correspondence
filed with the Revdex.com and forwarded to Macy’s Executive
Office.  As a liaison in this office, I
was asked to review and respond to your concerns on behalf of Department Stores
National Bank.  It was a pleasure
speaking with you, and I appreciate the courtesy you extended to me during our
discussion.
I
was disappointed to read about the problems you encountered in receiving your
$955.80 credit balance refund after your furniture order was cancelled and for
the miscommunication you received from our telephone representatives.  The service you described receiving from our
staff is not typical of the level of quality customer service that we strive to
provide, and we appreciate your bringing the situation to our attention.  Please accept my sincere apology for the
delay in processing your refund check and for the difficulties you encountered
in trying to resolve this issue.
As
of December 21, 2015, we processed the $995.80 refund to your bank checking
account as you requested.  Your bank
should receive the funds within seven (7) to ten (10) business days.  As of today’s date, your Macy’s account
reflects a zero ($0.00) balance.

your continued loyalty is important to us and we are sorry we have disappointed
you.  Your feedback is critical as it
assists us in understanding our customers' experiences and directs our

January 13, 2016[redacted]Cincinnati Revdex.com, Dear [redacted]: I am in receipt of [redacted] complaint. As a representative of Macy's Executive Office, I was asked to review and respond to her concerns. Unfortunately, I have been unable to speak to [redacted] directly. Revdex.com, We have received the complaint that was submitted to you from [redacted].  We have looked into her complaint and our formal response is that we are continuing to stand by our original offer of fixing her issue with the "flickering" lights. Attached is the...

documentation where we acknowledged the "flickering" at the time of purchase and would diagnose the vehicle.   Also attached is the service records from her visit to our dealership concerning the issue.  We were unable to duplicate the issue that the customer complained of at that time, however we did fix another issue that was recognized.  We recommend that the customer set aside another time to have our service department work to resolve the issue. [redacted]Director of Internet SalesJake Sweeney Chevrolet

Found out it was a sale from Jake Sweeney Chevrolet (Used Cars) 33 W Kemper Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45246.  The vehicle is titled but client still owes a Down payment of $300.00.  you may contact the finance manager on sale: Michelle Mangold at [email protected]. Or mail a letter...

to them.  Please remove us from this complaint.

It is unfortunate that Mr [redacted] is having issues with the purchased of his Chevy Tahoe.  The vehicle is 14 years old after all and was purchased AS-IS(see attached).   As far as the Jake Sweeney dealership knows, this vehicle is not a flood vehicle.  Jake Sweeney is not...

in the habit of selling Salvage, Flood, Junk or Lemon vehicles to retail customers.  These vehicles are titled as such and directed towards auctions, junk yards etc.  Looking at the Carfax(see attached) which was disclosed, the Chevy Tahoe was a 1 owner vehicle and was predominantly owned and registered in the Cincinnati area.  I bring this up because most flood vehicles are sold at auctions and sent to other states.  The Carfax and Title does not indicate that this was ever a flood vehicle either. We would be happy to try to help Mr [redacted] into another vehicle but we cannot guarantee the same payment. [redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.   What information do I need to provide in order to prove that I was not the one who made the purchases?I had also asked for my account to be closed in the past and apparently it never was. Re:  Revdex.com ID [redacted]
       Macy's account ending in [redacted]
Dear
[redacted]:
I am
in receipt of your most recent complaint forwarded to Macy's Executive Office
from the Revdex.com.  As a
representative of this office I was asked to review and respond to your
concerns on behalf of Department Stores National Bank.  It was a pleasure speaking with you and thank
you for the courtesy you extended to me during our telephone conversations on
February 23, 2016, and March 1, 2016.
This letter will confirm our discussions.
In
late August 2015, we upgraded our credit servicing site on macys.com, and in
that upgrade the ability to manage an account on line was restricted to
accounts that are “open”.  Accordingly,
because the account was “closed”, you were no longer able to access and manage
the account online after conversion.  I understand
that your decision at this time is to leave the account in an open status so
that you have the ability to manage the account online.  I confirmed that the status of the account is
open and you may contact our Technical Assistance Team directly by calling
###-###-####, option 6, and a representative will be happy to assist you in
enrolling your account for online access.
With
regard to a delinquency reported on your credit report, my research found that
the information we are reporting is correct.
As a credit provider, we are obligated to report the account accurately
to the credit reporting agencies, whether it is favorable or unfavorable to the
consumer.  My research confirmed that we
did not receive a payment for the due dates of May 2, 2015, and June 2, 2015.  All billing statements were mailed to the
address you provided as your billing address, and I confirmed that emails were
also sent to you at [redacted] alerting you that your statement
was ready for viewing.  Payments can
always be made inside any Macy’s store, by mail, or by calling the number on
the back of your card.  Respectfully, I
must decline your request to remove the delinquency reported to the credit
reporting agencies for June 2015, because there was not a billing or bank error
that occurred. However, on July 16, 2015, we requested the credit reporting
agencies update their records and report your account as “customer disputes
reporting”.
[redacted]
[redacted], we sincerely regret that this matter had to escalate to this point
and for any inconvenience or frustration this matter has caused you.  If I may be of additional assistance, please
contact me at the number listed below.
Sincerely,
Carye C.
