[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response.  If you wish, you may update it before sending it.]They have been to the house and I am in contact with a service technician to help resolve my issue. he agrees that promises were made that could not be met or kettle and should not have been made in the first place. we are still trying to come to an understanding.

All issues have been resolved and the customer is satisfied.

To Whom It May Concern,First of all we apologize for the way in which the communication process took place in this case; we deal with thousands of customers per month that inquire about estimates and never have this type of thing happen so we are going to trace back to whom this conversation took...

place and reprimand that employee. With that being said we do strive to meet with all homeowners of a property and all decision makers. This is a recommended business practice throughout the industry by several organizations. There are several reasons for this; within our product lines there are several styles and colors, grades of quality, warranties and financing options. In order to give a proposal we need input from all homeowners. We have found in cases in which only one homeowner is present that the other homeowner could have completely different ideas on the project etc. Beyond that Wisconsin law requires that all homeowners sign any paperwork involved and be aware of any financing etc. So in the rare occurrence in which we do get together with one homeowner we have had discrepancies with the project and in some cases the other homeowner did not want to even do the project or wasn't made aware of this. Finally this is very common practice in the industry. Simply by calling up any major home improvement company to schedule an estimate they are going to ask and require that all homeowners are present. In fact only unscrupulous companies do not follow this practice. Again we apologize for the way in which this was communicated however this is what we find works best to make sure everyone is on the same page with regard to project proposals. Regards,[redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I still feel that they took total advantage of my elderly mother!  She was mislead by the the Sales person and you can see that right in the contract.  You offered her from the start a total of 10 windows plus a storm door window to be replaced for $10,000.00.  Then they came back and stated she could only get $5,600.00 for the home loan. Where she was totally under the impression they were giving her a discount to have all the windows put in at one time.  Instead, they only did 4 of the 10 windows and the storm door window.  If he was any kind of an honest person he would of then did all the back windows since those were the worst windows.  They were broke and the springs were busted so the windows didn't open.  Not take just the four windows up front that were working just fine.  I have taken pictures of the windows that Mad City put in and you can see that it was poorly done!  If ten windows and a storm door window cost $10,000.00 and you only did 4 windows out of that and charged her $5,600.00 I would say that was taken totally advantage of a elderly person.  I have talked with my sisters and brother and we are all in agreeance that Mad City took total advantage of her!  Plus she got no say in the matter on anything once they ran here loan papers as stated before.  They just picked the windows, and put in what they wanted.  I have a copy of all the contracts and you can see how they mislead and elderly person.  We all believe that they should have to come back and fix all the windows that they stated they were going to do for the $10,000.00 since it was their sales person that stated to my mother [redacted] they would give her a discount on the windows if she did them all right away.  Plus I don't want them talking with her, they can talk with me, since it is so easy to mislead elderly people.

Regards,

Mad City has contacted the customer today and resolved the scheduling issue with the installer being sick and the service is still to take place this evening.

Mad City has resolved this customers concerns as of 1-24-15. We had been in contact in person and by phone a few times before we received notice from the Revdex.com that a complaint had been filed. It appears as though this was file with the Revdex.com shortly before they made first contact with Mad City. The...

customer was given a 500 dollar discount upon install of the window and is able to confirm this by the adjusted statement from the finance company that funded the job. Currently there is no outstanding service for this customer and they have been credited the 500 dollar discount

Just wanted to let you know I sent an email to [redacted]  (production manager) at Mad City on 8/28/17. I still have not heard a response.

The customer was given a $50 restaurant.com card,  as stated on all off our advertisements for the month that he contacted our office for a estimate. I can send him a another card that I have on hand from prior promotions. I would need the customer to call the office and ask for [redacted] to verify...

his address. I will send as soon as I have that verification.

As previously stated we will deal with the discount issue when we conduct the service appointment.

We would also like money back off our loan financed for the inconvenience of this roofing project. We want our job to be completed to our expectations.

Mad City has agreed to settle with the customer at a contract price of thirteen thousand. We are currently set to install the new windows on Friday 9-18-15

We went to the customers house with a new sash to replace the cracked one. Unfortunately it was unable to be installed as the customer did not give the correct window sticker number which is why we arrived with the wrong window sash. We took our own picture of the sticker and, have a new sash along with an entire new window for the other portion of this customers complaint on order. The customer stated they will be out of the country for a year and, did not give a return date when we will be able to contact them to install the new ordered service parts. We have left a voice mail to get an estimated date of return or to see if there is someone else that could possibly let us in to take care of this issue.

To Whom It May Concern,Our previous response on this matter is very clear and concise; we are not going to simply install 6 additional windows at no cost. We visited with the homeowner, settled on a reduced project because of the financing shortfall, explained the terms and conditions, left copies of the contract and installed the product. If this was an issue this should have been dealt with at that time or shortly thereafter not several months later. She did in fact pick something out, that is why we have the paperwork showing this. If the trim isn't what she likes we may be willing to remedy the trim however the contract was installed as it was signed off by her to do the windows that were agreed upon. We did not simply "show up" as is stated here. We came to the home for a change order and 3-4 weeks later came back for the installation. Again at this point we are more than willing to address any service issues or warranty issues. We are also willing to offer the additional 6 windows at a substantial previous customer discount. We can be contacted at ###-###-#### for either one of these areas; sales or service. It is completely unprecedented to for us to simply install the windows at no cost. This is several months after the fact at this point and appears to simply be a case of someone attempting getting something for nothing. Simply repeating that someone was taken advantage of does not make it so; there is no evidence that anyone was taken advantage. Unless a person has power-of-attorney over a person we nor any other company are going to discriminate based on someone's age or not allow them to make a buying decision. We have no record of her calling us stating that she was confused nor any of her family members calling us. The options were presented and she chose what she wanted, this is all in writing and in black and white. Regards,[redacted]

Mad citywindows has not completed...

the work on three windows that they admitted were faulty. It has been two months and nothing has been done as of 5/8/2016 also cory(the owner) offered a refund and to  repair the three windows and still nothing. Mad city windows gave us a different window than what we paid for. Cory said it was a new style, they installed the windows and never informed us which leads us to believe they did a bait and switch. mad city tells us what they think we want to hear and nothing for weeks until we contact them.                Mad city has been at our home to repair a window for the same problem 3 times,we have no confidence in their workmanship. We asked Mad city windows to remove the windows they installed and asked for a full refund and Cory refussed.[redacted]

Mad City has contacted this customer to discuss the options that are available for a resolution. The customers are taking some time to discuss the options amongst themselves and will call Mad City back to further discuss.

As of currently the window project for this customer has been completed. The customer has verified over the phone that they are satisfied. We have also been trying to contact the customer to discuss the complaint filed here and to make sure there has been an official resolution to it. We have...

currently left a voice mail on 6-8-15 and two voice mails on two different numbers today 6-10-15. We are currently waiting for a response from the customer.
