I am rejecting this response because:  Michael & Son Services have not addressed my concern.  My complaint and concern is whether the heat pump system is installed properly.  If Michael & Son Services is saying that their installation of the unit without an expansion valve and without performance of an evaluation of the air ducting system in the mobile home is what constitutes proper installation, then this must be the standard of work delivered by this company.  If in fact it is proper installation and industry standard to omit the expansion valve and not necessary to review the ducting system prior to installing such a unit, then they must state this fact. 
Michael & Son Services make it appear as if my issue is about parts and the cost to have the stuck reversing valve fixed.  But the focus of my concern has been and still is whether the unit was properly installed.  As I am sure they are aware, proper installation according to manufacturer's recommendations impacts the proper performance of this system.

Service has always been timely and efficient, and the service people are personable.

The technician, Cameron, arrived in a timely manner and was quite pleasant. He pointed out what he was doing while inspecting the A/C unit and made recommendations about how to have it run more efficiently.

Michael & Son Service technician, Michael H., performed a detailed professional inspection of my heating/AC unit and provided tips on how we could improve the effectiveness the unit and extend it's life.

We were visited by Troy C (plumber with Michael & Son Services today. It was an excellent service visit. Troy gave us wonderful service and advice as to how to keep our plumbing and garbage disposal in good order with proper usage. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and very professional. Thank you for allowing us to respond to our customer's concern. We are aware of our customer's concern and we are in contact with our customer to resolve in a professional and timely manner. Our technician arrived to our customers residence yesterday morning to start the repair of the driveway. Our...

customer was not home but her boyfriend  was there when our technician arrived. The customer states she was told by her boyfriend that our tech was unprepared to do the job and did not have any tools.  Our technician was prepared and  ready to start the prep work yesterday 5/11/2015 and then return today 5/12/15 to lay the concrete, Our technician was told not to do the work and was escorted  out and he was told  that the Insurance Company was going to take care of the work. Yesterday afternoon our customer called in and spoke with our Plumbing Manager in which they discussed the events that took place.  Our plumbing manager presented some options to our customer in order to complete the work in the driveway. We offered Wednesday to prep and complete the job the same day which means we would manually mix and pour the concrete ourselves or the other option was to prep Thursday and deliver a truck to have them pour the concrete on Friday.  Our customer decided to having the truck come out and pour the concrete on Friday. We are working with our customer to resolve this issue and to close this concern as satisfied.

Yesterday I had a scheduled appointment to receive an estimate with Michael & Sons, Charlottesville. Chris T. came on time and was very courteous and polite. He thoroughly surveyed the problem and then provided me with a detailed estimate for my consideration.
Chris' customer service approach was a great experience and I applaud his service style. More businesses need that approach...

I am rejecting this response because:From: [redacted] <[redacted].com>Date: Fri, Aug 21, 2015 at 1:25 PMSubject: Re: My E-mail AddressTo: [redacted]@myRevdex.com.orgMichael and Sons did call me in July as a result of the Revdex.com getting in touch with them about my issue.  However, I only received a phone call wherein it was indicated that someone would call me back.  There was no response even though the person I spoke with, [redacted] stated that items they requested (pictures) were received.  It would appear at this point, I only get a phone call but no action and no remedy.  By the end of Sept.  more than $13K will have been paid in full but I still have a hole in my wall and a lawn destroyed.  At this point, I feel that just for the just for the discourteous service alone, not only should the pipe and the hole in the wall be fixed but at least sod placed on my lawn after I (at my expense) have top soil put in. Regards,

We feel that Michael & Son has completed everything that needs to be done to satisfy this concern.  And as noted, the previous owner gave us permission to speak to the new owner on what Michael & Son found.

Marcus and the whole team at Michael and Son have been amazing. They were fair with their pricing, showed up when they said they would, and completed our HVAC professionally and well done. We are so thankful for Marcus and his helper Chay!

I know next to nothing about plumbing and was really lucky to have Troy C. from Michael & Sons come out to fix my toilet. Troy was increadibly friendly, polite, and a complete professional! He explained everything that needed to be done and I never felt like he was trying to swindle me ... everything he explained made perfect sense.
The job was done very quickly and Troy stayed extra to make sure there were no additional leaks. I learned so much from Troy and will definitely use his services in the future for any plumbing issue. I HIGHLY recommend Michael & Sons!

Santo and Brice did an efficient and great job of cleaning our heating and ac ducts. Both were friendly and answered all our questions-highly recommend them.

I am rejecting this response because:
I was an electronics technician in
the USAF not that many years ago, so I am familiar with electrical theory as
well as the fundamentals of Heating and Air conditioningIf I had had the
time, I would have run the thermostat wiring myselfI have a full time job and
go to college which makes it difficult to fool around with things that a
professional can fix quicklyInstead of quick resolution this is costing me
valuable time that could be spent doing other more important things
The only original malfunction was
the thermostat wiring which needed to be replacedThe first HVAC technician
demonstrated to me that the AC condenser unit (outside), operated properly, as
well as the furnace (inside), and air handling unit (inside)He demonstrated
their proper operation with both the original electronic control board and with
a newly installed control boardHe troubleshot and isolated the problem to the
thermostat wire which runs from the control board to the outdoor AC condenser
unitThe technician bypassed original thermostat wire leading to the AC
condenser unit and recommended that all of the thermostat wiring be replaced
With the temporary thermostat wire in place, the entire system functioned
properly for seven days
Per the technician's guidance, I
contacted Michael and Sons to schedule an electrician for an estimate of cost
and time associated with rewiring all of the thermostat wireI am still
waiting for an electrician to give me an estimate on the cost of replacing all
of the thermostat wireIn addition I scheduled a sales person to give me an
estimate on replacing the entire system; however, I made clear to the scheduler
on the phone that I wanted an estimate for the wiring job prior to any sales
callMichael and Sons records all telephone calls and they can listen for
themselves to the call I placed on May around
In regard to whether or not my HVAC
system needs to be replaced, I will withhold judgment until I am satisfied that
the thermostat wiring is functioning properlyMichael and Sons has failed to
address a fundamental problem with my HVAC system and prefers to just sell me a
new one that will probably be subject to the same malfunctions if they don't
replace the thermostat wires
Edwin, the HVAC technician stated to
my wife that the fuse in question was not the original fuse that came with the
new electronic control board and that it must have been placed there by the
sales personFurthermore, Edwin stated that this was definitely a problem and
that this was not the first time this type of thing happened with the
sales person named in the original complaintI have in my possession the fuse
that Edwin replaced and it is obvious that the fuse is old and not in a
condition that it should have been, considering that the electronic control
board had been replaced one week prior
Since Michael and Sons is either
incapable or unwilling to fulfill such a simple request as replacing the
thermostat wiring, I will have to do the job myself or find another HVAC
company willing to take my moneyI have been a customer with Michael and Sons
for a number of years and have spent a great deal of money on their services
At the very least I am disappointed with the service I recently received from
their companyNot only did their sales person attempt to take advantage of my
wife while I was out of town at a funeral for a family member, he cost me even
more time and money by sabotaging my HVAC systemNow that my furnace is
mysteriously not working, I am going to have to spend additional time and money
to have another HVAC company come to repair the damage done by the sales
personFurthermore, a dangerous condition may have been created by the Sales
Representative which could subject my family and me to serious injury or even
death
The course of action taken by a
Michael and Sons Sales Representative was despicable, and should have never been allowed to take placeDue to the fact that Michael and Sons has not even tried to
contact me to schedule an estimate and installation of the thermostat wiring,
demonstrates that a culture of greed and dishonesty is endemic within the
companyWhen I see Michael and Sons trucks on the road I'm not angry, I feel
sadness and disappointmentI am truly hurt that a company I trusted would
attempt to swindle me and even do harm by purposefully damaging what was not
previously not brokenI have a two year old daughter as well as several pets
that depend on the proper functioning of the HVAC system in my home and Michael
and Sons put their health and well being at risk, simply to make a few bucks
