I have tried calling back the customer service telephone number given from a voicemail I received saying I had an outstanding balanceI finally had to look online months later, just to see if there was anything I might have missed, after having blocked the phone number 1-866-910-because everytime I answered or called the phone number there was no one on the other side of the line, so I assumed it was a fake debt collectorWhen I went online, it showed a balance using the account number given on the voicemail from October and my home address zip code, which I have never received a statement in the mail regarding this billing issueIt would have been nice to know I could have gone online to see thisI just want to pay it and not have anything wrong with my credit scoreI am a college student who stays away from loans and debt through work/scholarships and now I am worried this will affect my credit score

I do not understand how this company could have possibly gotten an A+ record with the Revdex.com unless it is for simply BUYING themselves a good record When I read through the comoplaints submitted it appears that whatever complaint is filed against them they just do whatever they have to inorder to get a positive review from the Revdex.com While doing this they continue to harrass and use illegal collection tactics on thousands & thousands of people across the country
I have gotten calls from this company in the last couple of weeks at all hoursI do not believe collection agancies are allowed to call very early and very late like this & that it is also illegal for them to continue to call when I have requested they cease and desist calling me on my cell phone as it costs me money! They say it is in regard to a hospital bill but will give me no information what so ever unless I give them all my personal information including my social security number WHICH I WILL NOT DO They will not identify themselves when I ask who is calling The only way I discovered the name of the business was by going to the website 800notes which is a reverse lofor phone-numbres and I had the joy or reading HUNDREDS of complaints exactly like mine They will not identify themselves, the call CONSTANTLY, they will not tell you what it is in reference to other than a "personal business matter" I told them I do not know what it is in reference to but I do not owe anyone for anything and if it is collections (which is what everyone on 800notes claims) I would apreciate if they would simply contact me via mail and let me know what it is about and I would deal with it from thereWell it has been a couple of months and I have not received anything from them but they continue to call in spite of my request that they cease
There are laws regarding collections and if you take a minute and read through 800notes and the reports of all the others who didn't report them to Revdex.com or didn't know to report them to Revdex.com You won't see reports of glowing behavior You'll see reports of nasty, illegal practices which are common in the collections business I have been keeping a log of when they call and the time and date as well as the name of the person calling if I can get it (rarely) These people are as nasty as they come and since I know people who have worked in the business (and quit because they were not comfortable doing what their employer was telling them to do & which they would need to do if they wanted to make their commission at the job) I know it is illegal to even hint to people there will be police involvement and to worry about being arrested They have not made that claim to me but a good number of people on 800notes say they have made this threat to them, too many people for them ALL to by lyingThe police say these are civil matters and you do not have to worry about having them shat your door if it is a simple matter of a debt
I would have expected more from the Revdex.com particularly when they should be aware this IS A COLLECTIONS AGENCY they are referring to If you read their web site and their articles in the news you can read between the lines and see how sleezy these people really are

NB: I hadn't thought of it until now but there are about or reverse-loservices out there (free) which have sprumostly with regard to scam calls saying they are calling from the IRS and scamming people out of money or saying they are from Microsoft and gaining access to peoples computers But they have gotten wider to include all kinds of harrassing calls from telemarketers to collections from SMS to cell phones, from SKYPE & other computerized calls to land-line home phones From civil to criminal cases They are ordinary people who are calling to find out (1) WHO CALLED ME & (2) WHAT WAS THE CALL ABOUT Many times caller ID is worthless today (this company uses a cover so all I get is a phone number I can not call back to find-out what is behind it or who is behind it) Others say they get a recording from a RESTRICTED number with a phone number and a file number to call and make reference to the file number but are then told the caller is unable to locate the file number and THEN THEY ARE PRESSURED FOR THEIR PERSONAL INFORMATION INCLUDING SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERSA legitimate company would contact you by mail first regarding any outstanding billI've not received a anything from this company nor have I received a bill showing an outstanding balance w/a medical provider Why they're calling me is unknown but, by the same token, I can not investigate or resolve the problem if I'm not informed of a problemWith all the scamming & trickery via the phone today (I've been hit by the payday loan scam, the IRS scam & just minutes ago the Microsoft Service Center Scam AGAIN.)It's not safe to give personal info over the phone!

MiraMed's account rep did not lie to the consumerAs I stated in my initial response, when a consumer pays his or her account in full, MiraMed updates the consumer's credit bureau report accordinglyWe can and do make exceptions and will occasionally completely remove the adverse reporting as a courtesy to the consumerBut like I said before, this is not something the account rep has the authority to do or can even offer to doAlso, MiraMed did not refuse to accept the consumer's paymentThe consumer declined to pay after he was informed the account would be updated as paid on his credit report and not deleted
As MiraMed's compliance officer I have the authority to delete the adverse reporting from the consumer's credit report, and I will do so as promised upon receipt of the consumer's paying the account in full

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I appreciate the company for making good on their promiseThank you

MiraMed's account rep was correct in telling the consumer that his credit report would be updated as Paid in FullThe account reps do not have the authority to remove adverse reporting as we do not generally accept payment for deletionHowever, I can have the account removed from the consumer's
credit report as a courtesy once he's paid the account
