Modernize Home Services

I am a contractor, and every lead modernize has released to me has been fake, I have followed up with homeowners to apologize for wasting there time, as they all claim they have not requested work, or do not have the ability to request work because they are renting. Modernize at its core is a lead generation company for contractors, but apparently is selling unknowingly false or fake information to contractors.

They are dogs!!! I have unsubscribed and have REPEATEDLY asked in their phone calls to quit calling me. It got so bad that I ended up lying to them that I've finished my project, and now I'm getting more emails and phone calls wanted to know if I'm satisfied with someone else's work!!

I just recieved a phone call from *** which when I called back lead to the accounting Departments Voicemail from Modernize and stated that on the Voicemail. I am not sure why they called my number. I live in *** Texas. Not *** Texas which is about 1 hour and 30 minutes away. I have never signed up for getting a house estimates or anything done to my house. I am wanting to know more to why they decided to call me. I rent my house. I do not own the house. Why would I put money that I would not get back from my landlord into that house for the that I can move out of at anytime. Getting random phone call without having known about this company.

I used this website to solicit quotes for home project.
Issue one: they gave my contact information to everyone on the planet. I get called all day, everyday now. They are the *** of home improvement quotes, selling your contact info to any company willing to engage in cold calls to drum up business - beware.
Issue two: the contact information associated with some of the vendors is incorrect. If you request a quote and schedule an appointment, there is no real way to follow-up with the contractor if the contact information associated with your so called appointment is incorrect. Calling Modernize is pointless. They have reps that respond to you in ways that range from insulting to sounding like they are a recording. I actually asked the lady I spoke with if she was a recording. She kept explaining to me how Modernize is not the contractor. Yes, I understand the services you provide. However, if you are going to offer contracting services, you could at least provide accurate contact information; additionally your website shouldn't tell state that an appointment is confirmed when it in fact doesn't exist...evidenced by the fact that the contractor never showed. When I asked the rep if she could contact the contractor she said no and hung up. She is the SECOND rep to hang up when I tried to get more information on a contractor.
Modernize- take ownership of your website, train your reps, stop selling information or bow out and let *** and *** continue to operate unbothered by an alleged competitors who can't even appropriately man their "call center".

Months ago I asked Modernize to find a contractor for grout repair and one who did other work--grout cleaning--contacted. Then, about 1-2 weeks ago, I started getting a barrage of phone calls from contractors who claimed to have gotten my phone number from Modernize offering roof repairs. I never requested this--I live in a condo and do NOT own my roof--and am tired of getting these calls. Based on what the contractors have siad, I believe Modernize has released my phone number indiscriminately and/or improperly to contractors and I want them to stop doing so and to contact the contractors so they will stop calling me.

I filled out information through this sote and have been harassed literally every 3 minutes since. I camnot answer my phone because its this company and its sub contractors calling. I cant block a number fast enough. This is ridiculous

Keep receiving spam mail. Unsubscribe doesn’t work. I never gave them my email but I receive couple emails daily and can’t opt out.

I submitted an online form for information on siding for my house. No less than 2 minutes later, my phone was flooded with calls. This is such a terrible experience- I can not even answer one call without another trying to call at the same time. I need this to end & there seems to be no way to stop these calls. I NEED MY NUMBER REMOVED FROM THE LIST.

I have made numerous attempts to talk to someone at this company other than a sales rep. One would think a legitimate business would be interested in having a means for people to contact them. I need to talk with a company rep that is not a sales person. On top of that they have very misleading business practices which I am considering reporting to the Texas Attorney General if someone does not get in touch with me.

Yesterday, I was looking for windows on the internet, I filled out a form and actually spoke to someone from ***. They cannot help me in my situation. However, ever since filling in that form - I have been inundated with phone calls and texts from Modernize concerning window estimates. I have blocked numbers but I seem to just get more from different numbers. I have received multiple calls from Odessa, FL, Vienna, VA, Baltimore, MD, Washington, DC and Austin, TX. They call and I don't answer, so 4 mins later they call again, I don't answer so 4 mins later they call again, I don't answer and block the number. 10 mins goes by and I get a call from a different number in a different city and the routine starts again. This is harassment. Now I am getting calls from No Caller ID.

We have received numerous unsolicited texts, calls, and emails
originating from Modernize. We ignored them all. We want them to stop contacting us, they are blasting us with spam approx 20 times a day.
Today we received a call from a client that wants to confirm an appointment that we never scheduled, Modernize Roofing has used our name and credentials, texted this lady as if they were us to confirm appointment. I have a screen shot proof from this lady that is now upset with us !!

They have called my number 3 times asking for my 9 year old daughter. One rep. was confrontational and accused me of requesting a quote underneath my underage daughters name. This company doesn’t respect privacy request and do not contact preference even after I have explained to 3 other reps that I do not wish to be called and my daughter is 9.

I have received numerous unsolicited texts, calls, and emails originating from Modernize. I would like for them - and any associated vendors - to cease contacting me immediately.

company have promised to sell me home owner appointments on a weekly basis almost 70% of customer provided were not home owner or like in a single family home. I have spoken to the representative many time about the situation only refunded 4 out of the 19 customers that were returned. This is false advertisement of promise on potential home owner and this have cost my business over 100k+ in businesses . I want this matter to be resolved as soon as possible

This company charged me a lot of money to waste my time.
I received nothing promised, and a lot of rude emails implying that I shouldn't Have expected any “free leads” (i signed up literally for the free lead program)
I would REALLY consider another company if you need actual functionality from a lead service.
$. Per non exclusive lead, which seem to be random names and numbers pulled from a phone book is simply a horrific deal.

This company is spamming my emailing 10-15 times a day. I have placed them on my block list to no avail. I have requested they remove me from their marketing materials yet still they are sending me many harassing advertising emails from a "*** every single day. I wish they stop contacting me completely.

I have never contacted this company nor were I aware of their existence until today. All of a sudden I am being swamped with texts and phone calls from contractors asking if I need a new roof or roof repair. I do not own a home to have the roof repaired. There does not seem to be any way to contact the company on their web site to have them remove my number. Either they are using my number without my consent to make contractors think they are getting leads, or some other individual listed my number on their site. Either way, I would like them to remove my number from their listings.

Multiple illegal unsolicited telemarketing calls for home remodeling. Other possible fictitious names include Home Help and Power Home Remodeling. Thing is, I own a new build home. I have never agreed in writing that I am interested in home remodeling.

Modernize does not know how to create solar leads. As a contractor that has been A top rep for Sunrun (the #1 residential solar company in America), and took this success to a better opportunity, I found it offensive that Troy Pacheco (an engagement specialist) tried to tell me I had “obstacles” that were causing me issues with the “leads” Modernize was providing. If you are a potential customer who sells solar, please save your money and go elsewhere. This is not a business for independent contractors to get quality leads. When I purchased your services, I expected quality leads and what I got was nowhere near the word “quality”. My first lead was scheduled in another state although I filled out my radius within 30 miles my state. The rest of my leads never scheduled appointments or the lead had been sold to multiple companies or contractors simultaneously. The disturbing thing is they actually defend selling leads to a dozen contractors. Could you imagine what would happen if our door knockers, call lines, online leads, or retail generators sold leads to multiple companies? You guessed it, they would be fired, so why is it okay for modernize to call and schedule a lead with me, then I get a text from the customer saying he is already moving forward with a solar project after already in “meeting with someone from modernize. I have received several leads that I did not claim, people who cannot speak English, and people who are not serious about going solar. Out of the “13 claims” they said I have, none of them sat which means your sitting percentage (as a company) for me was 0%. That is horrendous. As someone who is currently and successfully selling solar systems, that is not acceptable! If even 1 or 2 sat, then I would have been happy as I would have most likely closed them. Your lead generation team needs to be properly trained to handle each contractor and their needs. Nobody asked or cared what the qualifying questions are to do business with me? Things like trees, credit score, and verified home owner mean nothing to Modernize. Their goal is to pump you with garbage yet call it gold. PLEASE save your money or INVEST it elsewhere!!!!!!!!!! This review was not needed, but Troy refused to reimburse me terrible service provided. If you buy a product and it does not work, do you return it? If you do not want to continue seeing poor reviews then set quality leads with your customers. I paid you guys as a service to create leads for me. I should NEVER have to sell someone on scheduling an appointment. 0/13. SAD.

Sure they get you leads.. but they also give your number out to the rest of the world!!! I've had the most spam calls in the last month than I've had in my life!! It is not worth the "convenience" they offer, just Google local companies and schedule appointments with them directly. Otherwise, I hope your phone has a screening service.
