Daltex Contractors was receiving leads from Modernized, we began to have billing issues with over billing for non leads, like not interest, no phone number, etc. I discussed this issues with my representative and she said she would resolve, that never happened. I told Modernized to NOT charge my credit card each week / month until we reviewed the amount and confirmed amount was accurate, this also did NOT happen. Modernized continued to charge my credit card without authorization time and time again. They finally confirmed via email that I would have a credit on my account for some $2100.00 of overcharges. I requested that they credit back my credit card as I did not authorize the transactions and did not want a CREDIT with a company that I did not trust now. After this request I reached out to numerous people at Modernized with NO response or resolve. I finally called my credit card company and we stopped any transactions from them and disputed the charges and got my credits applied back to my credit card. There is still some $300.00 worth of charges that I was not able to change back to my card and I want to have them pay me back on that additional amount they charged that was an overcharge by them. It is a shame, that they could not resolve this issue, as when I did get a lead from them they were good leads.

I'm very sorry to hear of your frustrating experience. I looked into this issue with our billing department and the Customer Success Manager that was working with you. It appears to have been a miscommunication regarding how the program works and how it's billed. I apologize for that.

The program you were participating in is a lead stream program. We have a per lead price that accumulates a balance as leads are sent. That balance is then cleared weekly by charging the credit card you provided. As long as you're Active with the program, you'll be sent leads and charged every week.

I believe the confusion stems from having your leads also sent to a 3rd party call center with whom we partner, and you were also a customer. They called your leads on your behalf and would transfer them to you when they were able to get them on the phone.

It sounds like you were expecting to pay for only the transfers, and not each lead, which is not the payment model for the program. Apologies again for this not being made clear.

It's unfortunate that the miscommunication resulted in your feeling it necessary to file a chargeback.

We always strive to see our customers succeed with the program, and if there are any issues, reach a solution that allows for a continued relationship.

I own *** in ***. I was contacted by Modernize regarding their customer referral program and signed up. At the time I spoke with their representative, I was told that my company would receive at least 15 leads per month. In regards to the number of leads, I was very intent on this because there are numerous other referral/lead programs which promise a lot and deliver nothing. I am currently approaching the end of my first month with modernize and have only received 1 lead. Modernize says I have received 2 leads. Last week I called Modernize regarding the lack of referrals, someone called me back the next day and I spoke of my concern. I was told not to worry and that someone would look into this and call me back. I have tried calling again yesterday and got a call back today. I was promised that someone would call me back in 30 minutes. That was 1 1/2 hours ago.

Like the other referral programs it appears that Modernize is all hat and no cattle.

I would like to receive my money back and have my monthly membership canceled.

Our monthly calls subscription does on average yield about 15 calls per contractor, however it appears that we did not set the right expectations with you. Clearly, you received far fewer calls than that and we failed to deliver on our service expectations. I apologize that you had a negative experience with Modernize. over the past week ive received at least 50 SPAM calls from companies in Florida about home improvements, roofs, windows, kitchens, bathrooms etc

All of them are telling me they have been given my infomation from a company called modernize .

Im on the do not call list. ive not even requested any infmatmation or work!

I called modinize telling them to remove my number and DO NOT GIVE IT OUT / CALL IT But still the calls keep on coming!

THEY ARE BREKING THE LAW AND I WANT ACTION TAKEN!

I ALSO WANT A GUARANTEE THAT THEY WILL NOT GIVE MY INFO OUT AND REMOVE IT!

AND I WANT COMPINSATION ELSE I WILL TAKE THEM TO COURT / REPORT THEM FOR THIS AND THE PENALTYS ARE A LOT MORE FOR THE 50 CALLS!

2 months ago I decided to give their service a try, they were offering unlimited calls from HVAC leads for $250 a month. I regret this decision because all I did was waste $500 without getting any real leads. The first few days I was getting a few calls and I thought maybe this had some promise, but when I started talking to the potential costumers I knew that most of the leads were fake, or not monitored as much as they promised they do. It was just people trying to get estimates over the phone and not ready to buy, I did book a few appointments with them but then they would cancel the following day. This company promised me that they would screen the calls to make sure the leads were real before transferring them to me. Well one guy I spoke to asked to speak to one of my female employees and I told him I was the owner of the company and I asked why he needed to speak to a female employee. He said all he wanted to do was send a p*nis picture to one of my female employees!! This really pissed me off, they clearly weren't screening the calls because this would have never happened if they spoke to him before transferring him to me. I also spoke to a lady that didn't even know how they got her information because she didn't call them, she didn't know where I was calling from. They clearly lie about their screening process and mislead their customers. Horrible company please read all the negative reviews before deciding to give them a try, something I should have done. I have no idea how they have an A+ Revdex.com rating with all the negative reviews they have. The only reason I even signed up for their service was because I checked out their rating here but I should have read the customer reviews instead.

This company is in 100% willful violation of US can spam laws. They have data mined or purchased my email in order to spam my account with solar rebate crap and other spam. Additionally they are selling my email to contractors illegally as a sales lead. I have 100's of their emails in a folder. I have tried to unsubscribe countless times. I have forward their spam to the FTC and included their customer service email. They have never replied to my complaints. It's not possible to call them because all calls claim to go to voicemail but then you get an error and can't leave a message.

I had agreed to a month to month leads generator source through Modernize with the understanding that I could cancel at any time. I had made known and went over the parameters of where we would like to capture leads for our service area to be a 30 mile radius of *** and although we did receive leads from Modernize, they were over a hour's drive from our service area. I had emailed the sales rep within the first two weeks of starting the subscription (and have the email trail) to cancel my subscription. Modernize continued to bill my credit card and I spoke to a manager who had emailed me confirmation that Modernize would credit the two months (Dec. 2017 and Jan. 2018 at $250 each) and I have not received credit yet. It has been a month since the email was sent to me by the manager and I have left several messages via phone and internet and I have not received a reply back. I have the email trail for the credit but I cannot get an answer as to when the credit will be issued.

There are three reasons I give modernize 5 stars. first, the number of leads we have received from them has helped up grow our business quicker than we thought possible. Second, the lead quality is consistently higher than many of our other lead generation sources. finally our account manager Trish has bent over backward to make make this program as successful for us as it is. I look forward to keeping doing business with them for a long time to come.

I'm a solar consultant for a large solar company based in Northern CA. We decided to team up with Modernize about 4 or 5 months ago to help grow our business and be put in touch with home owners who are interested in learning more about solar. We have had plenty of success calling on these leads and setting up appointments. Of course not every lead that comes through is 100% accurate, but a good portion of them are, and that has led to many happy homeowners & over a quarter of a million dollars in sales in a short period, which also happens to be in the "slow season" of our industry. We have a great Rep who is very responsive and eager to get on a weekly call with us to track our results and help focus on areas that will maximize our return.... A return that has proven to be very lucrative for our company. It's been a great lead source and a valued partnership so far, & we look forward to expanding on that in 2018!

I keep getting phone calls on my cell phone from Modernize using a phone number that shows up as located in Pueblo, CO. I have told them several times to stop calling but the calls continue. Last week I received a call from an Austin, TX number that I assume was Modernize. I am filing a complaint with both the FTC and the FCC, the agencies that deal with unwanted telemarketing/robocalls.

I contracted with Modernize to receive leads for homeowners looking to renovate their property. I was given some loose numbers on how the metrics would play out. These metrics were way off base. I feel like I was sold a bill of goods. Not 1 of their leads equated to anything of substance. The service representatives were equally incompetent. I set up meetings to speak to someone about the poor quality and on 3 occasions I was no showed/no call.

Will not call you back once they get your monie. The leads they are issuing are not what they promised. They send you mobile home leads and we are in solar industry we cannot install solar on mobile homes.I paid for leads and did not get the correct ones and they refuse to return my calls or emails but charged my card.

I apologize for the number of unwanted calls you have received. It can take up to 48 hours to have you removed from our call list but I have ensured that you are now on our Do Not Call list and you will not receive any additional calls.

I am receiving multiple spam emails from this company in my email account "***" despite opting out on multiple occasions. I have sent them multiple requests to remove me from their email list. I have never requested information from this company and have no interest in solar programs for my home. I am tired of receiving spam from this company.

They called me to signup for their service and they lied, *** on a recorded phone call stated they will ONLY charge for actual phone calls to us , yes I have that recorded and forwarded to my lawyer already to get back other money from them and their partner Lightfire. Anyway they charged me over 500 dollars so far for so-called leads that come from email and then we find out they are old leads on top of it, they will get their day I thank the recording my lawyer has said we will sue for damages also

Additionally, to increase visibility per your request we also sent the leads directly to you.Because we are always willing to work with our customers to help them see success with our program, and because your initial experience was so negative, we will accommodate your request to break your initial contract duration and cancel your account.We will also process your requested refund of $444 in the hopes that we could work together again.Additionally, we can offer a full refund for the remaining balance that you're now requesting.We sincerely hope to work with you again and get an opportunity to see success.

Our Marketing department decided to give Modernize a try. We realized that we had wrong addresses, phone numbers, emails from the very start. As the first appointment starting running we noticed they were in poor areas and people expected us to compete with other companies for the lowest price. I did a test inquiry and started receiving calls from other companies. Then a Modernize agent called me, she offered to set me up with a few companies. I asked for my own. I was connected to our call center. Within 5 min of that transfer I was called again by a different Modernize agent stating he was doing a follow-up call to my set. He told me he would like to set me up with a quote from our competition. I said I was fine with what I had, yet he pushed to get me to go live on the line with another competing company. He said they could offer me a cheaper solution. I said no thanks. I received a third call from Modernize pushing another company, telling me that most homeowners want quotes from multiple companies. Again I declined..... Then Home Adviser called along with every company in a lower price range. I spoke to a rep that called me from Home Advisor. He explained that Modernize gives the homeowners information to CalFinder and they give it to Home Advisor. Home Advisor then gives all associated companies the homeowners information. They play the match maker. These leads are extremely beat up and ready to negotiate the lowest price.... and not to mention most have wrong information and they are in tougher areas. There is double dipping going on. Just a heads up. I personally do not want a company that represents us and undermine us at the same time.... and charge us for it.

For the past three months I have been receiving weekly spam email from the Remodel Connection in spite of trying to use the Unsubscribe links provided. I sent them a letter, but it was returned as "vacant - unable to forward". I'm still receiving the spam. I have kept a log of all their spam and the bogus Unsubscribe links used, in violation of the Can-Spam act of 2003. If you would like it, I'd be happy to forward you an email copy.

Buyer beware!!! This company says they provide leads. They only pull information from the white pages often times their are no real property owners nor are the leads verifiable and they will charge more than the invoices that they send if they send an invoice at all. Be advised your company is better serviced with another company.

For 3 days now I have been receiving telephone calls asking me if I would like a quote on a new heating and air conditioning system from at least 10 different companies and approx. 35 calls. I have asked where they received my information and they said that Mordenize.com gave out my information. I have never been incontact with this company. Some how they have stolen my personal information and have solicited my information for their gain. I am tired of the call and I want my information removed from their system at once. The have commited a crime by stealing my information without my knowledge

I have unsubscribed form this fake lead generation service. THEY ARE THE SAME AS ANGIES LIST AND HOME ADVISER. Offering old leads for home improvements. They sign companies up and give them old leads and promises they can't follow through on. Terrible company

Mr *** is not a current client of ours.

He has requested information from our Sales Department in regards to our lead generation services multiple times this year with different reps each time, most recently today 10/31.

Initial engagement began on 3/13 with follow-up on 4/24.

Each time he has been hesitant to move forward with our program after discussing the performance expectations.

On 3/13 he did not qualify for our minimum lead purchase requirement.

On 4/24 he did not want to move forward without guaranteed performance from our marketing channel (which we do not provide).

And today on 10/31, he wanted more information on cost per lead, expected conversions, and total available volume in his market.

At this time he is not a buying customer of ours.

As he is currently engaged with our sales team about learning more in regards to our product, I believe Mr. may have had a change of heart.

However we can cease conversations and add him to our DNC list and remove him from our e-mail lists if that is what he desires.
