The customer received numerous calls and appointments from our subscription program during his time as a subscriber. He called in after his most recent renewal date to cancel and receive a retroactive refund.

Very poor experience with this company. Promises a lot and doesn't deliver. Difficult to resolve problems in addition to their unprofessional staff. Lots of problems and ultimately more hassle than they are worth.

Stay away from this company!

This company is in 100% willful violation of US can spam laws. They are spamming my email account with home remodel referral offers. I have never in any way opted in or given them permission to send me emails. They have either purchased or data mined emails with the intent on mass spamming unsolicited email accounts or they are using a 3rd party to do it on their behalf. If they are using a 3rd party per the FTC they are legally obligated to control them as far as following US can spam laws see: *** which states, "Monitor what others are doing on your behalf. The law makes clear that even if you hire another company to handle your email marketing, you can’t contract away your legal responsibility to comply with the law. Both the company whose product is promoted in the message and the company that actually sends the message may be held legally responsible."

I have forwarded an example of email spam sent on behalf of Modernize. Over the years I have spent hours trying to get rid of their home remodel referral junk.

Modernize is using A Business name "Windy City Mechanical" that is protected by law to use unless Authorized by us. We are not affiliated with there services in any way and they have been contacted by us to remove all content using this name as a Heading to offer services. This is misleading to our existing customers and we have had complaints about this problem for a while now. We request that they remove this name from any advertised heading offering services for any type of work. This is a deceptive practice on there part !!!!!!!

Thank you. I now see that you are talking about Google Adwords ad text and have addressed your concerns. It was never the intent of Modernize to mislead anyone about our relationship with Windy City Mechanical. The sponsored ad depicted in the letter is using a feature within Google Adwords called, "Dynamic Keyword Insertion (DKI)." DKI works by placing a user's query into the headline of a Sponsored Ad.

For example, if Modernize were to bid on the query "HVAC" while using a DKI-enabled Sponsored Ad and a user's query was "Windy City Mechanical HVAC," "Windy City Mechanical" would be automatically inserted into the ad text.

We have added "Windy City Mechanical" as a negative keyword across all accounts in Google Adwords and Microsoft Bing. This action will prevent any Modernize Sponsored Ad from appearing when "Windy City Mechanical" is queried.

Read this before you sign up
We Tried using Modernize for several month purchasing windows leads with a budget of $1250 a week. They did communicate with us on a regular basis, however we realized that the only thing they are trying too achieve is more time and more commitment. Promises, promises promises. The bottom line is we spent close to $10,000 with ABSOLUTELY no Results. Contact ratio was 1% with no conversions to appointments. Not recommended. Don't waist your money.

Unsolicited emails for two months, and I am unable to unsubscribe. No contact information provided in emails. I have no business relationship, and this company is not licensed in this state.

Modernize has provided my private information to no less than 10 window installation businesses located in California. I have never filled out any requests to be contacted, nor nave I sought any information on window installation. These calls are entirely unsolicited. I do not believe it is fair to hold the businesses accountable, as they seem to be following leads they believe were provided in good faith. Modernize has fraudulently provided my information to these businesses under the false assertion that I am seeking such services.

Upon reviewing this record, the record has displayed as opting in via one of our partner's informational lists. This was done through a cobranded effort with our partner. Upon further review, we removed Mr. information after we connected with him over the telephone. We then removed him from our list. The initial partner however did not remove him as he opted in to both of our lists. At times, this can be frustrating for homeowners such as Mr. and as we continue to work on our homeowner experience, we will take this into account as we improve our experience. We apologize for this inconvenience. The information on file has been placed on our global do not call and email lists. After reviewing my emails in my other email account (which I do not regularly check), I found an email from modernize dated 6/20/2018. It claimed I had inquired about home improvement contractors, specifically *** of Orange County. I have never contacted modernize or Window Source. Furthermore, I am not a homeowner and have never attempted to inquire about home improvement projects. I am extremely skeptical about how Modernize obtained my information and I firmly believe that somewhere along the line my information was fraudulently provided for marketing purposes

We severed our business relationship with Modernize on April 5, 2018 due to being overcharged and poor quality of service. I took this issue up with *** to try and resolve the issues and terminate our agreement. Modernize continues to charge me now for services I am not even receiving. Modernize now owes us $816. I have contacted our attorney and bank to resolve these issues. This is obviously a scam!

Absolute worst decision I have ever made signing up for there lead program. It's not even the thousands of dollars I lost to them for literally nothing. Just try and cancel with them and see what happens. Literally was hung up on instantly when I said what I was trying to do. Don't believe me just call the main number and say you want to cancel your account and see what happens. I've never seen such unprofessionalism in my life. Stay away and don't make the same mistakes that I did with them. They should be put out of business.

I get repeated calls from Modernize for more than a year on my Cell phone number *** which has been on the Federal Do Not Call Registry for over 10 years.

When I try to talk to one of their representative telemarketers to inform them not to call my number, they just hang up on me and never let me talk to someone at their headquarters to remove my phone number from their calling list.

Modernize executes their job exceptionally well, always coming to the table with solutions and data driven decisions to back them up. It is truly impressive partnering with them.

Modernize refuses to acknowledge cancellation of services and keep s charging our business account debit card. They ignore email and fax. Voice calls go straight to mailbox. Do not do business with these people.

I receive 3-10 phone calls a day from Modernize soliciting home repairs. I’ve went through the steps to get off their “do not call” list a dozen times, but I still receive calls 7 days a week for the last few months, at all hours of the day. I’m tired of the constant harassment.

We do have the phone number you provided on our DNC list, and it's actually blocked in our phone systems.

I'm not sure how you would still be getting calls from us, so I've forwarded this message on to our call center director.

I own a Plumbing & AC company in south Texas I use Home Adviser and have good results for my plumbing side. Modernize approached me and said they could really bolster my AC business so I sighed on. BIG MISTAKE !! In less than 2 months I've received 123 leads and have only been able to make a house visit 5 times and convert 1 lead into a sale. the leads we get from Modernize are old, people who have never asked for service and are people who were tricked into making a service request by the promise of free AC system by the government. I get Text alerts all night with bogus leads. Very Very Poor company. They should be rated F- by the Revdex.com how do you have 41 complaints and still get A+ ?
