Was a long-time customer and when I went to cancel and move to a different provider it took weeks, multiple calls with hour long hold periods and they still kept charging my credit card for months after I had jumped through all of the hoops to cancel. They credited me back for part of it, but its still pretty shady and an example of poor service.

Would not recommend Monitronics or "Moni" to anyone.

I have utilized the services of this company in excess of 20 years. They are always responsive to any concerns I have and promptly make all the necessary adjustments or repairs. This company takes security seriously and has timely reacted to all alarm situations, calling me first and then dispatching law enforcement immediately to my home. I have had the need to work out of state during the week, leaving my spouse at our house alone. We both enjoy peace of mind during those absences, knowing that our security system is there for us. Thanks Monitronics for providing excellent service throughout the years and yes I recommend your company each and every time I possibly can. I have used your security services in both Texas and Louisiana and no matter where I am at, I know your company is on the alert for our well being and safety.

I have had the same experience that a previous person wrote. Your Cancellation Policy is terrible in this day and age. You sure are Jonny on the Spot with your offers. Was given a wrong address to send my letter to and now you will charge
me for another month. When you can transfer money with a bank in and blink, your cancellation policy should work that way too.

I'm pleased to review the system installed in my home in November. It is simple to operate and very self explanatory. When pressing the medical alert, by accident, the monitoring station calls immediately to check on the situation. The technician who installed the system was very knowledgeable and thoroughly as well as kept the area clean. All in all I'm very please to recommend Moni to anyone who is considering the installation of a safety system.

Moni faked a signature on the contract and instead of helping resolve the problem THEY caused, Moni sent my parents to collections. Moni bought the company my elderly parents had initially signed up with for security back in 2000. In 2012 someone signed a five year contract. I have the contract and the signature is NOT either of my parents. Not even close. My parents moved and no longer need security. My parents sent a notice to Moni saying they no longer needed the service but Moni continues to bill my parents and also sent them to collections. I tried to help but everyone at Moni with whom I spoke refused to help.

I have been very happy with their customer service , anytime I need any questions answered they go out of their way to make me feel secure! I love that I can control everything thru my phone while I'm at work I know my house is safe and not in harms way! Would definitely recommend to all my friends and family and the great part about it it's inexpensive!

I had alarm services with monitronics. was NOT happy with their services canceled. They ask you to write a letter to cancel. I have wrote two letters they harsh me calling everyday. Say they cant find the letters. I still have a copy of one letter. I know I have canceled. tell everyone who calls daily even Saturday and Sunday's that I do not want their services. They try to get me to agree to send someone Out to upgrade my services. I DO NOT WILL NOT WANT ANY OF THIER SERVICES!!! Have never been involved with a company who will NOT take the hint. Who bothers me on a daily basis. Extremely disappointed with this company.

I am a new customer to this business. I had a rep out today to set up the equipment. As the appointment went long and I guess he wanted to go to lunch, I heard him on the phone saying that I didn't know what I wanted and the system would be sufficient as is. I then checked with him that the set up was complete. He looked me in the eyes and said it was. With a suspicious feeling, I called the company who informed me that it was not completed on their end. They also said techs "just do that." Really? That's alarming!

I have recently signed up for security monitoring with Monitronics. They were great and really worked with me to make sure that I was getting the right package for me. I had spoken with other security companies prior to Monitronics but decided to use this service because they were professional and great customer service.

I just moved into my first home. I have a Moni Smart Security system and am very pleased with it. The app you can download on your phone is great. You can turn your alarm on or off in the house or if you forget to set it before you leave. That is one of my favorite features. I also feel very safe with having the alarm installed and the company has been great with the installation process, and communicating with me to make sure everything is going well with the system.

Horrible company. Takes out your money when you ask them to wait or wait until a certain date! They take it whenever they please AFTER saying they will wait!

This seriously feels like extortion. I can't believe this company is still business. They don't deliver on what they say they do and if you try to get out of your contract they try to force you to pay whatever's outstanding when the service didn't work in the first place. I've never had a worse experience with a company. I've tried to call for resolution multiple times with NO help. I wouldn't with this company on my worst enemy.

This has been the worst company I have ever worked with. They scare you into getting their system and lie about their capabilities then lied again about what they could do for me when I moved then made it impossible for me to cancel the service. I had to stop the payments through my bank.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! I tried multiple times to add additional equipment and made several appointment to which they NEVER SHOWED!!! I finally cancelled my account and now they are charging me for service after my account was supposed to be cancelled and although I have proof they received the paperwork in time however they are still denying it.

When we signed up for the service at our business we specifically told the agent that we were not sure if the business would make it in that location. The agent assured us that the contract would be null and void if we ended up going out of business. When we went out of business and tried to cancel the service, we were told that we could not cancel and that we would have to continue paying for another year even though the business had closed. Called them several times and the customer service was horrible. Even tried working with the supervisor and they would not cancel the service. Very disappointed that they did not keep their word and continue to bill us for services that we no longer use since we went out of business. I would not recommend them to anyone.

I have been battling a settlement of a bill for several weeks. My cameras were installed incorrectly by one of Monitronics contractors. I had to have a tech out several times and he finally had to replace the cameras. I was told the original installer would be billed the charges. I have received multiple phone calls from Monitronics telling me my service going to be affected if I didn't pay the bill. I called twice and was told by the CS rep that a supervisor reviewed my account and cleared it. I received another call today and when I called them back, I insisted on speaking to a supervisor. It was next to impossible to get a supervisor on the phone and I was then told I would have to call another department tomorrow. I have inquired about cancelling my service and still have not received an answer. I am furious with the customer service I have received with Monitronics and would not recommend them. I am going to file a formal complaint with the Revdex.com, as well.

My Monitronics account (cr: XXXXXXXXX) was cancelled at my request in December, 2016, and my service was disconnected on January 2, 2017. Every day since the disconnection I have received at least three toll free robocalls saying Monitronics misses my business and asking me to call their "Loyalty team". This is HARASSMENT! and I do not know how to stop it.

This is seriously the worst company I have ever dealt with. They are not helpful at all. I moved and paid my last bill. They left the service on continued to charge me, They call literally about 50 times a day and annoy me. Do not do business with them!

DO NOT sign a contract with these people. Moved from a single family home to a condo. Had 3 months left in the contract and they still wanted to charge the three months. There are a lot better systems out there that c
are a lot less. Was on time every month with automatic draft and they would not even consider cancelling. Should have known they were crooked when they asked for my ssn#. STAY AWAY!!!!!!

Very difficult to cancel the service. Monitronics will not accept a call unless you have a phone password, which is understandable, but I have forgotten my password, and they refused any alternate verification. They continue to debit my account and after several stop payments they changed the business ID attached to the withdrawal requests, therefore bypassing the stop payments previously set-up. This is a dubious and underhanded technique.
