Review: I rented a room at Motel 6 on the 2nd of March while [redacted] noticed the had double mirrors in the room I can see shadows coming from the mirrors and as I got closer I could hear several voices from men and women. Went and asked for another room, same results double mirrors! Bad attitudes!Desired Settlement: I want this motel shut down for violating my privacy rights.

( I did file this response on 3/10/15)Mr [redacted] complained that there was a double mirror on his guest room wall allowing the occupants of the adjoining room to spy on him. He also said that the persons there were talking about him. Although no such mirrors exist in any of our rooms, and the adjoining room was vacant, our staff moved him to a different room in the hope of reassuring him. Unfortunately, Mr [redacted] made the same claims about the new room. We regret that we were unable to answer his concerns to his satisfaction. It would appear that he has problems that are beyond our scope.

I was at motel 6 at [redacted] hwy in[redacted] April 10th 2014 and my daughter was covered in bed bug bites the next day and I had took her to [redacted] hospital to be looked at and it was confirmed they were bed bug bites. We also saw some bugs crawling all over her mattress after we stripped the sheets. I informed the woman at the desk who changed our room. We noticed that they threw the mattress away but when I approached the manager for a refund he said that it didn't come from him it must've came from us. (But we had no bites or problems when we first checked in) When I contacted corporate office they said that that's a independent motel 6 and that there is nothing they can do. I have pictures of my daughter's bites, our doctor report and the mattresses in the motel's dumpster. I believe the good people of [redacted] should be warned about this and that I should receive a refund. Review: I stayed at the motel 6 for about 7/8 days in a row, 2 nights ago I stayed in the room and noticed cockroach infestation. The next day I went downstairs to discuss It with the manager asking if I could get a discount on the room because of the cockroaches. The manager said no, after a customer walked in she refunded me fully for the price of the hotel. At the time of the refund, I asked if she would prohibit me from staying in the hotel, [redacted]’s (Gen. manager) exact words were “I wouldn’t do that.”

The next day Summer (Associate) I asked to rent the room for 60$ cash. She then told me that she could not find record of me paying for the previous night, I explained that the general manager fully refunded me. She eventually accepted the payment while telling me I have a bad attitude and swiping my debit card, after swiping my card she threw it at me.

I stayed in room 216. The roach infestation was in the bathroom (drain area).

Today, I called to make a reservation. Summer informed me that I wasn’t allowed to stay there because of my “attitude.” I asked to speak to [redacted] about it, she then hung up in my face.

I then called the corporate office, she put me on the “No-Rent” list.

I then went in to talk to the general manager [redacted], who informed me that she would permanently place me on the “No-rent list” she made degrading comments and told me the leave the premises, she threatened to call the cops.Desired Settlement: I would like [redacted] & [redacted] fired. I am homeless and they threw my life in a tailspin. I would like a discount, a refund of half my money or anything that can take me off the No-Rent list.

Review: Hello,my complaint involves my stay at the motel 6 in Washington,PA. We are doing work in the area and elected to stay at this facility due to it's proximity to our work site. Needless to say the accommodations are not ideal and the staff is exceedingly unaccommodating and rude. I have been at this hotel for eight days Our room has yet to be cleaned. We were told the room would be cleaned on a weekly basis mind you we are going on day nine of our stay. Our door handle is broken which is not only unsafe but also leaves our room susceptible to many critters. Upon going to the management at the front desk of the unsanitary conditions of our room (e.g. dead bugs, dirty sheets, no clean towels ect)I was told "you can have your money back and go elsewhere" I then asked for clean towels at least and went on my way. Review: I was in 125 at the Motel 6 staying for a funeral. I found a big in my room and caught the bug and give it to the assistant manager Georgia . She examined the bug and stated I would get 10 percent off my next stay. I explained I would not be back and she then proceeded to ignore me. I then left after ten minutes. I wrote a email to the company and talked about the bug issues and the missed billing of my card. the company only addressed the billing issue and not the unclean bug infested rooms.Desired Settlement: I want my 240.50 refunded back to my credit card

Review: I am being wrongfully accused of smoking in the hotel room. Last year in May of 2012 we made a reservation and stayed at the Motel 6 in Oceanside, CA it was a nice motel for a decent price and excellent location. We were very satisfied with our stay. Last week I called to try and make a reservation for the upcoming labor day weekend and [redacted] the person who answered the phone told me that unfortunately there was a note on my name stating that "there was evidence of smoking found in our room" so I could not book a reservation. [redacted] advised me that I could talk to the manager to see if he would consider removing the note and letting us make a reservation however he would not be available until the following Monday August 26th, I called on the 22nd. So On Monday my husband called to speak to the manager and was told that he got called out for an emergency and was not available. My husband again called back on the 27th he finally got to speak to the manager [redacted] who told him that he would look into it and get back to us. Today which is the 28th I called again to speak with the manager since he hasnt gotten back to us and spoke with [redacted] who answered the phone, apparently everyone in the hotel knows of this situation because now the manager seems to be "to busy" to talk to me. I was told by [redacted] that [redacted] is very busy with constrution and is in and out all day and very hard to get ahold of and I could try emailing him . I would not be trying to resolve this if I thought there accusations were true. In no way shape or form did they find evidence of smoking in our room. Neither myself or my husband smoke.Desired Settlement: I would like them to take that note off of my account and allow us to make future reservation if we ever decided to stay there again after all of this. Customer service should always be a businesses main priority and I don't think they care.

Since we a 100% non-smoking hotel, we have a fine in place in the amount of $150 for violating this policy, however you were not charged because you booked through [redacted]. We also place the guests' in violation on the Do Not Rent List to avoid future occurrences. We have this policy in place in an effort to enhance the stay for all current and future guests.

We never approach this lightly and upon discovery of such violations our housekeeping supervisor and our front desk supervisor subsequently inspect the room.

In light of receiving your letter we are willing to lift restrictions that disallow you to reserve a room with us. We sincerely apologize if there have been any misdoings.

At this time you will be able to book a room with us given that you provide a credit card to put on file. This a standard practice and actually a requirement to book some of our nicer rooms, which I highly recommend be inquired about

when booking at our property.

Review: I was staying at Motel 6 with my dad before I left for England for cancer treatment. The AC in my room was broken so I took my service dog Freya down to the pool with me to cool off. The manager, [redacted] happened to be the manager. She came out screaming at me and told me to get out of the pool and that dogs weren't allowed. I got my dog out of the pool and proceeded to leave. She pushed me on the back and started screaming about the breed of my service dog that she wasn't allowed at the motel but when I checked in they told me dogs were allowed and even if they weren't service dogs are always allowed. I went up to my room took a shower and washed my dog. Then I got a knock on the door from the police telling me I was evicted and could just go to another motel 6. I then went to another one close by and they refused to help me because the manager called all the motel 6s and told them I had a vicious pitbull but my dog is a service dog and not a pitbull at all. service was terrible, the room was dirty,the staff hardly speaks any english. The AC was broken and the water came out cold and the ice machine was broken. This women did this to me strictly because she doesn't like meDesired Settlement: I would like my money back for the time I stayed with my dad. I would also like the manager that did this to me to be written up and spoken to about this. Its not right to treat people with such disrespect for no reason.

Review: My name is [redacted],I was a guest that stayed in your hotel Motel 6 in Sacramento Rancho Cordova, on 4/10/2015. First off, my family and I were extremely unhappy with our stay to the point we are requesting a refund. This particular hotel was not clean and I would have left immediately if it wasnt to late at night. the rooms smelled like a carton of cigarettes was smoked inside of it, which should have been non smoking. the sheets were dirty. outside the room there were cigarette butts on the prpoperty and all around. The guest in other rooms were smoking marijuanna and partying all night.My spouse felt unsafe to go down to the car to get our handicap daughter a diaper because of the other hotel guest smoking and doing drugs next to our car. It was a lot of activity and noise until the early morning hours. Lastly, I didnt not feel safe at this location .My wife who is also allergic to cigarette smoke had a sinus issues because the room smelled of strong cigarette. We would not stay here again . Is there anything you can do for us regarding this matter?Desired Settlement: Refund period. this was an unsatisfactory stay and we will never stay here nor will we ever recommend this hotel.

Review: stayed at this facility for the convenience. first time, I stayed there and the hot water did not work. Contacted the front desk who (AFTER MULTIPLE INQUIRIES) finally sent someone to the room. the person CONFIRMED that the handle was broken and agreed to move us to another room. Second visit, the hot water was not working. Contacted the front desk for approximately 3-4 hours while being lied to from the manager of the facility. Kept telling us that the maintenance person was coming although the maintenance person was off of work for the night. the manager just lied for several hours and nothing happened. we were unable to bathe for the night or the morning. there was a party that did not end until after 2 in the morning and despite the fact that we complained to the management, nothing happened. The manager refused to move us and refused to give us a refund for the night considering that we could not take a shower or bath in the bathroom. The manager was rude, mean, unprofessional, obnoxious, a true racist. The whole team (his family) accused us of doing something to the nozzel in order for us NOT to get hot water. who the hell does that? who does not WANT to take a hot shower in a room that was paid for? Ridiculous. Vending machine took money without getting snacks and the manager lies and says that the vending machine is not his responsibility. this motel needs to be out of business.Desired Settlement: refund of my money for a night spent in a room where the bathroom could not be used.

Review: I called Motel 6 Customer Service to let them know that Motel 6 on Hilltop Dr. in Redding, CA has BED BUGS. Melissa at the front desk said they use to have an issue. I had BED BUG BITES all over my back and my arms and requested a refund. I have called and emailed Customer Service. The email said someone would get back to me and no one emailed me back. [redacted] with Customer Service kept me on hold for 36 minutes and then the call was somehow conveniently disconnected. When I called again, Marty said they did email and then told me the email address which wasn't ours. How can they get the email address wrong when it's automated and generated by my initial filing a complaint email? Really POOR Customer Service and DECEPTIVE by stating they no longer have a bed bug issue.Desired Settlement: I request a full refund due to being deceived and told by Melissa at the Front Desk that they no longer have BED BUGS when I was still bitten on my back and arms.

Review: On January 09, 2015 we arrived at the Motel 6 late in the evening. We make this drive at least twice a month and had stayed at this hotel prior to this and had never had any issues. The president of the rescue I work for had reserved the room in her name, [redacted]. We arrived, settled in for the night, and I sat down and was reading a book on my [redacted]. I fell asleep with the [redacted] in my hands. The next morning, when we were packing up, I failed to take my [redacted] with me. I realized it later that week and contacted the hotel. I was told there was nothing in the room, and I must have been mistaken. I was very aware of exactly where the [redacted] was and I was upset with the attitude of the person who I talked to on the phone. I, then went online and wrote to the customer service department and was sent an email which said the [redacted] had been returned to the person who had rented the room, and the issue was resolved. I knew this was not true as [redacted] had not returned to California, I was driving while we were there, and she has not returned to the hotel. I tried to contact the customer service person who had sent me the original letter but there is no way to contact anyone. When I wrote a response to the letter telling me they gave it to [redacted], I got another letter telling me to contact the location. I still do not have my [redacted], which was left in the room. I am very frustrated at the way this issue has been handled. I have talked with [redacted] and she is willing to write a letter stating she never received the [redacted] and has not even been contacted regarding the [redacted]. .Desired Settlement: When my [redacted] was lost I just wanted it shipped to me. This is still exactly what I want. I miss my [redacted]. I read a lot and they have had it long enough. I also would like to know how they are planning on fixing the customer service issue. Review: I wrote to the Revdex.com about a theft that occurred on 3-31-204 at Motel 6 at 1111 Lindhurst Ave in Linda, CA. At the hours of 5am to 5pm on 3-30-2014.

I had brought 30,000 of my sports cards to the Motel to conduct a sale with the permission of the day manager ([redacted]) who saw the cards I brought. I used the luggage carrier to bring the cards up to my room [redacted] when I checked into my room the AM of 3-30-2015.

I knew the maintenance man [redacted] and asked him to keep a eye on my room while I went to visit a friend for 2 hours. When I came back to my room there was people in my room who I didn’t know. [redacted] had let them in my room with one of the maid’s master keys they use to get into rooms and clean them. When I returned to check out the A.M of the 31st of March 2014 the persona at the desk told me that I could not check out of my room and if I tried to come on the property I would be arrested. I asked where my cards were and all if my personal belonging were the lady on duty said she called the manager ([redacted]) and was told to lick my things up and I had to wait until Monday when the manager was on duty to get my cards and personal things. When I came on Monday AM and told [redacted] what happened she said that her staff did not call her to store my things. At that time I asked her what to do and she said to make a police report in order for their Insurance Company to pay me. The collection was worth close to 50k to 75k. I was told by the Yuba City Sherriff’s that it was a civil matter and I would have to file charges. I did so and now I have to hire a civil attorney to do this. I don’t think the owner of Motel 6 knows what happened and I cant get his phone # to talk to him. I have Proff because the cameras were working and the people whole stole my collection told me they did it.

Mr [redacted] is in fact on our DO NOT RENT LIST . He was a guest here on around the dates he has given. I had another guest here that time named [redacted]. He is not an employee of our business he is in fact a friend of Mr. [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] did come in and complain with me. I advised him to make a police report and that I would review our cameras. Upon reviewing the cameras at no time did anyone enter his room other than Mr. [redacted] and his friends that he was seen letting into his room. We did have a problem and complaint in regards to Mr. [redacted] being the said accussed of stealing someones narcotic pain meds. This lead to Mr. [redacted] being put on our do not rent list. As well as all the traffic in and out of his room at all hours. It is my belief that Mr. [redacted] is trying to ruin our reputation and trying to get money... when in fact his own friends and ppl he let in his room probably stole his belongings. Review: My family and I booked a room at the motel 6 in [redacted], PA for the 150th Gettysburg.Initially, there were no glaring issues, save that we had to kill several bugs, including a caterpillar and a spider in the room. When we returned the second evening, we had to go to the office to have our keys re-encoded, when we got into the room, there were cigarette ashes on the bed of a non-smoking room.The room was never properly cleaned during our entire (and aborted) stay.The final straw came when we returned the third evening to find a piece of tape sealing our door lock. When I confronted the person at the desk, she denied that there was tape on the lock - effectively calling me a liar in front of a room full of people. When I reiterated my complaint, she got snotty with me and said they were "hosing down" the area, and the tape was there to keep the water out of the lock. thus, she indicated that she knew there was tape on the lock.Given her attitude, I asked to speak with the manager. She said "that's not going to happen."I told her we were leaving, and demanded an updated bill refunding the nights for which we had paid, but would not be using. Motel 6 sent several apology letters, but as they say, talk is cheap.

They then sent a coupon for a free night's stay in a Motel 6, which we shredded. We will never again stay in a Motel 6.

Finally, after several weeks, they did refund the entire price of our stay.

There has been no word of any discipline of the employee / manager in question, but I guess one cannot have everything.

Review: When I checked into the Motel 6 at 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday May 22, 2013, the hotel agent failed to inform me that there was no running hot water. After I unpacked, and went to draw a bath I saw that there was no running hot water, and immediately contacted the front desk to inform them that I was unable to bath. The hotel agent "**" stated that I needed to give it an hour before the hot water comes back on. I waited, and then called him back at which point he stated that he couldn't give me a refund after I stayed there for more than 30 minutes. I mentioned to him that allowing people to stay in a hotel where there was no running hot water was wrong, and that the hotel was technically inhabitable until the problem was fixed. ** hung up on me after stating "I knew there was no running hot water but would you have stayed here if I told you?" I continued to call him demanding a refund. He refused to answer. The next morning I got up at 5:00 a.m. hoping that there would be running hot water, to no avail. I then contacted the front desk again, informing them of my concern and asking if I can be reimbursed. I further informed the hotel rep that I also found dead bugs in the corner of the room, which indicated that it was just fumigated for bed bugs, but was another concern of mine. She informed me that she was going to fix the water and get back to me. I finally left after waiting until 7 a.m. to see if I could take a shower before work, to no avail.Desired Settlement: Full refund of $65/and an apology for the medical bill and the asthma attack I had as a result of the horrible treatment and hotel conditions.
