Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The representative who wrote the response is wrong.
The disclosure I received with the $50.00 gift card states "An inactivity fee of $2.95 will be assessed after 12 consecutive months of inactivity."It says nothing about charging an inactivity fee or any other fee of $2.95 for each month thereafter.
Regards,[redacted]

Revdex.com:
Mpell solutions,
Thank you for your prompt response. The gift card was indeed used fraudulently by someone unknown to me. What I have been trying to communicate to your company is that the fault does not fall upon me if your company is too lazy or unwilling to pull camera footage or investigate further. It is your due diligence to research the activity and if you are in doubt that the consumer is telling the truth, then you do not just accuse someone of a serious crime, you refund them what is due them. I advised I was and still am more than willing to send in my DL to eliminate any doubt. And yes my language was out of character, I was accused of theft. I do NOT take well to that. Please remember to add my Apartment Number on the address it is Apt [redacted]. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

I recently had signed up adt alarm myself during the promotion they were offering the $100.00 gift card.
I had completed all the necessary steps to qualify for it and then when I receieved the email from mpell solution they advised me I was going to be paying for shipping and handling. I had the contacted adt and they advised I was no longer in need of sending that paperwork and that they would take care of it.
Few days later I was emailed paperwork stating if I did not complete the paperwork they would not be sending it out. So I completed the paperwork and called them the following day to make sure they had received it. They stated no, but will not be in need of processing that paperwork due to adt finally came thru with the request of not charging me. So I then reached back out mpell and advised them to send my check back. They tell me they can not send it back that its part of their process to do all paperwork that comes in.
They are a scam, a fraud, and a liar!!!
Do not do business with them!!!

Please, however, understand that my [redacted] installer specifically said that "they don't deal with that part of it" meaning the [redacted] gift card and said no more about it. That is what I was trying to convey in my first message. I was given no instruction on how to follow up and I thought the gift card would come automatically.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint id [redacted] , and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.   I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. It really bothers me that you have treated me as a thief and a liar when I have done absolutely nothing wrong.   what you said about the similarity in the transactions on the 2 cards was so untrue!   I may have used part of the first card at a [redacted] on [redacted] , which is near my home, but not at the location provided in the [redacted] location history on the second card (the transaction history shown on the 2nd card was [redacted] , which is located at [redacted] ; not at [redacted] , which is contrary to what you wrote in your 10/20/2015 email to me) .   i'd love for you to provide the transaction history for the first card that I supposedly used at the "exact same locations" (assuming that you do not fabricate the history on it) .   I have never been to any of those places that were listed as transactions on the 2nd card (which I did not receive) so there is no way that the transactions were "exact", practically, or even closely identical.   also, I have already told you that I live alone in a secure building with locked mailboxes, so there is no one in my household, who could have possibly stolen or used my mail.   it is rude to continue to insinuate that. I find it "interesting and extraordinary" that you fail to deliver the gift cards that are promised your customers in a timely manner using common sense methods of delivery including, but not limited to, using a tracking number, signature confirmation, or using a digital code through electronic means, while calling your customers liars when they follow your policy to contact you if they do not receive the gift cards within the time frame set by you. I also hope that your fraud department does investigate, and finds the person who stole the card, so that you can contact me to apologize.   I realize that an apology from you is only wishful thinking on my part, though.
regards,
[redacted]

Hi [redacted], I just read your message about my complaint, that it is closed. I didn't know I was to respond back to you,I didn't see anywhere to respond. The only thing I wanted was the $100.00 gift card they promised me with the order & I have been waiting for it. The email said it would be in the mail 7 to 10 days. Would you check into this an see what's going on an let me know.

I was told by ADT that I would receive a $100 gift card. After not receiving it for a month I called and was given a number to call.... They gave me dish networks number! After calling a again then gave me the number to a contractor who installed my system he then gave me the number to Mpell. Basically ADT doesn't send you anything and this company requires you to jump through hoops and send them money for shipping and handling. Completely ridiculous and borderline false advertising. I now want to cancel my ADT contract but they want me to pay for 36 months after telling me I would only be locked in for 2 years! SCAM!

We will resend your redemption booklet.  You only need to send a monthly gas receipt each month for $10 and you will receive your reimbursement.  Please call our customer service number on the reimbursement forms if you have any additional questions.  Thank you.

Ms. [redacted],
We have mailed a check for the $112 you requested PLUS an additional $50 for your inconvenience (including the effort to file a complaint with the Revdex.com).  This was an accounting error on our part and we sincerely apologize.
Thank you,

Mr. [redacted], The gift card you received is issued by [redacted] and distributed by Mpell. Mpell does not control the gift card terms or conditions.  Having said that, the $2.95 monthly inactivity fee is a standard and universal term on the [redacted] gift card and is clearly described in...

the advertising offer and your card carrier and the card tracking website. This term became effective with the 2009 Federal Gift Card Act.  Unfortunately, your complaint is not a valid reason to reissue the card. You have our sincerest apologies. Mpell Customer Service
