Mr. Electric Reviews (165)

I was extremely pleased with Robert Facio who installed a ceiling fan unit in my kitchen. He was very pleasant and professional, explained the possible installation options and the estimates and made sure everything was covered in case of any ceiling debris. I would not hesitate to contact Mr. Electric again!

Corey did a fabulous job. He was professional, thorough, and personable. I highly recommend him.

Eric Mabry, the very nice, competent technician, arrived on time and completed the wiring and bracket for our patio ceiling fan for what we felt was a very reasonable price. Highly recommend!

I had Mr. Electric provide an estimate for installing an electric car charging station in my garage. After talking with the estimator, Eric Mabry, about my requirements, I decided to change what I asked for. I spoke with Jennifer at Mr. Electric and they provided an adjusted estimate based on my changes within the hour. I decided to have Mr. Electric perform the installation, and Eric Mabry was also my installer. The actual installation cost was less than the adjusted estimate. I had a great experience doing business with Mr. Electric.

I have an older home built in the early 1950s with a fuse panel and breaker box. One of the fuses for the bedrooms and bathrooms has blown a number of times, and I completely lost electricity to the rooms on a Sunday night. The fuses were fine and we could not find anything apparently wrong. After searching the Revdex.com, I called Mr. Electric. Albert arrived mid-day and completed a thorough diagnostic, found the issue was a dead section of the fuse box and rerouted the wires to restore the electricity. He was hands-down the best service technician that has ever visited my home. He diligently checked the outlets, was patient in educating me on the fuse and breaker boxes, issues with how electricity was routed from the lights to outlets, and potential problem with the manner of the AC connections. I need to replace the fuse box, and at some point the breaker panel; but Albert didn’t push the replacement as most other technicians, such as plumbers and pool servicemen I have hired. He graciously provided a quote for the replacement. The cost to restore my electricity was incredibly low; his knowledge and professionalism was well beyond the electricians I hired to check the home when I first purchased it fours years ago. They get an A+++ from me. If you need an electrician – this is the company to hire!

Robert F. was on time for the scheduled appointment on 8/23/16. He gave me his business card when he arrived. He thoroughly explained what he was going to do and updated me as he completed his work. He cleaned up after he was done.

My family has used Mr. Electric for a number of electrical-related jobs and they have always performed at or above expectations.

Corey from Mr. Electric did a fantastic job installing 2 pendant lights in our kitchen. He was very helpful explaining the process and left the work site of our kitchen very clean. We will use this company again if we ever have another need for an electrician.

I'm very satisfied with the service I received from this Mr. Electric company! Everyone from the person you schedule the appointment with to the people that actually come and do the work are friendly and professional. The work was done in a timely manner, and I felt like I was getting my money's worth. I will definitely use this company in the future and recommend to others!

I had Mr. Electric come out to install a new 20 amp circuit for an air conditioning unit being installed in my garage. I was very impressed! I received an email letting me know who the technician would be, complete with photograph and some background information. Robert Facio did an excellent job. He was professional and courteous and explained what he was going to do. He answered my MANY questions without hesitation or making me feel dumb. I was very impressed with my technician and Mr. Electric. I will surely use them again in the future!

A large thank you to Mr. Robert F[redacted] (Mr. Electric). I have called for and requested Mr. F[redacted] on other occasions and he has come through with flying colors each time. He is thorough, very knowledgeable, considerate and respectful. This time I also requested his expertise on some issues at my daughter's house. Again the service was excellent. Please, Mr. Electric keep Mr. F[redacted] as your employee. The world needs more technicians with his qualities. And, believe me, anytime I call I will be requesting this person.

Robert F. was fantastic. He was on time, presented a good appearance and accomplished outstanding work. When ever I need more electrical work done, I will ask for Robert.

Added surge potectors. Robert the tech called before coming, sent a profile of his experience and showed up on time. Job was completed with great care taken to do the job right. Answered all my questions. Very happy with the service.

Company contracted by [redacted] protection corporation to fix or replace my faulty attic fans.Showed up 1hour and 15 minutes late for a 7am appt. fans were unplugged because they sounded like a freight train and I was afraid they would catch on fire. He did not even plug them in to hear the problem. Told me he could do nothing and I should contact their sister company and they could replace the 2 effected fans for $580 each. Asked for his $60 payment and left. Asked for a receipt and he said it would be mailed in 7-10 days. This company is a joke. I called [redacted] and they need patriots report before they can correct their actions. This company did not want to do the work thru [redacted]. They thought "stupid women", let's get her $$$. This company is a joke and I will not tolerate it.Desired SettlementWant my $60 back or will have check stopped payment or will take to court.Business Response [redacted] of all, I apologize for the delay in response as this is a very busy time of the year. Mrs.[redacted] is a customer of[redacted] to whom we work directly for. We can only repair/replace items that are covered through the warranty policy individualized for each homeowner. [redacted] is aware that Patriot Electric no longer repairs or replaces attic exhaust fans because they are not willing to cover the cost to do so. We have advised them that we will only check and verify that the power is supplied and working properly to/from fans. However, they continue to send us workorders for such an occurence. We are aware of the inconvenience, however we DO offer to repair them, just not through [redacted]. Which is why our technician quoted Mrs.[redacted] to have them replaced. We find it extremely offensive that Mrs.[redacted] would think that we were in any way trying to take advantage of her because she was a woman. We treat all our customers the same regardless of gender. In fact, half our company is owned by a woman. We would love to help to resolve the situation and would offer a 25% discount to help Mrs.[redacted] get her attic fans back up and running. We are also REQUIRED to collect a service fee whether the item(s) are covered or not. Therefore, we can not return the $60 to the customer. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)No, I am not satisfied with their response. [redacted] sent another electrican to my home and he replaced 3 of the 4 fans because he said they did not work properly and could not be repaired. I asked him what he would charge if I had called him out and he replaced the 3 fans. He said $150/fan or $450. Patriot quoted me a price of $580/fan or $1,740. That is a difference of $1,290. Seriously? I don't know how this company gets any business. I have told [redacted] that they cannot send Patriot to my home again for an electrical issue.[redacted]Final Business Response

This company has left our pool with no working pumpWe hired this company to install our pool pump according to code, pull the permits and pass inspection. The first attempt failed, they had to come back and ground/bond the pool around the above ground pool and finish connecting the pump. They came back burned our new motor up and then wanted us to order them the new pump. They have not paid us for the pump, they will not connect the plumbing on the pump and now our pump is useless.Desired SettlementThey were suppose to install all the electrical on the pool, around the pool and to the house and have our pool in working order when they left. They have ask us to order the pump $300.00 plus reconnect the plumbing they had to take off to replace the pump, which we are getting a quote now. they will not attach the plumbing and finish the job. My husband dug the trenches for them around the pool which was 6 hours of our time with no compensation, so $300.00 for that and the plumbing cost to us when we know this.Business Response Contact Name and Title:[redacted] SecretaryContact Phone:[redacted]Contact Email:[redacted]@gmail.comSorry for the delay of response; the first notice was sent to the wrong address. Since the complaint we have completed the project. As per contract with the homeowner; they were responsible for all trenching. The homeowner traded the trenching for a time clock at no additional charge. We have sent the homeowner a refund for the expense of the pool pump along with our deepest apologies. We are not allowed by law to work on plumbing. Hopefully the customer is not still upset and will consider using us in the future. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)The one trench was in the contract, but not the other, they told us they knew all the codes and would be able to do the project for the price quoted. They did not know the codes and they had additional work and they were trying to get us to help with this additional work they did not know about. This was very time consuming for my husband and he did a better job than they did the whole job. The fact that they burned our brand new motor up and then wanted us to order the new motor was absolutely not acceptable. Their customer service is very poor. I would not use them again if they paid us to use them. They should have arranged the plumbing on their dollar, not ours, they ruined the pump!Final Business Response I did not just state our case. Since the initial complaint we have completed the job as well as reimbursed the customer for the pump. We would like to mention that through this entire process, we stuck with them and did not turn our backs. We installed the material they supplied regardless of the quality. The pump was burnt due to the fact it was trying to accomplish something it wasnt manufactured to do (as advised) also the trenching was selected to be done to lower cost. That was their decision NOT ours. The entire process was not ideal. The code regulations for the above ground pool was not something we ever dealt with and as a contractor you are at the mercy of the code department. We tried to communicate to Mr. before, during, and obviously after the job process . We are very sorry for the inconvenience and the complications that the customer went through. We hope they are able to enjoy their pool this coming season.

Product does not perform as technician stated.Called Mr. Electric of [redacted], TN on 9/10/2014 to fix outdoor floodlight. Technician came on same day and informed me that there was corrosion in existing floodlight sockets causing new bulbs to burn out quickly. He installed a new one that included a motion sensor and installed it in about 15 min. (he initially told me it would take 1 hr.). He set the floodlight to only come on when "motion" was detected in the driveway. He showed me the area of driveway the sensor would cover. The bill was $217. I discovered that it did not cover the area he described and called to have technician fix the problem. He came back on 9/25/2014 and spent 30 min. adjusting/testing the floodlight. He again told me it would detect motion in a wide area of driveway. Again, the motion sensor did not work as he stated. The flood light only comes on when my vehicle is right in front of garage (which is right under floodlight). I called the tech. directly on 9/26/2014 and informed him it still is not working as described and he said he would talk to his supervisor. I waited a couple of days and didn't get a call, so I called main office [redacted]) and told receptionist of the problem and I wanted a partial refund. I last called on 10/3/2014 and was told that the supervisor (David) would call me back, which he never did.Desired SettlementI would like a partial refund of $60.Business Response Our company responded to the service call for the floodlights. We found corrosion in the fixtures as stated by the homeowner and notified them that they needed to be replaced. They chose a new floodlight fixture that can be motion detected and our tech took time in explaining to the homeowner the area of coverage according to the manufacturer. When we returned on 9/25 the tech inspected and adjusted the floodlight to try satisfy the customer. He once again explained that the complete coverage area desired will not be reached but will work very efficiently. The homeowner even responded to the tech that she knew it wouldn't cover a certain area because of an obstruction (that couldn't be removed) Once we heard again from her the management had to be consulted because she was still not satisfied and wanted a partial refund. We issued her a FULL refund however, we DID return to collect the fixture. We supplied same day service, returned to ensure product was working correctly, and then had to refund the customer. Explanation was given in detail before installation. If the customer was not happy with the cost, it should have been discussed then.

Patriot Electric failed to deliver on their promise to perform timely repair to my house electric system.June 10, 2015Mr. ELECTRIC/ Patriot Electric[redacted] XXXXX To whom it may concernThe main electric circuit breaker at my house went bad on Saturday 05/30/2105.I had opened my claim with [redacted] on Sunday 05/31/15 Service Request#: XXXXXXXXXPatriot Electric sent a Technician on Monday afternoon 06/01/15, which verified that a 200 amp main breaker needs to be replaced. Initially [redacted] your Tech confirm that FA would pay to replace the MB, however few minutes later he said the repair would not be cover by FA. His explanation was that a surge protector that was previously installed was considered an "Alteration". As matter of fact he insinuated that a full panel replacement may be necessary at the cost of $1800.00. I had requested to speak to his boss. Before your tech left he demanded his $60.00 fee to be paid for which I wrote a check. [redacted] from Patriot electrical called me an hour latter to inform that [redacted] had approved the repair, and the required breaker was purchased due to arrive by Wednesday 06/03/2015. Please keep in mind that all this time my family and I are living without electrical power for the most essential parts of the house. On 06/03/15 I called Patriot for an updated, no answer, I was unable to leave a message since answering machine was full. I sent an email requesting the tracking number an update. Again I called 0n 06/04/15 no one answered, no call back. On 06/04/15 after researching I found the Main Breaker part number and ordered it from [redacted] web for a next day deliver. The said part was installed on 06/05/2015 Desired SettlementDespite all the aggravation we endure without power and the delay caused by your company I am willing to settle this problem if I get the $60 fee return back in form of check or money order.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]/SecretaryContact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXXContact Email: [redacted]We apologize for the inconvenience that the customer had to endure. Its never easy to go without power for any length of time. Our goal is always to help the customer with his/her situation. We are not a company that is known for negligence and we take pride in how we handle each and every customer and situation. We are also NOT responsible for what their warranty company will or will not cover. Our technician and our office was simply relaying information given to us by [redacted]. When the call was initially phoned into the warranty company, the information was given and the claim was accepted. Later, the warranty phoned us back for more details and determined that it had been a "modification" and therefore was NOT covered. [redacted] had informed us that they would be contacting the homeowner to tell them of the case denial, which is normal protocol, therefore we did not have to. The technician at the time of service was not trying to "insinuate" that unnecessary work may be possible. He is a licensed professional and knows that damage due to power surges can absolutely require one to replace their entire panel. We are also required to collect a service fee upon diagnosis and/or service. So "demanding a service fee" is certainly not what we practice. However, in order to solve the issue, we would be happy to return the customers service fee as requested and hope that he does not hold any ill feelings toward our company. As stated before, we want to help not cause aggravation or inconvenience.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)Patriot Electric recognized my legitimate complaint. I will accept their apology and the service refund. I will not hold "any ill feelings" against this company.I want to thank the Revdex.com for freely mediated this issue and its outcome.Sincerely,[redacted]

This company was hired to repair/replace 4 outside wall lights to our multi-purpose church building. The Electrician purchased 4 kits, which included ballast, bulbs and starter for the wall lights at a cost of $310 per kit. Electrician stated the kits would be warranted a life time. After 1 month of the replacement, one of the lights stop working. Then 3 to 6 months later other 3 lights stopped working. Mr. Electric was contacted to correct the problem, but they have only quoted additional money to replace the 4 lights. This company has not provided quality service, as stated to our organization.Product_Or_Service: Replace 4 Outside Wall LightsOrder_Number: XXXXXAccount_Number: XXXXXXXXXXXXDesired SettlementMr. Electric refund at least half of the monies paid, since we had to hired someone else to repair/replace these 4 outside wall lights. $620.00Business Response December 9, 2O1STo: Revdex.comRe: Case # [redacted]Dear Sir or Madam, the information that you have received is partially correct. Mr. Electric did service this correct. However, upon arrival to install the repair kits our technician informed the customer that the gaskets on the existing fixtures were bad and that all the fixtures would need to be replaced to avoid water damage to the lights. The customer asked us to install the repair kits anyways. The technician explained to the customer that he could silicone the fixtures, but that this was no substitute for the factory seals and the lights would not be warrantied against water damage. As stated, the ballast kits do have a lifetime warranty. However, the warranty does not cover water damage due to improper seals. We returned to the customer when the first fixture quit working, removed that ballast kit, returned it to the manufacturer. The manufacture stated that due to the being rusty and wet it is not covered under the warranty. Mr. Electric advised the customer again that the kits were not warrantied due to the water damage. We then offered the customer the opportunity to purchase new fixture and we would install them free of any labor charges. We then received this letter 4 moths later. Mr. Electric would offer the customer $300 refund.Thank you.

Mauricio O[redacted] of Mr. Electric installed three ceiling fans and a chandelier for me and they look great! Mauricio was professional, kind and thorough. He picked everything up and left my condo spotless. Everything is working perfectly!

Prompt, professional, and productive! Robert really knows his stuff. He not only fixed all of our known problems, but found hazards that the previous home owner had created. He was very friendly and patient with all of our questions and worked diligently during his time here. When we need an electrician in the future, we will be sure to call Robert and Ronald, who assisted him on his second day here.

Mauricio [redacted] came to my house twice to complete the work I requested on a new water heater and was very pleased with his workmanship and friendliness . I would definitely use this guys again
