Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
I was not accepting any membership. I expected a free trial which I never received. I was charged way too much money -- then additional charges of $for absolutely nothing. I did not fill in a profile -- I did not accept this membership -- and it was never made clear that anything was non-refundable. If it were I would have declined immediatelyI not only had called in good faith only days after this initial charging call -- but have not opened one single email nor filled out any profiles. I am systematically deleting any emails that come from NAPW without opening them. Also, I have the original membership pack -- unopened! And I will return it to the sender unopened. I am still expecting the correct fair business response of a full refund. Anything less is simply not ethical or a good business practice -- and I'm afraid I cannot support that - nor can I ever recommend this organization to anyone.Thank you.

We will submit the check request as indicated

We are conducting an investigation into these claimsOnce all material has been reviewed, we will respond in detail

Per *** ***'s request, a full refund for this membership was issued 3/*/ Generally a refund reflects on the credit card account within 2-business days, pursuant to the policies of the credit card issuerThe membership was cancelled and refunded in full on 3/*/

Our initial investigation of this claim indicates that we received one call from *** ***, on December *, 2015, after her membership renewedShe authorized the renewal during her enrollment interviewWe sent her a reminder as a courtesy at the end of October via ** *** Service. We did
speak to *** *** on December *, 2015, explained why her card was charged and issued a partial refund. We are undergoing further reviews of all correspondence between NAPW and *** *** and if her claim meets the criteria for a complete refund, it will be issuedIf not we will advise her of the outcome within ten business days

Charged for renewal without consent Luckily caught charge before processing Discussion with representative from NAPW resulted in argument to remove me from membership as this association provides no value Will now need to cancel card as this association seems to charge with no authorization from the consumer

After signing up for a free membership from an advertisement on ***, I received a phone call from NAPWThey asked for information about me and then proceeded to tell me about the Elite membership level for over $After refusing, I was offered a preferred membership in the $areaThis continued until I was offered a trial membership for $This was a high pressure sales callShe worked hard to keep me on the line and at each refusal insisted that this was a limited time opportunityTheir benefits do not compare to other professional organizations and I have never experienced this type of sales tactic from anotherPlease beware and I don't recommend the NAPW

complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved
Sincerely,

While we regret that *** *** is not satisfied with our reply; we must maintain that the information was made clear to her and that she misunderstood. The issue about the plaque was not even brought up until May As we explained in our initial reply - the resources were there for *** *** to use, we sent regular emails to her, all of which have contact information that she could have used to request assistance with her membershipHer recollection of events differs dramatically from what the recorded calls and correspondence demonstrate and thus does not justify a full refund so long after joining the organizationAgain, we invite her and the Revdex.com to contact us to review the recording of the interview and subsequent conversations which took place regarding her request to not renew her membership

Your credit card was refunded for $on 6/*/

NAPW offers educational resources and networking networking opportunities to members across the United StatesMembers are able to promote themselves, attend local chapter meetings, network online through NAPW's proprietary site, and complete educational seminars and certification programs
designed to help them advance in their chosen field.
*** *** originally requested membership information from NAPW in early 2008, and provided her phone number and email address at that timeShe has received periodic email newsletters and offers since that timeIn February 2014, *** *** again filled out a prepaid postal reply card requesting information about NAPW membershipAt this point, she was offered membership by an NAPW membership coordinator and declinedAt *** ***'s request, she will not receive further information or contact initiated by NAPW

[Your Answer Here]
I am not questioning the benefits that NAPW offers to its membersBut I do not wish to be a memberThere was no notice to my email *** that my account was renewing and, in fact, the credit card that I authorized them to use a year ago was expired Once the charge appeared on my new credit card (not sure how they did that, but wow) I promptly notified the company (as they recognize, above) that I did not wish to renewRather then honoring my wishes, they gave me a hard sell (like the one above) and refused a refundThen, after minutes of my trying to reason and their and hard-selling, they agreed to a 50% refundThen, after more minutes of my trying to reason and their hard-selling they authorized a $refund but I'm still paying $for a membership that I expressly do not want. They used threatening language that if I pursued with the Revdex.com or my credit card company they would go back and charge me the full $againThat is not happening, they are blocked now with ***What I wish from the Revdex.com:
• Full credit of the remaining $membership fee for I did not use any of their benefits, I notified them promptly via email and phone call that I did not wish to renewThis should not be so difficult• I am not sure what the laws are for a company like this, but it should not be this difficult to cancel a membershipThere's no "cancel" option on their web siteInstead, you have to call and go through a hard sell and, even as hard as I pushed, I was not able to get a full refundI am thinking of others, here - clearly they are bilking consumers with their aggressive auto-renew and hard to cancel policies•Would love the Revdex.com to call as a consumer and experience their "customer service" as a consumer trying to cancel a membership.
Thank you

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
NAPW stated the extension of the 6-month membership that I purchased was a courtesy, but to whom, because I didn't ask or request this service. NAPW also stated 9/**/16, over the phone that I had to give authorization to extend the membership, which I DID NOT! NAPW also states that all correspondence comes through email, but I never received an email asking for my permission to extend the membershipI paid for 6-months ONLY! NAPW states that my membership is cancelled, but I received an email today 9/**/16, stating that they have issued a credit to my account, automatic membership renewal is deactivated and that my membership will expire in (I have attached a copy of that email. In addition, I never received recognition in a publication newsletter that NAPW stated I be a part of for joining. I concluded it was a sales ploy, but it was still a renege on NAPWOn 9/**/@ 3:EST, I received a call from, I believe her name was Marie or Mary, that called me after I submitted the Revdex.com claim, stating that her manager had received the claim and that they are going to refute itI stated to her that it was in the hands of the Revdex.com and there was no reason for us to communicate furtherShe continued talking, but I cut her off and told her there was no reason for us to continue the conversation because all that was being said was that the claim was being refuted

I have personally spoken with the Customer Service manager and brought this matter to her attention? She has pulled recordings
and other history related to this member's account, for re-training with the applicable agents.? NAPW has fully refunded this member? The credit should appear on the member's statement within business days or less, depending on the card-issuing bank's practices.? I trust this matter is now closed? If this member has any questions or remaining issues, they are welcome to contact me anytime at ***CHRIS W*** | EVP & SecretaryProfessional Diversity Network, Inc.New York - Chicago* * ***
