I received a notice in the mail that if I called this toll free number I would be entered into a drawing Sounded simple enough, but then I was suddenly purchasing a stack of magazines I didn't want I agreed to one magazine, and it snowballed The salespeople are very good at what they do, and fast It took me a long time to get the list of magazines whittled down to three, and I am still getting magazines that I did not ask for I am also paying a lot more for these three magazines that I would if I purchased them from someone else I am not happy with this company I have found it difficult to cancel my magazines -- there always seems to be some excuse They train their people very well to confuse the customer This is why I refuse to work in sales

NRE has been calling me to collect what they say I owe themMy credit card was stolen, so I am trying to get my affairs in orderMrSam *** from NRE says he's been calling me for weeks about my billI have emailed his company 10-times to explain my predicament to themWhen he called me today he spoke to me first name only; I don't believe business is done that way
Secondly, his tone was condescending towards me, and I felt that whatever I tried to work out with this individual would not get doneT be truthful, I don"t know if *** is his real nameI explained to him that once my credit card situation was straightened out, I would pay all of my billsHis company is not the only oneThey have a website with an email form, that he tells me is not monitored
I felt totally disrespected by this Sam *** in finance deptI am a year old college graduate with two degrees, who has coached high school football for years, taught for the same amount of yearsI kno

Several months ago, I was called and was misled into renewing my subscription with this company I have tried repeatedly to cancel, however I cannot call during the day, which seems to be the only time they actually respond to calls When I had a collection agent contact me (due to credit card issues), I was not informed how my payments would go up until after I was charged I was also mysteriously charged extra, which I was also never informed of

I have been trying for a year to end my magazine subscription and all I have gotten is threats to send me to collectors and them hanging up on me

I tried twice to cancel 100's of magazines coming to my home and now the credit card is maxed and they have the nerve to charge ridiculous late fees

I canceled this subscription prior to the renewal date (in September or October)However, I was charged over $back in November even though I canceled in writing prior to that dateI have called to complain but I feel like I am being accused of being at faultI am elderly and fell like I am being targeted for my ageI want my refund immediately! I canceled!

The Company will not allow me to cancel the magazine subscription$39.00, monthly for three yearsCan not afford as a senior citizen
I have never heard of a company in America that refuses a cancellation of productsAs a senior citizen I can not afford $monthly for magazines for yearsI desire to cancel the subscriptions and was refused and threatened to be turned over to a collection agencyAs a retired Deputy Sherriff I can only say this is a scam on me and possibly othersIt is my hope that the subscriptions will be cancelled immediatelyI will most likely be contacted by a collection agency and have my credit rating down gradedMy rating is excellent nowThe question is, Is this the proper way to conduct business and threaten customers concerning the account which they choose to close? I need help and you folks are certainly needed in this regard$monthly is $dollars yearly and as a senior citizen with health issues it is impossible to meet bothThis

I am an elderly woman who is on a fixed income I initially ordered magazines from this company and then decided to cancel my subscription upon renewal I notified the rep when they called that I was not renewing Since then it has been a fight to cancel the service with the company and they also continue to bill for a renewal that I refused My credit card company reversed the charges on a fraud complaint and now this company has turned me over to collections I can never get a straight answer from any rep when I call the company I no longer want any magazines from them and do not want them to contact me any longer I am tired of their threats

Travis *** called me days ago, on October 10th 2016, claiming that my bill was passed dueHe aggressively said that he ran my card more than once, and that it was declining him and he kept asking me if this will be Visa or Mastercard, and I asked him why they were giving me more magazines than I subscribed forHe denied that it wasn't him sending more than what I subscribed for and then he asked me Visa or MastercardI said I seem to have a problem of this company giving me more magazines than I subscribed for, then he told me again that it was not his companyHe asked me again, Visa or MastercardI had asked Travis *** for a mailing address and he told me that everything was automated and that there was no mailling addressI asked him again, and he gave me half of a mailing address and he gave me 2001-BloomingtonI had asked him if all of this was being recorded, and he said yesI told him you are filling my mailbox full of magazines and that I am not getting all

I received a call by phone to purchase magazines Due to my age, I did not understand that the cost would be over $nor did I understand what I was getting for my money I called and tried to cancel the services, but they said I could not cancel and I was stuck with paying this enormous amount of money that I don't have I am on a fixed income and cannot afford to pay

I'm writing on behalf of my momThey contacted her about these subscriptions and she did not understand how the process worksShe is elderly and taking care of my father who has cancer It is a very stressful situationI make sure all the bills are taken care of and anything to do with their finances When the first charge of showed up on the credit card, she said she bought some magazinesShe didnt not realize it would be taken out for monthsThey are on a fixed income and with my dad being sick it has put a strain on them I told her to contact them and cancel but they refused and gave them my name as a contact person So I called them and Kim explain the situation and I explained mine I asked her to cancel and stop sending magazinesShe said they could cut the payments in half for the next nine monthsThere were three magazines with a total of paid so farI said no

This company convinced my father to purchase a subscription to a couple magazines The duration and price of this subscription were misrepresented by the company Both him and myself(PoA) have tried multiple times to cancel the subscriptions, but they continue to claim that we order more and more They are currently taking over $200/ month from his account for magazines that he never wanted We have canceled the credit card, and were threatened with a lawsuit, so my father panicked and gave him his new card number Because of this, they are continuing to take money from his account with no end in sight

I have been trying to cancel my subscription for several months nowThey wI'll not cancelTheir customer service representatives are very rude and ignorantI explained that my financial situation has changed and I can no longer afford the magazinesYet they continously to take money out of my account every monthI need to cancel this ASAP...How?

I have lupus and my health has gotten worseI am not working at the time due to my illnessI am trying to get disabilityI called and requested that services be cancelledI don't want if I get approved for disability to use what little income I have on magazinesThe 1st person I spoke with was no helpI did speak with another manager who offered to put payments on hold until august on one account and july for the otherat this time I did not realize that I have been charged twice a month A rep called in April prior to my health getting worst asking about extending my orderYes I agreed most companies extend your payments not give you accounts and charge you monthly paymentsthis company is a rip offseems like no matter what you cant get out of the contractits easier to end a cell phone contract than with themI cant afford this and feel that I shouldn't have to continue paying for something that I don't need especially with being ill and having hard financial tim

when I was first contacted by them I thought I was dealing with Publishers Clearing Housewhen they were setting up the transaction they just gave the monthly paymentsthey did not give me time to put together the tootle amount of what it was going to cost me I tried to fin the phone number and did not now how to get a hold of them to cancel the order After there mouths they call me to get all of the money for the magazinehe was pushing hard to got the money I gave him another card to tryI was still trying to cancel the orderI don't have that amount of money to pay that amount out for magazinesI am just beardly able to pay my billsI have tried to explain the problem to them with no prevail I have change my create cards numbers , but they say that there going to come after me and my bank account and collationsAll I wont to do is cancel this accountI do think that they miss represented them self form the beginningThey did not let me now how much this was going to

This business not only harassed me about buying a magazine that I did not wantI then was told that I do not have to buy the amount of magazines and agreed to have months of of magazines sent to me at a price of $ a month and said so on a recorded lineAfter said three months was contacted by said company that I need to buy more magazinesThen told said company I do not want to but can not back out of a contract that I agreed to by said companyWhen I told said company I do not want the magazine anymore, they continued to call and send more magazinesI told said company not to call or send me the magazines, they reported me to a debt collection agency wanting me to pay for 2year subscription of magazinesThis is a scam that people should avoid by reporting this magazine company to the authoritiesAs a person who purchases magazines you should have the option to say how many issues of a magazine you want and how long you want to receive that magazine
