Customer signed a loan agreement on 2/11/2020 to borrow $500.00 from National Small Loan. Theagreement clearly reflects the total payoff, total finance charge, and the annual percentage rate. Customer contacted NSL on 5/1/2020 asking “how the loan works”. An NSL agent advised Customer ofthe approximate interest rate, the length of the loan, and the minimum payments. The agent alsoadvised Customer that he has the option to pay it off at any time. Customer added that he was “billed” athird time so he thought the loan was paid off, and then requested a payoff quote for the loan. Thepayoff quote was provided to Customer later that day via e-mail after attempts to reach Customer byphone resulted in a recording that stated that the number has been changed or disconnected. Customer contacted NSL again on 5/12/2020 and advised that he had requested a payoff quote “lastmonth” and never received it. The NSL agent advised Customer that the payoff quote was provided tohim via e-mail. Customer then stated he will never to business with NSL again, before asking for a payoffquote. Customer was provided with a quote of $555.86 for 5/13/2020. NSL has also received an internal complaint on this account, but received this Revdex.com complaint beforemanagement was able to complete its review of the account. There does not appear to be anyunanswered, repeated requests for payoff quotes as Customer has claimed. Customer has paid a totalof $838.80 on this loan. NSL is willing to waive the remaining balance on Customer’s account and closeit.

I have had nothing but a problem with Small National Loan. They will not take the monies out and when they try to do so, they are reversing it back. How dam stupid can they be. My bank is ready to indict this National Small loan company, being they are playing around with our account and not taking their monies. This has been going on for 3 weeks already, and I am at my wits end with this corrupted scam company that is taking way over the 30 percent allowed by NJ law. They are taking 140 percent, and I have also contacted our NJ Attorney General on this matter. National Small Loan should be shut down and prosecuted to the fullest extend of the law. A 500.00 loan would of been over 1,000 but they want $523.87 which they are playing games and not taking it on a timely manner. They are blaming our bank. and the bank is blaming them for constantly reversing it back to us instead of to them.

Took out a small loan for $500 the end of February have so far have paid $773 they cannot give me a payoff quote and cannot provide the loan documents that I signed that supposedly said 32 payments of $73 that’s eight months to repay a $500 loan I would’ve never signed those I asked them to stop taking ACH payments out of my bank account Louis the fact they cannot provide me with the details in the signed documents nor can they provide me with a payoff quote. I feel as though I have been deceived and under the current working conditions due to COVID-19 I cannot repay this loan until October. Desperate or not I would never take out a loan for such a small amount with these terms. The following excerpt is from the email I received from *** after my loan was approved, it is very misleading.
“ To make it a little easier to understand, our APR translates roughly to 30% per $100 borrowed every two weeks. That ends up being 60% per month.
So, if you borrow $500, for example, and pay off on your first installment date (usually within two weeks), you would be paying somewhere in the ballpark of $650 total. That total includes your principal (the $500 you borrowed and $150 in interest). This amount could be slightly higher or lower depending on the length of your loan. If you are a monthly paid customer, your total payoff would be in the area of $800.
The example above is specific to paying off the loan on the first installment. This is certainly the least expensive option.

Please help me settle this. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

I submitted for an application and went to sleep. This company blew up my phone all day while I was sleeping (i work third shift). They called me every hour and sent me around 15 emails. I woke up to another phone call, and 6 messages on my voicemail. When I finally talked to someone to tell them I was not interested in a loan, only information on a loan, the lady on the phone was extremely rude with me. After I got off the phone, I received an email stating that I had been denied approval for a loan. This company is extremely rude and unprofessional. Don't get involved! I can only imagine how awful they are to people that actually have loans with them already.

April 24 2020 I applied on line from a advertisement mailer I recieved , with all going on I was seeking financial help, I filled out the form with the pre approved code *** I filled out all of my personal information driver license, social security, banking info

Because NSL received no response to the request for identifying information that would be used toverify the sender’s identity, NSL did not respond to the online contact form communication with anadverse action e-mail.

Recipients of NSL’s mailers are preapproved, but there is a provision that notifies applicants thatapplicants must still meet underwriting criteria. Customer failed to meet the underwriting criteria. Since this “lead” was seen but not “purchased,” Customer should have been sent a general actionletter as part of LDF’s monthly Blue Gorilla services.

Customer’s information has not been entered into NSL’s loan management system.

Customer was notified that she must still meet underwriting criteria, and she did not meet that criteria.

Her applications were denied, and should have been sent adverse action letters by LDF. If Customer hasany additional issues, she can contact NSL, but she has to verify her identity before NSL releases anyinformation regarding the application.

I have been trying to pay off my loan for over three weeks now. Their website is completely non functioning. I have had over 14 telephone calls with someone stating they would have someone call me back and this never happens. I was told on April 20th 2020 by *** that they would process the payment and this still hasn’t happened. This loan is supposed to be automatically withdrawn from my account and they have failed to do that as well. I have received ZERO assistance and my loan is now getting late fees and interest is racking up at a very alarming rate. I find it funny that since I have been trying to pay the loan off nothing seems to allow me to do that. They are trying to rack up interest and keep me from paying my loan off. I need this to be taken care of. I

I call and spoke with a representative on 04/16/20 the day the loan was put in my account and they told me that the loan will be remove and they will take the $500 dollar back, On 4/22/20 I made an attempt to contact National small loan and left message for someone to contact me regarding the matter, told them that I was reporting them to the Revdex.com and the Fraud department. I Called and texted but could not get a live person to call me back about paying off my loan. Very disappointed.

I took out a small loan with this company for $600 I was aware of the high interest. 4 payments of $175 and today another payment of $175 has been taken out of my account by them. After noticing this I wanted to go back and reread the agreement. I am not able to log in to my account online. When I enter my email it says no account found. So responded to a email they sent and I let them know I could not log in

I get a reply stating someone would reach out to me. I needed answers so I call. Once im connected to a agent I’m told they can not provide any info about my account and management will contact me...like really?? So I missed a called and had a voice mail asking me to call back so I call back and the agent tells me again they can not give me any info on my account. This company is a scam and they will continue to collect payment without giving you any information. I will have to close my bank account to stop
Them. By the way I never heard from management. Do not apply with this fraud business!!!!!!!!!

Although not required to do so, as a courtesy NSL is willing to waive the remaining balance onCustomer’s account and close the account.

I am unable to get a pay-off amount for the loan. I wanted a payoff date as of April 1, and cannot get one. This is a against the truth in lending law. I was put off on several occasions. I was told that the loan department would get in touch with me and have not as of yet. I am unaware of the balance of the loan and what the payoff price. They are neglecting me because the interest rate keeps piling up at an exorbitant amount. I cannot speak to anyone who can tell me this or get into my account. I always get rejected out of it. You can not speak directly to anyone. They always have to call you back on a private number. I have attempted to reach by email to no avail.

I have been trying to contact this company for over a week requesting a payoff. Each time, they either hang up or say they'll call back or send me an email with a payoff for a future date of the loan. The interest very high. Therefore, I wanted to pay the loan off in full prior to the first due date. I am still waiting on a payoff. I have been requesting it for over a week. The agents aren't very helpful either.

Unfortunately, my complaint mirrors the one received by the Revdex.com on 3/16/2020. I applied for a loan on 3/24/2020. Within 20 mins to a half an hour, received four emails. The first email was confirming receipt of the application. The second email was from *** B explaining the fees. The third email was from *** B clearly titled "National Small Loans-Please sign loan agreement for loan finalization." That email included a link to review the documents and provide an e-signature. The link didn't work. So, I copied it into my browser. There was nothing listed at the link. No loan info, no docs, etc. I called NSL and spoke with *** B. I was telling her about the missing info at the link provided. She proceeded to tell me the loan was approved for $500 and within a few seconds I received the fourth email confirming the loan approval. I told her that could not be since I never provided an e-signature nor the amount was nowhere near the amount range I requested. *** B explained that when I hit the two approval boxes when completing the form, that was when I provided my e-signature. Those boxes were to review and accept the privacy notice, policy regarding e-signatures, policy regarding text messages, contact, etc. AT NO POINT DID I AGREE TO THIS LOAN PRIOR TO REVIEWING THE DOCUMENTS.*** I told *** B to cancel the application/approval. She stated she did and said I would receive an email confirming the cancellation. I clearly said, this needed to be taken care of immediately. The call ended. Shortly after the call, I saw in one of the emails the following-
"Should you no longer wish to receive these funds, you must let us know in writing within 24 business hours of approval (1 business day), otherwise you will be financially responsible for the balance." I emailed a request to cancel the approval as a response to the approval email initially received. This was sent within the hour after speaking with *** B. I did receive the email confirmation regarding the cancellation the next morning. However, I also saw the deposit into my bank account. I immediately called requesting a supervisor. I received a return call from ***. I told her the situation and she said the cancellation was requested but due to the loan already being approved, it was too late to catch it. I reminded her that I never e-signed the loan, therefore never provided approval for the loan. I told her I did not have the loan number, nor reviewed any document, etc. She provided the loan number and stated the amount $500 would be reversed with no extra fees within 3 days. If the amount was not there, I would be fully responsible for the loan. I asked again for the funds to be reversed immediately, as it didn't take 3 days for them to credit the funds into my account. She said she would reach out to a manager and have them address the issue quickly. Needless to say, I am still waiting for this amount to be reversed from my bank account. I called again on 3/26/2020 and left a message with a rep. Who stated she would forward the request to a manager. I'm still wait ing to hear from them. Due to the fact there are 92 complaints on this website, something really needs to happen to this business. Am I supposed to sit around waiting for this company to over charge me like they did the gentleman from the 3/16/2020 complaint? Evidently, this is how their place of business operates. PLEASE HELP!!

I would see if I had not paid back the $600 that I borrowed. However, I did pay back the $600 plus and extra $279 and some change for a total of $879. Yet, the company is asking for an extra $500 plus dollars. I need my account to be considered settled and closed because these are uncertain times, my hands are tied and I do not have the extra $500 plus dollars to give. Like I said, I did payback the money I borrowed from this company.]

Regards,

***n

I applied for a loan with this company, but never signed an agreement. I went with a different company instead. They sent an email saying they needed my signature. I did not even open that email as it went to my spam folder. Then I received an email that my loan was approved. This also went to my spam folder so I did not see the email. Then I received a $600 deposit in my bank account. I have been trying to contact them to return the money, but they will not close the account without collecting 841% interest! I refuse to pay for something I did not agree to. I finally got them to send me a copy of the contract. It has my name typed on it and an IP address that is from another state. They will not call me back despite several calls and emails to them. They have already deducted $175.91 from my account and now say I owe them over $700 dollars on a $600 loan! It has only been 18 days and they say I owe over $275 interest on a $600 loan that I never agreed to in the first place!!

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I have, however, not been able to contact the correct department at the business to authorize the payment and settle this matter. When I call the previous number I had, 877-807-4827, I am told my account is under manager control and they can not give me any other information or take a payment. When I call the number provided in the business's response, 1-844-388-0500, I was transferred to the first number with the same result. Then I called again and was told an email would be sent to the manager of National Small Loan. The manager emailed back that my account was being handled by "legal" but I don't have any contact information for that department. Please help me get this matter finalized.
