In short I took out a short term loan. Paid them on time and called to pay the full amount but it it absolutely impossible to get through to anyone. Just a callback service. So I went online to arrange payment. Said to call, and I knew how that was. So I texted them my request since they had texted acreminder of my payment dateNational Small Loan: Payment reminder! Your payment is due 10/31/2018. Questions? Reply or call *** for assistance. For help reply HELP So I asked to pay the full amount which he told me as of 10/31 was 497 and some change. I told them to take this. He said I had a scheduled payment so I said to deduct that from the total and make sure the balance was paid in full by 10/31. So guess what they did. Debited the scheduled payment a day early on 10/30 and then took the 497 as well. I texted to ask them to correct their mistake and they flat out lied and said that the payment had been due on 10/30 so I had to pay another installment fee. How can that be legal. I sent them the automated reminder that clearly had the date of 10/31 on it and asked them to correct and refund my $158. Guess what ; crickets. This company have fleeced me and never sent me a loan schedule only a list of payment dates so you can never see how much they are charging. BEWARE.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The quote I received was for one single payment. It was never made clear that you would take the 158 as well as the payoff amount because you say that the money was not cleared! The payment was made. This company are thieves. It is impossible to speak to anyone because they do. Or answer their phones. I pity a reminder who feels they must do business with them. I will make it my mission to ensure that nobody else ever does. I’m pretty sure what they did was illegal. Advising me they were debiting my account for a single payoff amount and then charging me twice. It is not my fault that their clearing system takes longer than any other bank in the world. But we all know this is a lie and a scam to try to justify their fraud. I am disgusted. Regards

I have called so many times just to pay them off, I keep getting a receptionist who can not help me pay off anything all they do is take your name, your phone and then no one calls you back.
On top of that they take a sum of not only what I am suppose to be paying but they charge extra even though I pay on time since they just take the money from my bank. This is very frustrating and and I will not be using them again.
I take this as they do not want my money and are avoiding it all together, that this is a predator loan company.

Due to very hard times, my only option financially was to obtain a small loan from this company. I was approved for $500. It was all done over the phone. The very nice lady that I spoke with while doing the application was very helpful. I noticed before I signed the agreement, that the loan was going to cost me well over $1,000 if paid in monthly payments. Each payment to total $279 a month for several months. I made sure to ask the lady on the phone if I paid off the loan in full within two weeks, how much the loan would cost me in total. She advised me that the total cost would be $650. I felt that I could afford this amount and that it was fair. I signed the agreement. 2 weeks later, upon receiving my paycheck, I called phone company to settle our debt. I was then advised that my total payoff would be $770. This is not what I agreed to nor do I feel this is fair. I do not have $770 to pay. I am very upset by this. I will never use this company again and I don't think anyone else should either. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If I could give this 0 stars I would! Completely unprofessional and the representative hung up on me! Initially when I asked for the loan I spent a good 30 minutes to 45 minutes on the phone working out the math and installments. The girl told me one thing and now when I go to pay it off it's $100 more! And the rep wouldn't even answer my questions. She would just continuously seek me did I want to pay it now or installments. Never will I use this company again! I hope nobody else uses them as well!

I was in need for quick cash to fix my car. I borrowed $500.00 from these people and got the money deposited in my account on 7/26/2018. On 8/1 they took $158.09 from that account. And on 8/15, they took the same amount again. And again on 9/4 and again on 9/17.
I figured this would do it, paying $132.36 interest for 6 days. But, they just took another 158.09 on 10/01.
When I called, they said they had me set up to pay on an eight month plan, which means I am supposed to pay them another 7 times?!? Each time $158.09!
This is usury. Isn't there a law about that?
Could you let me know? And let everyone else know to never do business with this company!!

907% INTEREST RATES!!!?

My complaint is against nsational small loan. I borrowed $400 and was charged $126 every pay period until the loan plus interest was paid off. I never once missed a payment or complained to the company about the interest rates. I called in this past Sunday (of course noone answered and I left a voicemail.) Someone called me back the same day, so kudos for that part.

I talked to the woman and instead of taking out the normal $126 on the 20th, I told her to take out the payoff amount which was $374 and some change. I asked her if that was all that was needed to payoff the loan she said yes.

Next morning national small loan still took $126. I said okay they made a mistake. Next day, they took the additional payoff amount of $372 and some change charging me over $500, puting me in a financial hardships.

I called to try and get the $126 back to no prevail. The customer services rep was a little rude and said I should've told the person not to take the $126, which I was under the impression I wouldn't have to pay an installment on top of the payoff. That makes absolutely no sense! Who in their right mind would want to pay all that money!!?

I just want the $126 back in my account so I can move on with my life! National, you got more that enough money out of me for a $400 loan. Also, I was NEVER sent a copy of my contract even though I requested it over the phone and through email! Makes me feel like this company is not legitimate. I would have done another loan with them but the customer service is completely ridiculous. I couldn't even speak to a supervisor because I had to send an email to a generic email address first. I don't see how they expect anyonce to do business with them when they are constantly lying and mistreating their existing customers. Please national refund my money of $126 that's all I'm asking .

The customer states that she asked the Company to cancel that payment during a call on Sunday,August 19. The Company had previously informed the customer that the deadline to submit amodification to a scheduled payment was 2:00 PM EST on the business day before the scheduled payment. Thus, to change the payment scheduled for August 20, the customer needed to contact the Company byFriday, August 17. National Small loans takes money out of my bank account whenever they like. I agreed to pay them on the 15th of each month. But they will take money the the 27th of the money and 2 weeks later take more money. My agreement is once a month. They will NOT return my calls and emails and have tried to contact them repeatedly . I have told my bank to stop them from entering my account.

I borrowed $500 from this company, during hard times, to have grocery money for my daughter and myself. After calculating the payments, total of 16, I realized I would be paying back 465% if the loan amount. The interest alone, is over 3 times the amount borrowed. Conveniently, I never received a copy of my loan agreement. Taking advantage of good people, that fall on hard times, is despicable. These companies shouldn’t be allowed to stay in business. They have a very low rating, what does it take to get them shut down?

I was told one thing over the phone that my payments would be about 60.00 a payday and a low interest rate. What I got was a very high interest rate and 158.00 a payday. I am waiting for a call back now to pay them off, but no call yet.

Customer Response • Jul 06, 2018

They took 3 hours to call me back and said the payment would be take out they next day. This never happened. I had to call them a second time and I still had to leave a message & no one called back. I told them I would seek legal advice if they did not take out the pay off payment immediately and that I had complained to the Revdex.com. They finally took out the payment after add almost 20.00 more interest . This company is very shady.

I was never provided a copy of the loan agreement. On several occasions I have called multiple times trying to get a copy of said agreement, as well as inquiring about my balance and how many payments I had left. I have yet to receive a copy of the loan agreement and have been told someone would get back to me. As for every call inquiring on the balance and number of Payments left, I have yet to get a definitive answer on my balance and the standard response for payments left seems to be five (5). I have received this response Everytime I have made this inquiry. I received this response in February, in April, and in May when I called inquiring as to why payments were still being drafted from my account. The original agreement, which was processed online and a copy never provided, was for weekly payments of $73.00 for 6 months. In February, I called in an attempt to pay off the loan and was told someone would get back with me. No one did. After repeated attempts to retrieve copies of the agreement that were never received, multiple overdrafts to my account when having called to change payment dates, ignored attempts to pay off loan, as well as not being able to obtain accurate information regarding my account, I stopped payment on this account on May 11, 2018.

Today was the first attempt the company has made to reach out to me regarding non-payment on this account. It was done via an unprofessional text message and an email threatening collection.

I have made 27 payments totalling $1,971.00. $500.00 towards the original principal of the loan and an additional $1,471.00 in interest fees. That is a 932+% APR compounding monthly. At this point, due to the lack of professionalism, inability to provide documentation, lack of communication, and excessive amount of interest already paid, I feel this account should be considered satisfactorily closel

I can't even believe this company is able to operate. I tried to settle my loan with this company and I received the most uncivil email ever. An email sent by the company representative stated that I did not have to agree to the loan and I need to live within my means and if I don't pay back the loan and all the accumulated fees then I am stealing and the company will take me to jail. I just couldn't believe that someone from the company would even send an email out like that. Is that standard practice for their loan company?

My fiancée and I applied for a loan through this company before realizing that they shouldn’t be lending to people living in New York State. They ended up giving us a loan of $500 after we had only asked for a loan of $200. They charge us payments of $146.00 every two weeks and we are supposed to make 16 payments in total. Not only is that an exaggerate amount of money, but I don’t understand how they were even able to make the transaction of $500 when their website clearly states that they cannot lend to people living in New York State. Our bank is located in New York and is under my fiancées name (which she is a full blow resident and I am a new resident). They have overdrawn our account on multiple occasions and have given us no options as far as trying to reevaluate the payments that we make. They keep walking us around in circles and giving us absolutely no options. I am literally working just to survive-pay bills, eat some food and gas money. I can barely even leave my house. No loan that small should leave you filled with anxiety and stress. If this continues, I don’t know if we will be able to make it. Every time they charge us, we also get charged an overdraft fee of $25. I’m not making enough to pay my bills, this loan and groceries. It’s nearly impossible, not to mention that over the 16 week pay period, they will end up taking $2,336 in total for a loan of $500! That’s so insane. I really need someone’s help. I’m going to end up having to file bankruptcy if something doesn’t change soon. Thank you.

I received phone calls from 2 online loan companies this morning. I was able to contact the other company and resolve the issue, but I have not been able to speak to anyone at National. I could only submit an email detailing the problem. I have not received a response to resolve the issue. The issue is that someone has stolen my identity and, so far, applied for 2 loans in my name. While waiting for a response from National, I have frozen my credit with Equifax and requested a fraud alert with all 3 companies. The message from National keeps referencing an email for me to respond to that they, supposedly, sent to me, but, obviously. the email the thief gave them wasn't one of mine. So, since they haven't contacted me, that could give the thief time to give them the go ahead to accept the loan. In my email to them I explained this but they obviously aren't going to contact me about it.

I took out a loan but wasn't told the loan accrues so called fees everyday. I have made 3 payments of 87.95 on a 300 loan, on 2/12/18 2/12, 3/2, 316, 3/30
Which totals 168.85, Now I know there is interest in any borrowed money, but I am being told it is accruing interest everyday. So with that being said I called today after emailing, and told I still owe $324.00 which makes no sense. These people appear to be ripping me off they don't have a site to track what I am paying and after the Rep Chanel said she would email be she called me back to say I have to email them. I did that already with no response. I called and got the run around.

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I am not willing to pay 294 when I recalculated the payments made to the business which total $263.85 on a 300.00 fraudulent loan. This company is still deducting money from my account even after I have paid the agreed amount. I agreed to a $500 loan with a 15% interest rate which makes the balance $575. This company is taking $146.59 from my account bi-weekly. They have already deducted this amount 4 x from my account. So the balance of $575 has been paid. I cannot reach any person to talk to about this issue. I have made multiple phone calls trying to get them to stop deducting money from my account. And when I ask for a payoff amount via text, they send me a balance of $617 even after I have paid four payments of $146.59. No one told me about having to pay more than what I agreed upon. Again I have made multiple calls to his company and all I can get is a receptionist that tells me someone will call me back. But they do not call me back until after the money has been deducted from my account. I had to-do stop payment on this company to keep them from deducting any more money from me. I am ready to hire an attorney to get this to stop. Their business practices are below zero.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 12724802, and determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

At the time I requested the loan, I was advised by the customer service rep advised this had a %15 inyerest. That was all I was told. He didnt give me any additional information and told me he would send a copy of the contract the following Monday. I made multiple calls to tgis company and was always told some one would call me back. I did not receive a copy until March 8, the day I filed a complaint with the Revdex.com.

I would have NEVER agreed to such a ridiculous Interest rate. I asked the rep to verify it was ONLY 15% and he responded, yes. So I believed my part was done and was told they were taking more. I was under the impression My amount was $575. Not $2600. I didnt need a loan that bad.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]

This is actually a service issue as well. My husband got a Loan from this company. They had his banking information and was taking money out weekly. We closed that bank account, we called them, and we were we finally able to speak with someone, my husband gave them permission to start dealing with me for payments. At this time the balance was $698 on Jan 25th. They told me to call back the next day with my information to make a payment as it was after 2pm. The next day I tried to call numerous of times and was told that the message would be taken and my name and number would be given to someone to call me back. They never called. I have called several days in a row and emailed several times to get a payment set up. I finally had someone text me asking for my card and drivers license info. Which I gave to them. They apparently ran the card and it declined because my bank stopped it for being fraud as it comes from an international account...which is odd to me anyway and no one EVER TOLD ME ABOUT IT POSSIBKY DECLINING because of this. Again, tried to call numerous times in the same thing I can take your name and number and I’ll call you back. No one ever called me. I was told to email support no one ever called me. I have emailed about 20 times in the past two or three days asked him to call me ASAP to get a payment set up and still no one will call. It is absolutely ridiculous how they are doing and the customer service is crap. I have looked at this company up on Facebook and they have horrible reviews. This is the most ridiculous company I have ever dealt with when trying to make a payment! THEY DO NOT NEED A BUSINESS LICENSE because they are robbing people by not calling them back to get payment issues worked out and corrected and then adding declined fees and late fees on top of your balance. Today’s balance on his loan account is $775.11

Thank you for sending this to me. I am glad that they are willing to waive the fees, however, my concern is that they never answer the phone when you call to take the payment nor does anyone ever get back with you. I’m also concerned about the high fraud count according to my bank.

Heather
