National Tax Debt Reviews (134)

I got a vague letter from them August 4th saying they were done. I email them back to and asked what the amount they were able to bring the amount owed down to. I got an e-mail from them on August 17th saying that they didn't even try to get the amount down. I sent them an e-mail asking for an... answer as to why. I had been told that they could get the amount down at least by half sometimes more. They said that they would get the amount owed down so it could be paid in 2 years time. I didn't understand why they had not done this or why they needed all the financial information I had sent them. I had sent them 7 months of bank statements every bill I have to pay, all tax forms sent in for 8 years. The fact that the house we live needs so much repair some that the city had come by and said I had to fix some of it in a in a certain amount of time. I am still waiting for a reply. When I did contact them it would take an extremely long time for them to get back to me. If they needed information they would wait until the last minute to tell me. I would always scan it and send it the same day because they would tell me if they did not get it in a day or two they would not help me. It was as if they were trying to find a reason to drop my case. They did get a hold of the IRS,after my last e-mail to them, and told them I had failed to send them all the information they had requested. This is a straight up lie. I guess they were trying to cover up the fact they did not do the work they promised. Since getting the first thing telling me they were done I am getting a lot of phone calls from solicitors and I have to believe that they sold my phone number. I never agreed to them doing this. I hope they have not leaked any of my other information.

I was very skeptical finding places online to help with my back taxesI am so happy that I found National Tax debtI cannot express amazing this company is! My experience working with [redacted] was absolutely enjoyableShe helped me with every step of the process and the process was very seamless and flawless because she was always in contact with me every step of the wayShe answered all my questions in a timely mannerShe was always up front and forthcoming with all the information she gave or I requested, there wasn't any surprises during the process which is always niceThanks [redacted] for making my experience great

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below What offer? NDT blatantly lied stating that I had not respondedI provided proof that I didis the Revdex.com just going to ignore this? now they say I refused to provide documentation on business expenses? I gave them everything I hadThere was no misunderstanding hereI had detailed conversations with them and they were very clearThis whole thing is a shamevery response from them has been full of obvious lies and misdirectionDo you people even read this stuff? how many complaints do you need to have before you figure out a company is up to no good? Regards, [redacted]

I can't express how much I was impressed with my experience with National Tax DebtI began with one representative that didn't quite work out but the other, [redacted] definitely made up for itShe checked in with me monthly and made herself available for any questions I may have hadWhen I needed a more in depth understanding, she was very prompt in scheduling a conference call for me to speak directly with the attorney working on my caseThe attorney was very firm and up front with me in what my options were, and made me feel she had my best interest at heartIn the end my offer was accepted!! I believe if they had not shown themselves in these ways, I may not have had enough motivation to go thru this process

The client was contacted on or around 11/17 since the BBB notified our offices of his complaint at that time. Upon contacting Mr. [redacted] , he apologized for filing the complaint and understood how his actions negatively impacted our company and our work. The client is aware that his actions are tantamount to defamation given that all work has been completed, that he was in constant contact with our offices and given that we were very close to finalizing the last steps in his IRS resolution. During our phone call on or around 11/17, Mr. [redacted] client apologized for his actions and was further explained by our staff that we cannot continue working on his case due to the defamatory and completely baseless complaint filed against National Tax Debt. But for the clients actions, his case would have remained open.

I always see those ads promising to reduce your tax debt to pennies on the dollar and I must admit, I was skeptical but I'm so glad I made the callNational Tax Debt was able to settle my $32,tax debt for $Yes, you read that right…$
From the very first phone call where they reviewed my case and assured me that they wouldn't even take it on if they weren't 95% sure that they could get an offer for me and that I didn't have to pay the entire fee up front but rather in monthly payments for year, I was sold...still a little leery but hopefulThe people handling my case were very thorough, professional, and responsive to both my questions and to the IRSYes, I did need to do some leg work as far as gathering all the requested documents, like my bank statements, monthly bills, paystubs, previous tax returns, etc, and completing some of the IRS forms but they tell you exactly what you need to do and National Tax Debt corresponded with the IRS on my behalf
If you have any tax debt to settle, I highly recommend calling National Tax Debit to see if they can help youThey’ve really lifted a burden off my shoulders and truly gave me my life back as we no longer have this hanging over our head

When the government finally caught up with me I thought how could I ever pay that back
I did some quick research online and found National Tax Dept LLC
National Tax Dept was able to stop the wage garnishmentThey were always there to answer my questions and work on a settlement that I was able to afford They turned 39,dept to a settlement This Company did a outstanding Job Now I'm on good terms with IRS

The people at National Tax Debt were an answer to my prayers I had a very extreme bill with the IRSAnd I know if I had not found this company and the kindness of the staff at National Tax Debt my life will still be very stressful I am still dealing with the California State Franchise Tax, I pray that National Tax Debt be able to help me with me
Yes, I would definitely recommend people to them
Thanks Again

This client retained our services for an IRS offer in compromise and installment agreement in an effort to resolve her IRS tax debt. She retained us in November of and we completed services in full in March of 2016. Prior to agreeing to the terms of our agreement and signing the
contract for our services, the client was well aware that guarantees are not made. Please reference the engagement letter she herself signed back in November of 2014. In addition, she was fully aware of our refund policySince services were rendered in full and for even longer than the month timeframe she paid for, she is not entitled to any refunds. Unfortunately, the client is not willing to understand the resolution process and the tremendous amount of work we completed to put her in the best resolution process. The IRS did not agree to settle her debt after over months of ongoing negotiations. Per IRS calculations and their own internal investigations, the IRS determined that the client had disposable income of $2,each month. As a result, they determined that she could full pay her approximate $25,IRS tax debt within the statutory timeframe. This was thoroughly explained to the client. Furthermore, the $fee the client is referencing is not even a fee charged by our company but rather required by the IRS when submitting an offer. Had she not submitted the filing fee to the IRS, then they would rejected her offer for failure to do so. In addition, after the appeals unit of the IRS re-evaluated the case and confirmed that the IRS would reject the offer, our company proceeded with an installment agreement for payments of $450/month. This payment plan was nearly $less than what her income and expense reflected. As such, this was the best resolution and the lowest possible payment plan any company or any tax professional could have obtained on her behalf During the entire time, the client was fully protected against all collection efforts by the IRS, including but not limited to, levies and seizure of assets. With our representation and assistance, not only was the client able to establish a resolution with the IRS, but she also avoided devastating levies and seizure which would have devastated her financial situation. Unfortunately, the clients claims are grossly incorrect and do not warrant a refund

face="Calibri" size="3">This client retained our services for an installment agreement and review of his tax returns. At the time he contacted us, the taxpayer was well aware that the IRS was attempting to levy him for $600/month and that they wanted to sa payment plan for this amount. He never completed his payment plan with the IRS and voluntarily elected to retain our services after he contacted us directly for help. During the course of his case, our company diligently worked on his file by completing an IRS investigation and compliance check. The client even discussed his case on several occasions with our tax resolution specialists and even one of the tax professionals who was negotiating with the IRS on his behalf. This client was advised of the balances owed and about the missing tax return for 2015. We went through full financial disclosure in order to obtain the best results for this client with the IRS. His income and expenses and the documentation he supplied to us reflected an ability to pay the IRS at least $1884/month. This was explained in detail to the client via telephone and via written correspondence. Since our goal was to put him in the best financial position possible against the IRS, we explored a streamline payment plan with the IRS since this would result in a lower monthly payment to the IRS. The lowest the IRS would agree to under these terms was $620/month. The client was even further advised about the possibility of filing an amended tax return in an effort to possibly lower his overall balance due After review of his return, he was advised that that he prepare his return correctly and thus, the only way to actually file an amended return would be if he could supply us with business expenses. We recently provided him with an opportunity to submit these expenses for a possible amended returnHowever, we are still waiting for his response. Without the clients assistance at this time, we are unable to move forward with an amended return. To date, we have diligently worked on the case file and have provided the services the client retained us for. The complaint filed by the client is unwarranted since services have in fact been rendered. At this time, we are still waiting for the client to return business expenses for us to review the preparation of an amended tax return on behalf of the client

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
No resolution was proposed by the business. They simply attempt to justify their inaction with untrue statements.IE: "We informed Mr*** that it would take 30/days for the *** to process a release of levy"....This not trueThey did not tell me this until I called asking for an update on my case days after 11/05/2014.IE: "We kept Mr*** informed of the progress of his case"....This is not true unless you consider that I initiated all calls and then was only told that, we are working on it.IE: "Mr *** was not in compliance with *** filing requirements and not filed returns for , 2012, 2013"....Not true I was in compliance and and didn't need to file returns for these years due to minimal income.IE: We even obtained additional collection holds on Mr***'s account to prevent any other levies from hitting other sources of incomeIf they did this it was unnecessary work A reputable company , being that they had all of my financial information, would know that additional holds were not necessary as I don't have additional accounts or sources of income, no attachable property, and the *** was already taking as much as they could take from me.IE: "NTD even negotiated a monthly payment plan with the *** per Mr***'s request on 1/29/15"I never requested they negotiate a payment plan, either on 11/03/or on 1/29/15! And by 1/29/I had already told them that I was unhappy with them and wanted a refund of monies paid themIn addition, NTD told me on 11/03/that a payment plan would not be necessary as the *** would consider the money owed them, uncollectable, or worse case, make an offer in compromiseNTD emphasized the fact that they could more than likely resolve my case within three months and for as little as $if an offer in compromise was even necessary.
IE: Several times more throughout their response they claim that they kept me informedAGAIN NOT TRUE..a check of Phone records would verify that they did NOT keep me informedAgain the only conversations I had with NTD were initiated by meUNLESSYou consider the call I received from their accounting department wanting to set up a payment plan because my Deccard payment was declinedMy card was not declined and NTD did receive payment"Oh, I'm very sorry Mr***, I rechecked my computer and see that it was paid"IE: "He repeatedly attempted to avoid paying NTD fees and raising frivolous claims against NTDOn several occasions he threatened to stop paying as a means to manipulate the individuals working on his case"Never was a frivolous claim made and never did I threaten to stop paymentI simply told them, once and once only, that I cancelled my card and would not pay them unless and until they could show me proof of activity on my caseIE: A letter or email from the *** stating that the levy was released, A letter from them outlining their efforts, anything to prove they were doing something as all I was every told when I called was that we are working on it.IE: "NTD thoroughly represented the taxpayer up until he elected to stop payment"If this is true why would they not provide proof of their representation? Again, show me something in writing from the ***, show me a copy of a form faxed to the *** with a received date on it.IE: "Mr*** only made two payments to NTD"THIS IS TRUETwo payments covering daysNovand DEC in which time I should have, as they claimed, received notice of levy releaseIn Decand early JanI called the *** times myself to inquire about activity on my caseI was told they have no record of NTD negotiating on my behalf.Wouldn't this alone be reason enough to discontinue payments? I addition, an internet investigation of NTD and it's principals resulted in very negative informationAlso the Revdex.com website says this company is not accredited, but, the NTD website claims they are.NTD claims they have rendered services that they value over the fees paidI don't feel they haveWhere is the proof?I initially asked for resolution of my complaint in the form of either a refund of monies paid or, in the form of resolution of my case with the *** at which time I offered to pay for their services. There is no longer a choice of options for NTDI request only the immediate refund in the amount of $416.66.Due to the followingIf I do not receive the refund within days of their receipt of this response I will, as I told them, file complaints with the FBI fraud bureau, the Postal inspectors office, The Arizona Attorney Generals office, and California Attorney Generals office.I feel these complaints are justified and warranted and hopefully will protect others from what I feel is a consumer fraud company.I will also proceed with legal action requesting not only the refund of monies paid but will seek additional damages in the amount of $per month for the months of JanFebMarand AprForgiving Novand Decas these are the two monthsto days *** processing time they claimThe amount noted of $per month is the amount the *** was still attaching after NTD stated they had stopped the levy.I am currently working with, Taxpayer Advocate Services Assistance Within one week after contacting them I received a call informing me that my case has already been resolved and I will be receiving verification from both them and the *** within the next weekNo payment planThe money is deemed uncollectable by the ***.NOTEIn my initial contact with the Taxpayer Advocate services I mailed to them copies of all the documentation that had been required by NTD to proceed with my case assuming they would also need itI received a call for my Advocate Service caseworker laughingly asking why I thought it necessary to include all this documentationHe said none of it was necessary or required by the *** as both he and they have access to my income and financial records. The only form he asked for was an expenditure statement in the form of *** form 433FGuess what??? This is the one thing NTD never asked for

I hope people are starting to get the idea about this companymy complaint is only the 5th or 6th but there is a trend of dishonesty hereI contacted NTD to help reduce my monthly payment to the IRSSomething they said they could do but only after taking my moneyTheir response here is inaccurateThe order of events went like this: I called them gave them detailed financial info, they said they could helpI paid them moneySent them hardcopy proof of my financial infoThey supposedly amended my prior returns I even talked directly with the person preparing the amended returnsI insisted at that time that I had given them all of my business expensesEventually they came back with the payment plan that was for more than the one I had originallyI asked for a refund in writing and on the phoneboth requests were ignoredI submitted a complaint to the Revdex.comNTD called me a couple weeks after asking for business expenses and saying they needed to amend my previous returnsI reminded them that this had already been doneI sent an email on June 28thHello,I am sorry that I missed your phone callI have already submitted the entirety of my financial and tax information to youIncluding all business expensesAs far as I know NTD already amended my returns as I was in communication with christy marks during that process.Thank you*** ***I have attached the original email to this complaint showing that their response here is an outright lieThey are trying to make it out like I did something wrongThey mislead me from the beginningI should have known better At this point I am sure that the only way I can get my money back is through small claims court but im not flying to california to do that I hope that at least a couple people research this company here before doing business with them, like I should have doneThis company does not deserve an A+ ratingThey are willing to lie to the Revdex.com to cover their shady practices and I have attached the proof

[I did NOT ask for them for them to initiate an installment agreementI did not read the entirety of their paperwork but took them for their wordI had taken out a loan to pay it off completely and was ready to do so*** told me that it would be in my best interest and a "win-win" situation for me to let this business take over our case and after they reduce the total amount owed, then I can pay it all at once in full still, but it would be significantly lower than the original amountHer example was that they had recently had a couple that owed almost $50,and they got it reduced to about $15,That is not an example used when discussing installment agreementsThat is an example used when discussing getting the total amount reducedI told her that we would probably not qualify for financial hardship and she agreed but said that they would save us money anyway and advised me to not pay the IRS total off that day and instead pay them $to let them start on the case immediatelyThe first letter we received in regards to an installment agreement immediately had me worried and we called and asked *** about itI reminded her that our goal was to lower the total amount, not set up the installments and she said that they had to set up the installments to buy some time while they negotiate with the IRS which could take up to a yearAbout a month later, we received the second installment letter so I called again and they had closed our accountThey did not do what they told me they would do and it ended up costing me moreIf they continue to deny that my intention was a reduction of the total amount owed then they are liars and manipulative and shouldn't be considered for anything above initiating installment agreements with the IRS, which is something we could do ourselves easily without paying someone a $lump sum.]
