Review: I ordered the buy 1-get-1 free deal with Mr Lid on 01-11-14 and they sent an email stating the shipment was on its way 01-24-14. I have entered the Fed Ex tracking # into the Fed Ex website and they tell me that number does not exist. I tried the tracking number at USPS and still nothing. I have called Mr Lid to cancel the order or at least find out where it is, but no one ever answers the phone. Mr. Lid claims they will not charge the credit or debit card until the order is shipped, and my credit card was charged by Mr. Lid on 01-24-14. I have not received the order and I just want my $35.80 back.Desired Settlement: I would like to get my $35.80 back from Mr. Lid.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I would like the refund of $35.80 to my credit card. I was able to reach a human being by phone after approximately 45 minutes, and the female sales representative with no name told me they would refund the money to my card in 3 to 5 business days. I will be writing you again if I do not receive this refund in 3 to 5 days.

Review: My 84 year old mother in law ordered from a TV ad for Mr. Lid. The ad stated order one set for $10 and get the other set free. After a telephone conversation she supposedly ordered the deluxe set at $30 a piece with a 5 year warranty. When asked for proof of warranty, I was told she would have to contact Mr. Lid for it. So what should have been a $30 order was a $90 order. .Desired Settlement: I would like a credit card credit for $60. They did a bait and switch on an 84 year old woman, who was buying Christmas gifts for her children and grandchildren.

The customer placed an order with us on 10/20/13. The order

was for three buy one get one free offers. A buy one get one free offer is

$10.00 for the first set of 10 lids plus 7.95 shipping and handling. The second

set of 10 lids is free however, the customer is required to pay $7.95 shipping

and handling again. Therefore one buy one get one free offer is $25.90. The

customer upgraded all of the offers to deluxe offers. A deluxe offer is an

extra $20.00 for a 5-year limited replacement warranty. Therefore each deluxe

offer came to $45.90. With three deluxe offers and sales tax the order total

came to $142.65.

The customer sent a letter to our Customer Service

Department which was received on 11/08/13. On 11/08/13 a customer service

representative called the customer in response to that letter to give the customer

return information for their order. Our return policy is a 60 day money back

guarantee. The customer service representative left a message with our number

and hours of operation because they were unable to get ahold of the customer.

On 12/30/13 the customer contacted us again wanting to return the merchandise. Because

the customer was past the 60 day return policy, we were unable to accept a

return.

Because the customer is not interested in the extended

warranty, we will credit back the $20.00 on each one of the offers. This will

be a total refund of $60.00. This credit will void all three warranties on each

one of the offers. This credit was applied 12/31/13. Please allow 3-5 business

days for this credit to appear back on the Discover card.

I would like to share my experience with EASYVIEW HD, If you want this product, you will be charged double for shipping and when you finally realize that the shipping is double and want to cancel, you can't. they don't give you the opportunity. I ordered the easyview item because I really need it. I thought it was great when I see the advertisement on tv. The sun from the east is very bright in the mornings when I drive to work, so this was just what the doctor ordered when I seen the advertisement. I ordered the easyview and they had a great deal, buy 1 get another free and that was great, but when I ordered, I thought I was paying for shipping both, but my shipping doubled and when I thought I was only paying $17, I was paying $25. I wanted to cancel the order, but you can't get in contact with them. The Customer service is impossible, so make sure you don't get over charged. I was reading some of the complaints and they are all the same when it comes to delivery and customer service issues.

Review: The business (MrLid.com) sells plastic containers with attached lids for what appear to be reasonable prices (about $10 for a small set and 7-8 dollars for shipping. I was fine with that. I ordered 2 sets, figuring that the shipping would come to around $20. My main complaint about this website is that you are given no opportunity to review your order before it is placed. If I had know the shipping would be more than 30 dollars, I never would have placed it. These are plastic containers that could not possibly weight more than 4 pounds. At the end of the order, there is a clickable link that claimed I had a "free shipping offer" on the order I just placed. The link actually takes you to another (probably related) site that claims that I would receive free shipping on my previous order in exchange for even more personal information and for purchasing more products. I don't know what the laws are in Wisconsin (MrLids customer service address) as they apply to online orders, but not allowing customers to review their orders before billing should be an clear problem as customers could be charged anything the buyer chooses for "shipping" without being given the option to opt out of this transaction. This practice should be illegal if it is not already. I have little hope that a "business" that runs itself out of a 6 digit PO Box in Milwaukee will face any meaningful repercussions and I already have deep regrets about sharing my financial information with them. But I hope they can at least be made to display their shipping costs up front.Desired Settlement: not applicable. No settlement requested.

Review: I placed an order with Mr.Lid online. They over charged and lied on their advertising saying a second set is free and you only have to pay the shipping and handling. They charged my for the extra set. Also said would not charge credit card until order was shipped, charged my card two days after ordered. As of Feb. 26th order still not shipped. Have called their customer service number over forty times and have never had my call answered. So you cannot call to change or cancel your order. Called the "order" line and they will not help saying they can only "place" an order. So, next tried to check and see if order was shipped and my order number was "not found" by the automated system. Afterwards I went online and read reviews and it appears I'm not the only one to have this same issue.Desired Settlement: I would like a total refund and this company researched further.

only applicable shipping charges are on the free set If additional Main Offers are

We do not provide prepaid shipping labels. Customers who wish to return product can

I received an email confirming the order but I can't reply back to them. I have already contacted my bank to dispute charges but I have to wait until the transaction post, right now it's pending however it's a debit card so the money has been drafted. Review: I ordered this visor that was advertised on tv. After completing my order yesterday, Sunday March 9 , 2014, I entered my

credit card and order was complete. It was not until then that I noticed my $20.00 order had a $30.00+ shipping charge.

This was not shown until after order was complete. I have called and number listed gives an odd noise, not working.

Found another number : ###-###-####. Called and no one ever, ever picks up.

There is no other means to contact. I want to cancel this order. Of course I would not have made this order

with that type of shipping charge. The order is for 4 small plastic square visors, not big or heavy. The $30 is

obviously part of the scam. Charge a reasonable price and then add an inflated price and call it shipping.

Review: Mr. Lid has their web site set up in a way to purposely overcharge the consumer. You are required to provide the credit card information first, therefore once you are in the site and selecting merchandise they do not require to you show what you have ordered and how much you will be charged. I am a very cautious consumer and read all of the fine print, I placed my order yesterday as soon as I saw the price after the order posted I called customer service where I remained on hold for 30 minutes at work and eventually had to go. They are only there until 5:00pm CST, which is 6pm EST and that is when I left work. I filed a complaint on customer complaint tab of their website and specifically said do not ship this order or charge my card until you speak to me. Today I received an email stating that my order of $61.90 was shipping today so I called Customer Service back, waited 20 minutes and finally was able to speak to a person. However, that was pointless, supposedly I am being sent two sets of buy one get one free, which is ridiculous, I am very cautious shopper and have at this point read SEVERAL complaints claiming the same thing. It is misrepresentation of cost and also fraud. Now I am left with the daunting task of having to ship it back, which my guess is that they are hoping that most people won't want to be bothered.Desired Settlement: I want $25.80 refunded for the amount I was overbilled without having to go through the hassle of sending back their product and also waiting God knows how many months for my refund after the experience that I have already had with this company. Review: I was filling out the Mr Lid online order form/process. It has multiple screens with numerous upsells and attempts to sell products in packages, or individually, all with a second identical set/group/item "free, simply pay separate shipping and handling." I ordered 4 total sets of the Mr. Lid - 2 @ $10 + S&H, 2 @ only S&H, 4 gallon containers, 2 @ $5.95 + S&H, 2 @ only S&H, and then a set of jar holders, 2 @ $10 each = S&H, 2 @ only S&H. I was paying with paypal and then total screen showed that the products cost less than the shipping and handling. I never purchase when this happens. There was a blinking button "Get Free Shipping!" so I looked at that offer (some club), but DID NOT MAKE A PURCHASE; NEVER PURCHASED, NEVER FINALIZED THE SALE, NEVER SAID 'MAKE THIS CHARGE' OR SIMILAR BUTTON, instead, I clicked the back arrow but saw a button that said "go back to home" to I went back to home thinking that was a way to re-start the process, having NOT MADE A PURCHASE.

I quickly saw when I was on the paypal screen again that it HAD ALREADY DEBITED MY PAYPAL ACCOUNT OVER $111!!! This despite there having been no finalized sale, no purchase made, no affirmative action on my part to complete the transaction.

This is a fraudulent act - I immediately contacted Paypal and had them start their process to electronically "grab" the funds and investigate, noting there exactly what I've noted here vis-a-vis not completing the sale but vendor taking funds as if walking through the store was sufficient to make a transaction. I do not know if that Paypal investigation would be sufficient, so I attempted to contact the company. On the website, there is only 1 phone number; online searches showed only that phone number - there was another number but when reverse directory done on it, it appears to be a private individual's phone. I called the one number repeatedly and only showing for this company -- the rude southern accented person said "This is a sales line. We don't do complaints here. You'll have to call customer service when they open later today." I inquired after that number, but this person didn't have it or wasn't willing or able to give it to me. I ended that call.

And started this complaint.

This organization appears to rely upon questionable business practices in order to maintain cash flow. This is not the way American businesses behave - and especially not how businesses in the Midwest behave! I was shocked to see this was a Milwaukee-based company acting as if they weren't subject to the normal rules and customs of business.Desired Settlement: Funds restored to Paypal or a check refunded to me; a change in website design so that (A) the phone number for contacts OTHER than sales is clearly shown on the front/opening screen and (B) the ordering and sales process shows a running total on the screen, the process can reverse at any time without resulting in negative action, and the sale does not occur until such time as the customer actually completes the transaction through an affirmative action, by clicking on a button clearly labeled to complete a sales transaction "Make this Purchase!" or "Buy these and Send me my Mr Lids!"

If the Paypal funds were successfully stopped before the reached the grubbing hands of this organization, I then want the second half to be done as a means of preventing contact and complaints to the offices of the Attorneys General of Minnesota and Wisconsin, Consumer Affairs division, attention online fraud divisions. I would happily forego these complaint actions if the organization makes the necessary changes to the website. In retrospect, I should have Googled the company's name and seen they were less than stellar customers, but I was lulled into complacency by seeing the advertisement during a financial "Mad Money." I will do my due diligence in the future, and not make purchases of anything shown during [redacted]'s show!

Called regarding No Sweat Socks offer. Received letter from them MONTHS after placing order(and never receiving it). Person NOT helpful at all. Didn't know what I was talking about...and finally said I would not be receiving the order. They have my credit card info. and that makes me uneasy.

Review: I ordered the product from mr lid, they had a deal that clearly stated two for one plus shipping and handling, when the initial invoice came up, it said total order was $25.90, it is the total that I ok'd to be charged through paypal but when I got the confirmation invoice form paypal and mr lid the total charged to my card was $51.90. this is false advertising, stealing, I read all the fine print and it never said that it would charge me double. Review: Saw commercial for Mr.Lid kitchen containers on TV, advertising $10 for set of lidded containers. However, when I went online to order 1 set for $10, site would not allow only 1 set. I was forced to buy an extra set + a set of larger containers. The final price (with shipping) was $52, not $10. I tried calling their listed phone number and got a recording stating their hours (8-5CST).Desired Settlement: I really want to stop delivery, if possible. Best case scenario, just deliver original $10 set and forget the rest.

one free offer was $10 for the first visor $7.95 shipping and handling. The second visor

was free however, the customer was required to pay another shipping and handling fee of

$7.95 as well. This would give the customer a total of6 visors. The customer ordered 3 of

the main offers. The customer's order total is 577.70

This customer has not contacted our Customer Service department since the order was

made. The customer may return the product however, it is less the sbipping and handling.

If the customer would like to return the product. they will have to contact our Customer

Service department to set up the return. The refund would be 577.70

Review: hello, I went to place an order with Mr. Lid. I had to enter my credit card information then billing information first, then had to proceed to place an order. At the end of the order I reviewed my invoice. The invoice was incorrect. so I thought I entered information incorrect, I went back to the beginning and reentered my order, which was still incorrect. The advertisement stated to buy one Mr Lid product for $10.00 + 7.95 shipping and get the next order for FREE only pay 7.95 shipping. When I reviewed my invoices I was charged $20.00 for 2 Mr Lid products and $31.80 in shipping. After review my invoice, I did not confirmed to place this order and left the website. I understand that Mr. lid is shipping out this order I never confirmed I wanted. I call company and have to wait until I get my order, bring to post office pay for shipping it back , make a copy of my receipt, write a # on the outside of the box and ship it back, then they will credit my credit card.Desired Settlement: a full refund. I never finished placing order. Their web site is not easy to navigate. NO confirmation was sent that I placed an order

an additional $7.95 processing. That is a TOTAL of 20 Mr. Lid Containers® in

Additional shipping

and handling charges apply for shipments to non-continental US ($10 per order)

and Canada ($50 per order.)”

Therefore, one main

offer is $25.90. Because the customer purchased two main offers her order total

came to $51.80.

On 01/14/14 the

customer called in and spoke with one of our representatives who informed her

that we had a 100% money back guarantee. Our return policy is a 60 day money

back guarantee for a full refund. The customer is responsible for sending the

package back to us however, if the customer pays for standard mail, we will

refund them for their return shipping. In order to be credited for the return

shipping the customer needs to include the receipt for their return shipping inside

of the package. Once the package is received by our warehouse, the customer

will be fully refunded.
