A very good idea, a very bad business model. Mr. Lid has setup their business to defraud consumers in a systematic subtle way.

1. You cannot view your on-line order prior to placing.

2. The order I placed had items I had not ordered on it and shipping costs 3 times what I expected.

3. I immediately attempted to contact customer service; however, you cannot get through to customer service. I put my phone on speaker phone and let it ring for 3 days, for duration of 8 hours each time, no one ever picked up.

4. There is no email address to contact them.

5. With no way to contact them you cannot revise your order and the order ships, when you receive the email that the order is being processed, you cannot reply to the email to cancel or revise the order.

6. The only way to contact is via snail mail, of course by the time the mail would reach them the order will have shipped.

7. The Mr. Lid website indicates you can return if not fully satisfied, just need to contact customer service for a RMA number; of course you cannot ever reach customer service therefore can never receive an RMA number.

8. If you call the 1-800 number the person that answers will tell you they cannot reach customer service, need to call the number that no one answers.

I had to go to the post office and ask them to refuse the package, and it was sent back, I am still waiting for my refund.

This "As Seen On TV" advertiser has, in my opinion, deceptive advertising practices. They offer their product for $10 with $7.95 S&H. They offer buy one, get one for just S&H. When you place your order the second one option is confusing. I wanted to get three pieces, the first one at $10, plus $7.95, and two more for $7.95 each. So I ordered three, there was no charge verification screen, once you enter your credit card info, it goes directly to your completed order. Mine was $77.70, when I expected it to be $33.85. They offer a customer service number 1-262-787-2033 which is never answered. Please look into this company's practices. Review: I was going to purchase a Mr Lids Container collection from their website and I decided to cancel after entering my billing information. I found that you cannot cancel a transaction once you click "proceed" on the site. There is no information that clicking this link is going to generate a charge to my debit card automatically so I called to cancel the order. I was told that since the order had "gone to shipping" it could not be cancelled and must be paid for and then returned for a refund with me paying to ship it back. I feel this is a VERY deceptive tactic and wish to send the word about this awful company.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund and return shipping cost paid for by company.

Review: My mother placed an order by phone for the easy view hd glare visor at buy 1 get 1 free for $10 about 2 weeks ago (the total with S&H added was + $25.00) and after about a week and a half

when we tried to check order status from their website all we get is a blank page and she has had no luck getting a hold of anyone by telephone there ever since either.

So then she thought that she may have made a mistake ordering so asked me (her son) to place another order from the website https://www.easyviewhd.com/Index.dtm, which I did about 1

week ago. After entering in the information it gave us a conformation that the billing went through but no other kind of email conformation or anything of a billing sale to look at.

So now its been closing in on 2 weeks for the first order (about 3 weeks total for both) and we still only get a blank page when we fill out the check order status page on their website and of course

of 2 or 3 different numbers we have been able to find we get no answer at all on the telephone. And as far as I can see thier is no email address we can write to them either.

The grand total of cash spent for nothing (as of yet) is in the range of +$50.00 bucks now and my mom being 74 and still driving really needs these visors or to get her money refunded As Soon As Possible.

not to mention they have her credit card information which is very scary also.

pay for regular ground shipping and that amount will be refunded as tong as the customer

includes a copy of the shipping receipt with their retum. We will not refund any kind of

Review: wed 1/22/2014 saw ad on tv for plastic containers with lid for 10.00 plus additional set for 10.00 I called number from tv and they tried to sell me additional set, I said no thanks - on friday 1/24/2014 they called my home and told me the containers were shipped - I asked how much they said 131.55 and I called them back and asked to cancel - they said I could I had to wait until I received merchandise and they transferred me to billing which was a recording hat said go to website. this is a fraud, I have notified my bank to cancel since they refused - I found this company has a history of charging customer without their approvalDesired Settlement: I want the amt of 131.55 removed from my debit card

one get one free offers. Each deluxe buy one get one free offer as $30.00 each

and 15.90. The customer also ordered a value pack for $19.95 with free shipping

and handling, a gallon container for $5.95 plus $3.95 shipping and handling,

and a 4 pack of sandwich containers for $5.95 plus $3.95 shipping and handling.

The total of this order came to $131.55.

On 01/24/14 the customer called in to cancel the order. The representative

informed the customer that the package had shipped out. The customer was not

pleased however, they were advised that we had a 100% money back guarantee. The

representative also explained that if they paid for standard mail and included

a receipt from the post office, we would refund them for their return shipping.

On 01/28/14 the customer called again requesting that the

order be canceled. The customer was told again that the order had shipped

already. The customer was very upset and yelled at the representative. The representative

explained our return policy again to the customer. The representative also

offered to give the customer a tracking number. The customer did not take that

tracking number right away and hung up. Later on, the customer called back and

a different representative gave the customer their tracking number.

On 01/29/14 the customer called in and stated that they did

not get their package. We advised the customer that according to the tracking

the estimated delivery was on 01/30/14. The customer wanted a return

authorization. Per our policy, we are not able to distribute a return

authorization until the package has been delivered. The customer was told our

return policy again. The customer began to curse at the representative and then

disconnected the call.

On 01/30/14 the customer called in for the procedure for a

return authorization. The representative explained that the customer would be

given a return authorization that they would write on the outside of their

package. The customer was informed that they would initially pay standard mail

in order to ship it back to us. The customer was informed that if they included

a receipt they would be reimbursed for their return shipping as well as a full

refund on the order. The customer did not set up a return authorization.

This response is rubbish - there was NEVER a order placed. They were told immediately that the request was not what I wanted. If you notice there is no email for this company, and there are millions of complaints against them. Why would I spend 100.00 for containers that are advertised for 10.00. This is a outright lie.

Review: I saw an ad on TV about a sun visor and it said, "buy one and get one free (just pay separate shipping and handling). I am a avid online shopper (airlines, Amazon, eBay, PayPal and a host of educational sites for my job) so I am very familiar with the processes. Generally, when you buy one get one free, the menu will have the correct verbiage. However, the Easy View menu did not. I selected 2 thinking that I would be asked if I wanted to pay separate shipping and handling. It did not. After putting in my credit card info, it didn't ask me to confirm my order to make sure it was correct, it just took the payment and said thank you. You never had a opportunity to review the amount before submitted so I was over billed. On their website they list a contact number (###-###-#### but no one answered it. I then called the ###-###-#### and never got a live voice. They said if you recently made a purchase you had to wait 72 hours before checking back. I didn't want to wait 72 hours so I continued to call for the next two days (3/3 to 3/5 2014). After not getting anywhere, I called the ###-###-#### number again and went through all the menus and discovered that the contact number listed was incorrect and the correct number was ###-###-####. I called and spoke to someone after waiting 15 minutes. The First CS rep told me that my order was shipped and if I wanted the Federal Express tracking no. I was so upset since the original voice recording said I had to wait 72 hours before checking on my order, so the "Bait and Switch" was they shipped it out in one day. I was so upset that she hung up on me. I called back and the next CS rep said it was in pending status but they could not cancel the order. Now , most companies give you an opportunity to select the type of shipment you want, but this company uses the most expensive (FedExpress) so they can ship in one day. Their practices are fraudulent because are banking on the fact that a customer makes a mistake, then they say , Well you can return the product, but you have to pay for the shipping and handling again. This is not the way to do business.Desired Settlement: If they cannot stop the wrong order and correct the error, I don't want the product and will refute the charge.

Review: On approximately 3/23/14 I looked at the Mr Lid website to see the details of their offer. I found out that I could not get a final price on the offer until I entered my information and credit card. I did not make a purchase, never hit submit in anyway. On 3/25 I received an email saying my order was being processed. I called the phone number, spoke to a rep who said once you enter any info your order is placed. What a scam. I told them I wanted to cancel and they said I could not because my order was shipped, another lie. After checking my order status it was not shipped but they would not let me cancel my order. There solution is to charge my card and wait til it arrives and then pay to have it sent back. I am not happy with this as it is obviously a scam to charge your cards and make you get frustrated and keep the material. I don't want it, the material is crap, as stated on many websites. I want my money back.Desired Settlement: I want my order cancelled and a full refund of my money including shipping I have to pay to return the material. I would also like them to place in readable writing the fact that if you enter anything we're charging your card.

Every offer on the website provides a price for the product and the shipping charges. Its

up to the customer to read all the facts on the page before continuing. There is not a

submit or confirm button at the end of the ordering process. After the customer enters

credit card infonnation and presses "order now" the order is placed, offers after that are

extras that are available for our customers to purchase. They can add these extra to their

order by pressing "Yes Continue" or "No Thanks".

Iftl1e customer wishes to cancel the order. they cannot simply disconnect or close their web

browser; otherwise the order will not be cancelled, it will simply be fulfilled to the point it was

disconnected or closed.

Review: Placed an order on line on the company's website and by the time I realized how much they were charging, total, there was no way to cancel the order or not place the order. I placed this order that should have been about $40, and when I saw the total of $91.55, it was too late, the order had already been placed, with no way to cancel. I called "Customer Service" immediately and found them closed. I waited until the next morning, when they first opened, and tried to cancel my order. They said it was too late, that the order had already shipped and that I could get a full refund by calling when I receive the shipment, getting a return authorization number and sending it back. I'm sure, it will be without the $39.70 in shipping fraudulently charged to me!!!!!!Desired Settlement: Full refund of entire $91.55

Review: I ordered an EZ View product on March 21, 2014 on the website www.easyviewxt.com. On the website the price of the product was stated as $10 dollars. I wasn't informed for the 15.90 shipping fee before my credit card info was taken by the merchant. What's worse, there is a 6 week waiting for the shipping and I wasn't informed for this either! I immediately called the customer service number ###-###-#### and had this order cancelled. I thought this would the end for the bad shopping experience but it is not. 50 days later, I found a package shipped from EZ view! I immediately checked my credit card and found the charge had already been posted 5 days ago! So my order wasn't cancelled! EZ View kept my credit card info and still charged me! What a sneaky way of doing business!!! Please never buy anything from EZ View! I recently made an online order after having seen the product on tv.

EASY VIEW sun visors : the postage price was not visible until I had entered my credit card and when I reached the final checkout saw that I was being charged $31.00+ for postage [ I live in the Caribbean and dont even pay such high charges for shipping from the USA ] this charge was for postage to a Miami address.

when my order confirmation was emailed, at the bottom of the statement was an offer to get a refund on postage : many links brought me to a "sign-up" page that would entitle me first to membership and again NO prices are visible upfront.

Review: I placed an online order with MRLIDS.com based on a TV commercial. After trying to find out the shipping charges, I realized I could not until I entered my credit card information. After entering this information, I received a "Order Confirmed" screen and that was the first time I could see the shipping charges. The shipping charges exceed to cost of the items purchased and these items are plastic so very light weight. The order was $20 and the shipping applied was $31.80.

I tried several times to cancel the order with the same hour and could not reach a real person. I stayed on hold for hours. I then read reviews on this company and learned that this is an ongoing complaint. Every review stated the same problem I had making this purchase. All also stated they could not reach any one in customer service.Desired Settlement: Return of full charge of $51.80 to the credit card used to make the purchase and if item is received I will return it at my cost.

Review: Website said 'you qualify for free shipping.' In truth the customer (me) would have to sign up for an undesired shipping service with a credit card commitment. Sites use the phrase of 'qualify for free shipping' as meaning free shipping - truly. There is no additional work or commitment required.

On January 12/14 I ordered on-line some items from Mr. Lid for a total of $35.90 but the shipping costs are $69.85! When you make an on-line order, after it goes through all the offers and you click yes or no, it goes directly to completion without asking you to confirm or to make a change or correction so I was not able to see the total price until the order was compete. The Free Shipping Rebate is also a rip off as you have to put in your credit card number before you can qualify. I called the number provided for customer service at Mr. Lid and expressed my displeasure and disappointment about the charges and asked to have my order cancelled. Apparently there is a note right down at the bottom of the first page on their web site that says Canadian orders are charged $50 (and more) for shipping. If they want to inform their Canadian customers that they will be charged such an exorbitant fee for shipping that information should be in full display right at the top of the page! But they hide it right down at the bottom where most people don't look if they are making an on-line order and the click for Buy Now is at the top of the page. I am really disappointed at the extremely overly expensive shipping charges since I wanted to get the Mr. Lid containers. I order frequently on-line and never had to pay that much for a $35.90 order. Hopefully this company will change their practices and provide better service for Canadian customers and also change their check out procedures so a customer can confirm, correct and/or change their order and shipping information before it is completed.

Review: I responded to a website order for the advertised 'Mr Lid' deal I saw on television. It was to cost $10 for a set of 20 Mr Lid containers and $7.95 s/h. During the check out process they made you go through many additional offers trying to motivate you into buying more sets, etc. On one of the offers I had to click through to get to my actual check out page, it showed another set for a price of $7.00 with $7.95 s/h. I thought about this and opted for the additional set. I could not review the total before I clicked on the 'order now' button. I did the math and determined this order would total $32.90. After I clicked the order now button, I was finally shown a 'thank you for your order' page with a total of $48+. I was furious. I looked on the website for an email address and/or phone number I could use to cancel the order immediately. There is no email address. There is a phone number. I called the phone number and after being on hold for 45 minutes, spoke with a woman with a bad foreign accent. I told her I had an order number and that I wanted to cancel my order because of the false advertising used when determining the s/h charges. She informed me that the order wouldn't possibly be in the system yet and that I was to call back on Monday (since this was Friday and the office was about to close). I pressed her by saying I did not trust them to take care of this during a future phone call and that I wanted it cancelled right then. I asked her for an email address to customer service that I could send an email to explaining my dissatisfaction and she informed me that they cannot receive any emails. I asked her if [email protected] is an active email. She said she did not know. She finally agreed to take my name, number and order number and make a note to take care of this on Monday. Frustrated, I thanked her and hung up. Immediately after that I sent the following email to my wife, the email address for customer service to Mr Lid above (which was not returned)...and am sharing it with the Revdex.com here:

I contacted Mr. Lid online after seeing a commercial for these amazing containers with lids permanently attached. I submitted an order. The cost was to be $10 for a double order...and then they said for $7.00 more, I could quadruple the order with no additional shipping charged. I did not know the shipping was going to be $38 dollars for this product. I was not informed of that until I hit the 'order' button and the charge was shown. A few moments later, I contacted the vendor after trying to find a cancellation process on the website.

I called 262-787-2035 and cancelled order - 2 January 2015. Spoke with Abetutu. She stated that the amount charged for shipping was incorrect, that something 'happened.' She claims there is no email address to send a response to address my dissatisfaction with the order...and there is no way of doing so on the website. She also said I should call back on Monday because their office was just about to close (after I spent 45 minutes on hold). I forwarded this to [email protected] just in case she was wrong about the email address.

She finally took my name, my number and the order number below and said she would look into it when they reopen on Monday....and for me to call them back to make sure it was taken care of. Grrrr

I shall warn all 5000 of my friends on facebook to not buy into this ripoff based on this experience.

I learned a lesson today.

Review: Approximately a 10 days ago I sent you a complaint about E-Z View HD Visors, whereby I've tried to contact the E-Z View people in order to get permission to return for credit some E_Z View Visors which I am totally dissatisfied with. When I call. all I keep getting is for me to "hold" for a customer service rep, which never seems to happen.

Have you had any response from them?? Did you get permission from them (an RMA) for me to return these visors so that I may get credit ??

Review: Mr. Lid is a shady business engaging in Bait and Switch tactics. After seeing their TV advertisement, I went online to look into ordering their products, but had not decided to do so. The first step is to enter Credit Card information, and this apparently starts the order process, although this is not made clear to the consumer. The website then forces you through several pages of misleading "yes" or "no" order options that add items and charges to the bill. The final page is an automated order confirmation with no option to modify, cancel, edit, or approve the order. I did not and do not wish to place an order with the business, yet one was created and my card was charged without my authorization.

When I tried calling the company when they opened on Monday, I was placed on hold two separate times and given two numbers to call. People at both numbers told me that my order was processing in the warehouse and there was nothing I could do to stop it. They told me that the only person who could help me was a supervisor who would give me a call back on a letter date. I told them this was unacceptable and that I planned to contact my credit card company to issue a dispute of the charges.

The company employs bait-and-switch tactics as the foundation of their business model and purposefully makes it near impossible to edit or cancel orders. They charged my credit card, without my permission, an amount I did not authorize.

I do not wish to order from them and I refuse for my credit card to be charged. I won't accept any shipments from the company and I WILL NOT spend any more time contacting the company or sending them back any materials they ship to me without my permission. I have already started a dispute with my credit card company because I am not going to be responsible for an order I did not wish to place or charges I did not authorize.Desired Settlement: This company can make things easier on themselves by issuing my credit card a refund for the full amount. I've already disputed the charges with my credit card company, so Mr. Lid will receive a chargeback if they don't cancel the order. The company should also be brought to lawsuit by the Revdex.com for bait-and-switch tactics, misleading and distrustful business practices, and issuing unauthorized charges to credit cards.

On 03/29/14 the customer placed an order for two buy one get one free offers. One buy

one free offer was 510 for the first set of 10 lids plus 57.95 shipping and handling. The

second set of 1 0 lids were free however. the customer was required to pay another

shipping and handling fee ofS7.95 as well. This would give the customer a total of20

lids. The customer also placed an order for an Value Pak for 519.95 he ordered two of

these main offers. His order total came to $68.75

Orders cannot be canceled simply by hanging up the phone. The customer called to

cancel his order the rep advised him that the order had shipped. The customer has not

contacted customer service to return the products.

The customer does have 60 days to return the merchandise for full credit The customer

needs to call customer service for the return information. We will pay for return shipping,

but the customer win need to include a receipt for the return shipping price so that we can

refund her. We do not send out prepaid labels.

Review: My mom told me that to look into Mr.Lid, so I went to check it out for her. I went to the website to possibly place an order. The first thing they have you do on the website is put in all of your information. When I was looking at all of the pricing, I decided not to order and buy somewhere else. I clicked no on every offer, then I just clicked out of the Mr.Lid website. I later got an email saying that my order was placed. Never did I authorize an order. They took my money. I tried calling their, and they told me to call their customer service. I tried calling the customer service number that they gave me and they never once answered. I called several times and even let the phone ring for ten minutes. I called back the line where you can place orders and they claim that they cannot help you. Review: Like the many complaints I have been reading about Mr. Lid, I placed an order online after seeing the advertisement on T.V. for the buy1 get 1 free 10 peice container set. I only intended to buy 1 of these sets but the site is confusing and as it tries to get you to add additional products it automatically puts in 1 additional set and charges shipping for 4 sets!! It never shows you a summary of your order before placing the order and all of sudden what should have been a $25 purchase comes up as $51.80 and the order is placed! Had there been a summary to review like all other reputable website I would have canceled the extra set before placing the order. There is no email address to contact them at and the phone number is automated and goes around in circles. It never lets you leave a message nor does anyone ever pick up!! Clearly a scam!Desired Settlement: I wish to have only one set sent to me and not be charged for the second. I also would like them to add a summary of order to their website before they process customer orders. They are clearly tricking many people in hope that most will not pursue a refund.
