Online City Tickets Reviews (2190)

HORRIBLE, DO NOT USE THEM, THEY OVERPRICE TICKETS, THEIR FEES ARE OUTRAGEOUS AND YOU CANNOT CANCEL YOUR ORDERI PURCHASED TWO TICKETS FOR DISNEY ON ICE IN MIAMI, INNOCENTLY ASSUMING THE PRICE WOULD BE PRETTY MUCH STANDARD WHEN I NOTICED [redacted] WAS 50% CHEAPER BUT GUESS WHAT? COULDN'T RETURN MY PURCHASE

[redacted] *** is stating that his order total for two tickets was $when in fact that was the price per ticketWhen [redacted] *** selected their tickets, they were taken to our checkout pageFrom there, they were directed to review the itemized order breakdown, which clearly displayed the price per ticket (tickets at $each), all fees ($1045.45), and the total price ($4480.45) in bolded textThen, [redacted] *** was directed to review our terms and conditions—visible in a text box below this order total—and presented with the bolded message “All sales are final.” At this point, [redacted] *** was also presented with the message “I agree to the sales terms and conditionsI have reviewed the Order Summary above," and a check box that he needed to click to continue with checkoutBelow this check-box, another message was displayed that read: “By clicking ‘Place Order’, your credit card will be charged ($4480.45), which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees.” This notice was followed by a button labeled “Place Order.” By checking this box, [redacted] *** signified his acknowledgement of the total price, our sales terms and completed his order. As a secondary marketplace, Online City Tickets is not directly affiliated with any artist or venue and does not generate tickets as a primary box office; rather, we act as an intermediary between fans and ticket holdersSince customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure our policies are fair to both partiesThis means that we are unable to offer refunds and must enforce an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industryWe have been in constant contact with [redacted] *** regarding this issue, but have been unable to reach an amicable resolutionWhile our management team is available to handle any additional concerns that [redacted] *** may have, we consider this matter closed

Thank you for reaching out to us and bringing this matter to our attentionOnline City Tickets values our customers and we would like to take the time to address Ms [redacted] concernsIt should be noted that Online City Tickets is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate tickets—instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellersMs [redacted] has stated that Online City Tickets does not state that it is a resale marketplace; this should be noted as inaccurateWhen Ms [redacted] visited our site, the homepage clearly states, “We are a resale marketplace, not a box office or venueTicket prices may exceed face valueThis site is not owned by Starlight Theater Kansas City.” Once Ms [redacted] selected her event, John Legend on 6/13/2017, she navigated to the ticket listing pageThe top of this page reiterates, “We are a resale marketplacePrices may exceed face valueThis site is not owned by any venue.” This information is further repeated on the checkout pageAfter Ms [redacted] selected the listing she was interested in, she continued to the final page of the checkout processHere customers are provided with an order summary that displays the event details, ticket location, and price per ticketMs [redacted] was prompted to provide an email address and select a delivery methodAfter a delivery method is selected, since methods vary in price, a new order total is calculatedTo adequately alert customers to this, enclosed by a blue box, the message, “Please note that your Total Charge has been updated” populatesAlthough Ms [redacted] has claimed that her order total including fees was not displayed, a complete itemized breakdown of Ms [redacted] order including the price per ticket, all fees, and the total price of $was displayed in bold text on the left-hand side of the pageThis information was fully disclosed before Ms [redacted] was prompted to enter any payment informationAs Ms [redacted] continued, she was presented with the bold message, “All sales are final” and was required to select a check box signifying her agreement to the terms and conditions listedMs [redacted] then selected the "Review Order" button below these termsOnce selected, she was taken to a review page which displayed Ms [redacted] payment information, order summary and provided an additional itemized cost breakdown of her orderMs [redacted] then proceeded to select "Confirm & Place Order" at which time her order was processed. As a secondary marketplace, Online City Tickets is not affiliated with any artist or venue and does not generate tickets as a primary box office; instead, we act as an intermediary between fans and ticket holdersThis means the tickets listed on our site are priced by individual sellers, not Online City Tickets, based on their determination of a range of factors including customer demandCustomers are informed that tickets may be above face value on every page of the checkout processSince tickets are owned by sellers, this also means that the majority of any tickets sold on our site go directly to the sellerThe service fee represents what Online City Tickets uses to maintain operation costs including operating the site, screening sellers to ensure valid tickets, and providing customer serviceSince our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both partiesThis means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry.Prior to receiving this claim Ms [redacted] contacted us via email to discuss her orderAt this time we clarified the above informationWe later received a dispute from Ms [redacted] financial institution regarding this transactionDue to the nature of the dispute process, we are unable to provide a resolution while the dispute remains openAs such, we consider this matter closed and encourage Ms [redacted] to contact her financial institution with any concerns regarding to the process or outcome of the dispute.Regards,Online City Tickets

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:? I told whomever I spoke to at customer service that my YEAR OLD SON had purchased the tickets.? He, being a minor, is legally not allowed to enter into a contract.? I do not know all the ins and out of everything that he had to "click" in order to purchase the tickets, but the company was called with an hour of the purchase that I HAD NOT APPROVED.? They have proved to be very unhelpful in this matter; every time I have emailed with them, even during a string of emails within minutes of each other, I have a different person responding - every time.? Seems like a cat and mouse game to me.They then told me that I should sell the tickets.? How on earth do I sell a ticket that:1.? Is a plain, gray credit card with NO markings - just numbers2.? No information at all on the card, no dates, seat numbers etc.3.? Last I checked, when you go to sell tickets either in person to someone or online (say at [redacted] ***), you MUST list seat numbers.? Not helpful. This company is completely ridiculous, has NO customer service - I can go on and on Sincerely, [redacted]

easy purchase quick delivery !! thank you !!

Thank you for getting back to usAs indicated in our previous response, the listing Ms [redacted] selected was clearly marked for Section: Bleachers 12, Row: A-CCThe following note was visible at multiple locations throughout the checkout process: "After you place your order and your order is confirmed, we guarantee that your tickets will be within the listed zone or section listed or one comparable and that you will receive these tickets in time for the event or your money back."Ms [redacted] was provided with tickets in Section 12, Row BBAs such, Online City Tickets provided the exact tickets she chose, and has fully adhered to the sales terms and conditions that Ms [redacted] agreed to prior to checking outIn response to Ms [redacted] concern about the service fee, it must be noted that the service fee is the only revenue that Online City Tickets generates from a transactionBased on a range of factors, the service fee covers all of our operational expenses, from payroll for the in-house customer service center to the cost of finding ticket sellers and verifying that their tickets are authentic and validDue to the transparency of our checkout process, we maintain that Ms [redacted] was not misled regarding the location of her ticketsThe tickets remain valid for entry, and we are unable to cancel or refund the orderWe did offer to provide a courtesy resolution to this matter, as part of our effort to assist Ms [redacted] with this issue beyond what is required by our sales terms and conditionsHowever, Ms [redacted] declined that resolutionIf Ms [redacted] would like to discuss a resolution or has any additional concerns, she is welcome to reach out to our customer service departmentAs it stands, we consider this matter closedRegards, Online City Tickets

I could not be more upset with a companyFirst of all, this company gets you to buy off of its website by phishing and redirects you to their company website, rather than the select a seat website while the page loads the new windowSecond, this website brags about all sort of guarantee's but has a clause that the guarantee's can't be refunds, exchanges, etcThird, I tried to call the number listed and all I got was an automated message telling me it couldn't find my orderFourth, I received my tickets extremely quickly, so quickly in fact that I looked at them right away to not to my surprise, the tickets had been tampered withThinking this was the case I experimented by trying to sell my tickets on stub hub knowing full well stub hub is great with recognizing fake tickets or tickets that do not existShocker: Stub hub could not recognize my bar code and the bar code, name, and price of the tickets had been whited out and the bar code had been replaced with a fake codeWhile I didn't pay an outrageous amount of money, I'm a college student and was buying these tickets as a gift for my momI'm super ticked that now I have to go through the process of making a claim with my bank, cancelling my credit card (which I need since I'll be going out of town in days) and I'm still out bucksI will definitely be taking legal action at some point with this companyTHIS IS FRAUD!!!!!

Thank you for reaching out in reference to the concerns of Ms***We appreciate the chance to address this matterOnline City Tickets operates on the secondary market, which means we do not own or generate tickets—instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellersTo this end, we are committed to providing the best possible customer service and maintaining a simple purchasing process.Ms [redacted] has indicated that she was provided misleading information regarding her tickets, though this is incorrectIt should be noted that no order can be placed without the customer having been told all pricing and ticket information prior to purchaseMs [redacted] stated that the seats she ordered with the sales agent over the phone were not what she requestedHowever, our records verify that the sales agent that placed this order on behalf of Ms [redacted] discussed with her a range of tickets listed on our site by sellers based on their available inventory based on her price range and seating preferencesThe sales agent discussed and reiterated the order details to which Ms [redacted] agreed to prior to placing the orderAdditionally, our sales terms and conditions were divulged to Ms [redacted] which included the “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industrySince we operate on the live market, the availability and prices of tickets frequently change, as is the case for any live market. When Ms***’s order was placed on 2/2/she was simply informed of the seating availability in regards to our site at this timeAs Ms [redacted] verbally agreed to her ticket selection and our sales terms and conditions, including our “all sales are final” policy, we consider this matter closedIf Ms [redacted] has any additional questions regarding her order, we encourage her to reach out to our customer service departmentRegards,Online City Tickets
