SUMMARY -
Optima Tax's management has made contact with the client to
discuss his concerns and...
the parties have come to a mutual resolution.
RESPONSE
-
Optima Tax’s management has made contact with the client to
discuss his claims, as stated in the complaint. It is truly unfortunate that
the client was not initially satisfied with the result of our investigation. For
clarification, Optima Tax’s services are divided into a two phase approach,
Investigation and Resolution. During our Investigation phase, Optima gathers
extensive information on the case, which is then presented to the client with
our proposed Resolution services.
Each
client that Optima Tax represents
will receive our agreement and go through a detailed, recorded, Verification
Call to assure that the client fully understands the services he has purchased.
Based off our conversation with the client, there was a misunderstanding as to
the services Optima Tax would
provide during the Investigation Phase. Although we do file tax returns on
behalf of our clients, we only offer those services during the Resolution
Phase. Misunderstanding aside, we are pleased to say that we provided the
client with various options that have been accepted and satisfy the client’s
concerns.
At Optima Tax we strive to uphold the philosophy that
"clients come first" and all of our representatives go through rigorous training to assure we abide by that
philosophy. We take all complaints very seriously, and we do our best to turn
them around when possible. Optima Tax
believes it has addressed the client's concerns appropriately and considers the
matter closed. Please do not hesitate to contact Optima
Tax with any questions. Thank you.

RESPONSE
-
Optima Tax’s management has made contact with the client to
discuss her claim as stated in the complaint. It is truly regrettable that the
client is unsatisfied with the end result of our investigation. In order to
clarify, Optima’s services are separated into a two phase approach,
Investigation and Resolution. During our Investigation, Optima gathered
extensive information which we presented to the client along with our proposed
Resolution services.
In most
cases, during the initial investigation, Optima Tax will discover that the
client’s case is more complex than our clients may realize. Moreover, Optima
uses the information it gathers during the investigation, to establish the
services that we will provide in the Resolution phase. Additionally, the IRS
will often enforce collection action on our clients and our investigation allows
us the opportunity to implement a stay of collections to assure our client’s
are protected. Although it may appear that the information we obtained was
virtually identical to the information the client had knowledge of, we ultimately
conducted a thorough investigation, as outlined in the Client Services
Agreement, and thus performed all of our obligations that the client enrolled
for. We have yet to finalize any resolution with the client; however, we are
confident that we will come to a mutually satisfying resolve.
At Optima Tax we strive to uphold the philosophy that
"clients come first" and all of our representatives go through rigorous training to assure we abide by that
philosophy. We take all complaints very seriously, and we do our best to turn
them around when possible. Optima Tax
will continue its efforts in resolving this unfortunate dispute until a
resolution is met. Thank you.
SUMMARY - Optima Tax's management is currently in communication with the client in an attempt to arrive at a mutually satisfactory agreement. RESPONSE - Optima Tax’s management has been in contact with the client to address the client’s concerns outlined in the complaint. As the client...
stated in his complaint, he hired Optima Tax Relief to represent them before the IRS, due to an outstanding tax liability. After completing our initial phase, the Investigation Phase, the client was presented with our findings and our formulated strategy to help resolve the case during our second phase, the Resolution Phase. Those services include but are not limited to IRS Representation, IRS Compliance and an Installment agreement based off the client’s affordability. After being presented with these options, the client ultimately signed up for the Resolution Phase. Prior to commencing the Resolution services, the client went through a voice recorded Verification Call. During this call, the client is provided a set of legal and contractual disclosures, and each disclosure requires the client’s affirmative confirmation that they understand before moving forward with the call. One of the disclosures covers, in detail, the services the client contractually agreed to. After reviewing the voice recorded Verification call, all disclosures were presented to the client and the client provided a “yes” answer to all legal disclosures. The client also provided a level 8 rating as to their level of understanding of the disclosures, with 10 being the highest rating a client can give. After reviewing the case, Optima Tax Relief fulfilled its contractual obligations outlined in the Resolution Servicing Addendum. The agreement in place brings his case to a final resolve with the IRS, and protects the client from the IRS implementing any enforcement action. It’s unfortunate that the client is less than satisfied with our services. However, we can say with the utmost confidence that Optima Tax Relief fully performed its obligations, and negotiated the best resolution with the IRS given the client’s financial circumstances. At Optima Tax we strive to uphold the philosophy that "clients come first" and all of our representatives go through rigorous training to assure we abide by that philosophy. We take all complaints very seriously, and we do our best to turn them around when possible. Optima Tax believes it has addressed the client's concerns appropriately and considers the matter closed. Please do not hesitate to contact Optima Tax with any questions. Thank you. .

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The $2,500 refund is inadequate. The complaint speaks for itself. I decline the offer but will accept a $10,000 settlement.

This is a canned response. I have been sent to 5 different levels now with no resolution. [redacted] is the rep at level 4 that I was dealing with and she never returns a phone call. Horrible customer service, lies, and scare tactics. My wife is also a client and will be filing a complaint as well.

My experience with Optima Tax relief was very pleasant and far and above my expectations.

RESPONSE
-
Optima Tax’s management has made
contact with the client to discuss his concerns as outlined in the complaint. Optima
Tax is disappointed that the client has experienced a certain level of
frustration with our services but we have presented an option to the client
that will allow us to continue servicing their personal case. We are pleased
that the client was able to resolve his business liability; however, this does
not negate the fact that Optima Tax performed a vast amount of effort to
resolve the client’s business liability. Throughout
the course of our services, the client was prompt in providing the requested
documents. The assigned tax professional was prompt in sending the necessary documents
to the assigned Revenue Officer. After repeated attempts to get in touch with
the Revenue Officer to discuss the case, the tax professional received a
message from the IRS that they lost the requested documents. The tax professional
immediately resent the information. Thereafter, the tax professional, again,
made repeated attempts to reach the Revenue Officer, with no success. We can
provide a log of our attempts upon request.
As
we continued our attempts to contact the Revenue Officer, the client was very
diligent in sending in any requested or updated documents. While sending in the
requested documents, the assigned team was also preparing documents to satisfy
the client’s personal liability. Although the Revenue Officer was proving to be
unreachable, we took the initiative and contacted their Automated Collect Servicing
unit to determine what could be done to help expedite a resolution of the
liability. Yes, we did present the client what appears to be the same figures
as when the client initially signed up. However, had the Revenue Officer been
more responsive to our actions, we are confident we would have achieved the
same outcome the client was able to achieve outside our services.
We
believe that the option we presented the client is reasonable in comparison to
our efforts to help resolve his business matter. More importantly, it will
allow us to continue our relationship and help resolve his personal liability.
We assured the client that the assigned team will be extremely diligent in
handling the case and will seek the best possible outcome.
At
Optima Tax we strive to uphold the
philosophy that "clients come first" and all of our representatives
go through rigorous training to
assure we abide by that philosophy. We take all complaints very seriously, and
we do our best to turn them around when possible. Optima
Tax believes it has addressed the client's concerns
appropriately and considers the matter closed.
Please
do not hesitate to contact Optima Tax with any questions. Thank you.
I was given a quote at the beginning of the process happy to say there were no hidden costs at the end. All of my questions were answered promptly and professionally. Great outcome at the end of the process. Thanks Optima.

I have reviewed the response made by the business, in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action may or may not resolve my complaint. At this time, no formal offer has been made to me and only general concepts have been suggested to resolve this matter making the statement is factually inaccurate. Due to my past experience with misleading statements, like the response above, I am reluctant to believe any progress will be made and this may only be a public relations charade. However, the latest attempts at reconciliation appear to be genuine and I anticipate further discussions that I hope remain focused on a solution. I am hopeful that this situation can be resolved amicably but at this time no substantive offer has been made for me to accept or reject.

Optima was able to reduce my monthly obligation to a very satisfactory and significant level. I found all their personnel to be very helpful and professional, calls were always returned promptly and answers supplied timely. I was overall very satisfied with my Optima experience.
SUMMARY - Optima Tax's management has been in contact with the client and we are please to state that we have come to a mutual resolve. RESPONSE - Optima Tax’s management established communication with the client to address their concerns as outlined in the complaint. As the client stated,...
she hired Optima Tax Relief to represent her before the IRS in order to assist her with an outstanding tax liability. Optima Tax utilizes a two phase approach to its service, an Investigation Phase and a Resolution Phase. Here, the client was enrolled into our Investigation Phase, where Optima Tax was conducting a thorough Investigation into the client’s tax liability. Those services were rendered in full as outlined in the agreement. Once the team completed the Investigation the client was presented with our findings as well as our formulated strategy to help resolve her case in our next phase, the Resolution Phase. After reviewing the call between the Tax Associate and the client, at no point did they advise the client that Optima Tax would reduce the debt during the Investigation Phase. The Tax Associate did advise the client that Optima Tax would look into all possibilities of reducing the balance but no promise or guarantees were made. However, there was some miscommunication by the Tax Associate as to the length of any payment arrangement with Optima Tax for our services. It is also the Tax Associate’s duty to inform the client of any potential actions the IRS may take to collect the outstanding tax debt. Those actions include, but are not limited to, wage garnishments and bank levies. The Tax Associate was correct in advising the client of those potential actions. We are delighted to hear that the client was able to resolve her tax liability with the IRS. It’s unfortunate that the client was not pleased with the outcome of the Investigation even though those services were rendered in full. Thank you.
This place is so unprofessional ! Talked with "Alex" tonight . Little girl... Got a REHEARST speech on why they had entitlement to take 3200.00 dollars from us !
My husband has cancer and is on medications which alter clear thinking . We had a tax problem and unknown to me he hired Optima. When I found out he already paid them close to 1000 dollars. I spoke with optima and told them my husbands situation. Told them Never to speak with him- only me .... They never contacted me on anything but they kept contacting my husband! I would have NEVER approved to pay them more -but my husband did . Out 3200 dollars ... We need that money !

There was a bit of a communication issue when I found out half way thru the process that Optima would not be taking care of my delinquent state tax issues. That being said my Federal tax issues were resolved with a greater than 99% savings with acceptance of my offer of compromise. My Federal tax issues were resolved beyond my expectations and I would highly re commend Optima for your Federal tax needs.

The information that Optima is not accurate. I asked for a new case manager and was not given one that was issued three weeks after beginning with them.
I also called Jason three times in one week no response.
I also called Andy many times and no response
They did offer me a 2400.00 refund of the 6800.00 I paid them and that will not be accepted. I have connected media and attorney and I have to move there I am preparing to do so. Also for 4 weeks I have requested my tax returns and all forms that I sent them to be returned and they have also refused to return MY property. They have 10 days to get me a full refund and my property are I will pull off all stops

Optima Tax Relief helped me in a major way. The process took some time but I was informed of what to expect, including any fees, documentation that would be required and the approximate duration of my case before I even signed on for the service. Each step of the process was outlined and I was assigned a rep for each step who walked me through the process with ease. Of course, with any tax related issue where money is owed, there is always anxiety but I must say that towards the end of the process, my rep at the time was a SUPER helpful man named Brandon who answered any questions I had and basically held my hand until completion of the process. Optima saved me almost 75% of what the IRS was asking me to pay.
Overall we had a very positive outcome and service with Optima. They are very responsive, answer calls and emails and really do their best to make their customers happy. I think people need to be realistic though and don't expect a miracle...if you genuinely owe the money, they definitely do all they can to get you a reasonable payment. Not everything is in their control but they are very thorough and do their absolute best for you. I got frustrated at times but that's because this is a stressful situation to be in, not because of anything they as a company lacked. At times I heavily challenged my case manager and she always kept her composure and gave me the answers I was looking for, when I am sure she didn't want to deal with me anymore..lol. They reduced our monthly payment by $2500 a month and stopped all collection activity against our property, paychecks, and bank accounts. They definitely did what we were not able to accomplish on our own, we are very grateful!! Even after our case was closed, I called and needed a favor and they did it immediately and got it accomplished within 48hours. We are glad we chose this company and would recommend them!
