Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:Someone from the school did reach out to me today and advised she will be calling back on Monday. They did not offer me the NCLEX review and CPNE courses. I paid in full for those courses. Like I advise the representative today. I have no interest in furthering my studies after completing the associate in nursing with [redacted]. Thus that option of an offset does not benefit me in any way.I stand by my first complaint. The mistake was made my Achieve Test prep and they should honor it. If that mistake was made my me I would have been held to it. I think it is really important the way business is done by this company becomes exposed and I will make sure it happens regardless of the outcome of this situation.  The material is way off from [redacted] college. I did a better job studying on my own.

While I understand the stipulations for a refund were outlined in the initial contract, I still feel that if you did not receive the services (for whatever reason), I do not feel it is fair or reasonable to withhold over half of the payment made for cancelling the contract. Again, the only "classes" she took was an introductory orientation class therefore she has absolutely nothing useful for her education.  After the minimal refund, we are out $2,600.  We are not satisfied with the outcome and would not recommend Achieve Test Prep to anyone under any circumstance.

We regret any frustration this student experienced. Although we became aware of this complaint later, our customer service manager spoke to this student on 9/23/2016 and was able to address and resolve the student’s concerns. The student has advised us that after speaking with the customer service...

manager that she contacted the Revdex.com to confirm that we have come to an amicable resolution. We would never claim that our program is mandatory for admission to any college. In fact, our students find that using credit-by-exam with the support of our live instructor led courses makes their college path easier and quicker. We have spoken to the student again to confirm she is happy with our handling of her complaint, and we hope that the student will consider taking courses with us in the future when the timing is better for her.

We are sorry to learn of this student’s complaint. Our Customer Service Manager reached out to this customer to better understand her complaint and address her concerns, and we believe we have come to an amicable resolution. After speaking with the customer, we did a thorough review our files....

During the initial interview, the Director of Admissions explained to the customer that we do have part time options available for teacher assistants and that based on the interview, she would be recommending our Director of Education to hire her as a Teacher Assistant. The Director of Admissions explained to the customer that she can choose to be paid an hourly rate, and that the hours fluctuate each week based on the needs of each instructor. The Director of Admissions also explained that if she is interested in becoming an RN, there is another option for students to instead receive a grant towards their program tuition. The Director of Admissions asked the customer if she had any goals of becoming an RN, and the customer said yes. The Director of Admissions then asked the customer if she would prefer to be paid an hourly rate if hired or if she would prefer to enroll and use a grant towards the cost of tuition. The student said she prefers to enroll and use the grant to offset the cost of tuition. In summary, it is not a requirement to enroll in order to be hired as a Teacher Assistant, and we have employed Teacher Assistants who are not students. This student chose the option of enrolling after both options were presented to her. In regards to the customer’s complaint about the financing, we do regret if the third party credit union did not communicate with her in a timely manner. We are in the process of investigating this issue, as normally our credit union applicants do get a timely response from the credit union directly. We regret any frustration this may have caused the student. However, we do have many financing options including a guaranteed student loan. We cannot promise any applicant will be approved by the credit union, but students do have many options for financing their tuition. This student did request to withdraw on 10/21/2016. Under no legal obligation to do so, we made a decision to compromise on the contractual obligation before we learned of this complaint, and the student agreed to this arrangement on 10/25/2016. Achieve Test Prep is an independent company, and we do not claim to be affiliated with any school. The services which the student purchased are outlined in the enrollment agreement and are available to the student. The student did receive the tuition grant as promised. She has chosen to withdraw instead and has confirmed her withdrawal. This customer is welcome to re-apply for any open position for which she qualifies and choose the hourly pay option in her application rather than a tuition grant.

I am rejecting this response because:
They are not being truthful. One of their people called me a year after I advised them I was not ready to test. I hope that other students are advised ahead of time through the Revdex.com or anyway possible about the poor service and untruthful people they will be working with. They did not hold up there end of the contract. They did not return calls and they admitted to me that they could see where I was not contacted etc. This is a travesty and I hope no other unsuspecting people give their money to this company.

At Achieve Test Prep, we provide personalized service to our students to help them meet their academic goals. We understand that on occasion, students may experience a concern during the process. We value the opportunity to apply the feedback from these concerns to improve the overall experience of...

our students.Based on this student's background and future goals, a personalized degree plan report was created for this student.  Contrary to statements in this complaint, the student's degree plan report identified seven college options in [redacted] that accept credit-by-examination for general education courses for which Achieve Test Prep offers test prep.  These offerings would prepare the student to test out of required courses or exams to help accelerate the student's path to becoming a RN.  A meeting to discuss the findings occurred on 7/13/17, after which the student wanted to take time to think through the options presented. On 8/22/17, the student called and expressed some concerns.  A meeting was arranged with a specialist to address the concerns and took place two days later.  Further college options were discussed and conversations between the student and specialists continued for several weeks. We welcome the opportunity to continue our diligent efforts to resolve the matter with this student.

Achieve Test Prep offers positive support in all interactions with students to help them achieve their academic goals.   We are responsive to students' concerns and make it a priority to address all concerns in a timely manner.  At the time this student's transcripts were received, a call was immediately scheduled and held the next day to review them and discuss which classes in which she could immediately enroll.  This student had the option of enrolling in Achieve's classes before or after completing the other required prerequisites for which credit-by-examination is not available and must be taken with the college. When Achieve Test Prep was contacted by the student with scheduling concerns, we made several different recommendations to the student to help resolve her concerns.   We even offered to place her enrollment "on hold" until her work schedule became less demanding, and she could focus on her classes.  We believe we offer our students flexible class schedule options, which are available for viewing 24x7 before or after enrollment on our website (www.achievetestprep.com).   In addition, although our students love to participate in our live virtual classes, if ever a student misses a class, we offer a recording of the missed class session. We will continue our attempts to connect with this student and work toward an amicable resolution.

I am rejecting this response because:
As I had said in an earlier transmission, I did try getting in contact with ATP.  They said they would respond within 48 hours and did not.  That is when I reached out to Revdex.com.  All I want is my money refunded to me.  They continue to charge me for services not rendered.  Even if you go to an Ivy league school you would only pay for courses you have taken.  You don't pay for an item then wait until the  organization feels its appropriate to give it to you - it makes no sense.  They are ridiculous.  Like I told them, I just want out.  Charge me for the courses I did take, I understand that, but give me my money back for the courses I was not allowed to take.  This is not a lot to ask for.  When I failed my test, no one, absolutely no one contact me regarding any further tutoring, or anything of the sort.  But, they still want more money.  When I contacted them in the past, I was told they could not stop the payments.  This is why I reached out to you, the Revdex.com.  I need help.  This is ridiculous already. However, I must say, I Bridgette from ATP, has been reaching out to me.  We've been playing phone tag, but I scheduled a telephone meeting with her for January 7th.  Which was the earliest date she had available, (December was all booked up) which tells me a lot. Please help me.

We understand that this student became frustrated when [redacted] State University (ISU) changed their policy of accepting credit-by-examination for English Composition for the LPN to BSN program and with the technical difficulties she experienced when attempting to register for ATP’s courses using...

her phone.   We also understand that she became frustrated when we advised during her education plan meeting to begin with prerequisite courses for ISU’s program instead of starting with other courses. However, we did respond and address these concerns in a timely manner. Our records show that the student had technology issues when attempting to use ATP’s student portal on her phone and that the issues were resolved when she logged in using her computer instead. Also, we sent a simple swap form to this student for swapping into the prerequisite courses for no additional charge, but the student never signed and submitted the swap form.  We advised this student of ISU’s change of policy regarding English Composition even though all of the courses on her enrollment agreement are still being offered and are still eligible for credit-by-examination.  Shortly thereafter, the student contacted Academic Affairs and informed us that she wanted to switch from BSN courses to ASN courses.  A new enrollment agreement was generated and sent to this student for signature, and this updated enrollment agreement was never returned.  Instead, the student decided to withdraw from ATP’s program.  During our withdrawal meeting with the student, we agreed to postpone the withdrawal and take some time to search for additional college programs that may meet her needs. Although we still believe either the ASN or BSN programs already outlined for the student are great options, the student has chosen to withdraw and we can finalize her request in accordance with the terms outlined in the enrollment agreement.

This student enrolled on 8/4/2016 and submitted a withdraw request on 8/5/2016. Per our standard procedure, we contacted the student on 8/5/2016 to address her request. The earliest available appointment was on 8/12/2016, which was unacceptable to the student. When we learned that the student was...

upset, our customer service manager immediately reached out to the student to resolve this matter ahead of schedule. After exchanging messages, we have resolved this matter as of 8/11/2016, and the student's contractual refund has been processed. We have confirmed that the student is satisfied and agrees that we have taken all steps to address and resolve her complaint.

Achieve Test Prep seeks to provide personalized attention in all interactions with students to help them achieve their academic goals.  Our desire is for each student to receive a thorough review of his/her educational plan, and careful detail is given to the student's career path.  A...

degree plan report was offered to this student, which takes into consideration the student's goals and then matches these goals to at least four colleges that fit student-specific criteria.  This student did not take advantage of this complimentary service built into each program.  A management member did initially contact the student and spoke briefly with her about this matter; however, the student requested a scheduled call back at a later date.  An Achieve Test Prep manager and the student did reconnect to discuss this matter further. While the student seems to still be eligible to continue her original path, we have offered to re-package her program, providing several options to her, at no extra charge. We are working diligently with this student to resolve this matter and hope we can continue to assist with her career goals.

I am rejecting this response because: the Chemistry class was not delayed just due to illness I was given the wrong date and that date was posted o. My account I have screen shots. It was not changed until after the supposed end date because I told the teacher and she had to contact them. So I was out 2 weeks on their mistake. Anatomy and Phisiology has been canceled three times once was Achives lack of having someone available for technical difficulties on Sundays the other two were instructors emergencies. The delays were not due to holidays. Those were incorporated already in the end date. Yes you can ask for a class recording but that does not do you much good when the last class is after your scheduled exam. And I paid for live instruction why should I settle for a recording that I cannot ask questions or get clarification. And a minimal fee to reschule exams? I shouldnt have to pay it at all at this was the schools fault not mine why should I pay for their mistakes?  The is bad business practice. And as for taking another course with them to make up for their mistake I saying I needed Spanish? I need no other courses and if I did after my experiences with them I would most likely not cancel! It is insulting that they think I should pay for mistakes they make.

We regret that [redacted] was not 100% satisfied with her
Achieve Test Prep experience. Before enrolling, we disclosed to [redacted] that
the state of ** Board of Nursing has specific requirements for [redacted] graduates who apply for a nursing license in that state. These
requirements...

were discussed in detail and are also available on the college’s
website. If [redacted] had additional questions or concerns about this, we
regret that she did not ask us before enrolling or invoke her right to cancel
within 72 hours under the terms of the enrollment agreement. [redacted] signed
up for 1 course and attended the class. Although she has decided not to pursue
her degree through [redacted] due to the restrictions in her state,
Achieve Test Prep has offered for her to swap out of the course she is
attending and into any course that she could apply towards a degree at the
college of her choice. [redacted] informed us that she is no longer interested
in pursuing an LPN to RN bridge program. Again we are sorry that [redacted] has
chosen not to continue. She purchased and attended 1 course, and we believe
that our offer to swap her into another course for no additional charge is a
fair resolution to this matter.

After this student’s withdrawal was finalized, we promptly notified [redacted] to close the student’s account as it was no longer delinquent.  As a courtesy to this student, we also requested that any negative remarks be removed from any credit bureau reporting.   We regret any confusion the...

student had about the enrollment agreement terms that indicate that the guaranteed financing would be activated when no personal funding is provided.    We believe that this student is satisfied with the processing of her withdrawal request, and we wish her well.

[redacted] enrolled with Achieve Test Prep on 4/28/2015 for a 17 course package towards her BSN degree. [redacted] took an Ethics course with ATP and passed the corresponding exam. [redacted] also took a Speech course with ATP, but she has not attempted the exam at this time. [redacted]...

contacted ATP on 11/30/2015 to request a payment hold due to personal financial difficulties. She spoke with a representative in our finance office on 12/1/2015 who tried to make arrangements for a reduced payment plan with [redacted]. [redacted] said she would not be able to pay anything that month, and we decided to let her skip her December payment. We called and left her a voice message and then sent her an email confirmation confirming this arrangement on 12/9/2015. We informed [redacted] in the email and on the voice message that her regular payment would resume in January. It appears that [redacted] did not receive our email, perhaps due to the spam filter on her [redacted]. We are sorry that [redacted] is frustrated with her payments, and we are working very hard to come to an agreement that meets her needs. We have since offered [redacted] an extended period of reduced payments. We have also offered to modify her existing contract to allow lower monthly payments so that she can continue with her courses. We have offered to allow her to retake her Speech course for no additional charge, and also outline an alternate program option towards her ASN degree. The withdraw procedures have been re-explained to [redacted] in the event that she wishes to end her enrollment with ATP. We hope [redacted] finds our efforts satisfactory and that we can come to a resolution that meets or exceeds her expectations.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:As I mentioned in the complaint , I missed only 2 classes and I received the recorded classes for that. As I failed on the test , [redacted] college put me on probation. I don't want to take a chance. The test questions model from the Achieve test prep are entirely different from the actual test by [redacted] Now I found that this company is a scam (from [redacted]). I am not satisfied by their response.
