July 24, 2014 Roman"> RevDex.com of Washington DC and Eastern Pennsylvania 1337 North Front Street Harrisburg, PA 17102 RE: [redacted] Case: [redacted] Penn Credit takes pride in following all Federal and State Collection calls. Please be advised our client [redacted] placed an account in our office for collection on May 12, 2014, any prior conversations [redacted] might have had last year were not with Penn Credit. The account in question was placed in our office for a [redacted] with a social security number with the last 4 numbers of ***, with a mailing address in Maryland. We were supplied a new address for [redacted] with the same SS #, which matches the address on the BBB complaint. In cases such as these it is my experience two things could have happened, we fact the correct person or person is a possible victim of fraud due to I. D Theft. I have disputed the account in my office as a dispute due to possible fraud and have notified my client of the same. I will forward more information through the BBB once I receive it from my client. Thank you for your assistance in the resolution of this matter Sincerely, Timothy F [redacted] Collections Manager

I have reviewed and investigated the complaintThe consumer did state that she wanted proof of signature and without refused paymentAccording to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA); outright refusal to pay is the same as reqesting a cease communicationPenn Credit did honor that request on August 12, immediately after the conversation Penn Credit will not be contact or communicating with [redacted] in reference to this debt; however, it does not stop the original creditor from future collection efforts If [redacted] would like to discuss the matter further please have her contact Thomas P [redacted] , Vice President directly toll free ###-###-#### or email him at tom.p [redacted] @penncredit.comThank you for your assistance in the resolution of this matter

Penn Credit did review and investigate the complaint and agree that [redacted] did send a letter and our original notice back stating the money wasn’ owed The balance owed is penalty and interest according to our records Since [redacted] has stated in his complaint he isn’t paying and does not want any additional follow up I have honored his request and placed a status on the account to not attempt to collect the debt any furtherHowever, [redacted] must know that this will not stop the original creditor from attempting to collect the debt if they so wish If [redacted] would like to discuss thematter further please have him contact Thomas Perrotta directly toll free ###-###-#### or email him at [redacted] @penncreditcom
