Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 10794388, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
However, their practice of indiscriminately carpet bombing your home phone with repeated calls without ryhme or reason is illegal and MUST be changed In these robo-calls, Penn Credit leaves no way for a consumer to respond and correct their record so these harrassing calls might end.

*** ***

RE: *** * ***
Case: ***
Please be advised
that Penn Credit takes pride in following all Federal and State collection
laws.
*** placed an outstanding account in our office on
October 24, 2013; we are the second collection agency to attempt to collect on
the outstanding balance. The required
validation notice was mailed to *** *** on October 28, to the same
mailing address listed as *** ***’s Revdex.com compliant. A second letter was mailed to the same
address on December 9, 2013. We did not
receive a response to either letter from *** *** or a response from the Post
Office stating we had an incorrect address.
Per our contract with ***, Penn Credit started
reporting the account as an outstanding balance to the three major credit
reporting agencies on December 5, 2013.
Penn Credit sent multiple updates to the three major credit reporting
agencies during the time period the account was in our office.
We were notified by our client *** on October 10,
that the account was paid in full directly to them. We sent notification to the three major
credit reporting agencies on October 16, 2014, October and October 30,
that the account was paid in full.
*** *** contacted our office on October 17,
requesting the account be removed from his credit report, the agent explained
that the account would not be removed but updated to a paid collection
account. *** *** contacted our
office on October 24, and spoke to a manager who explained the credit
reporting process, and when we first reported the account as outstanding to the
three major credit bureaus. *** ***
called our office later in the day on October 24, and spoke to another
agent who confirmed the same information he was provided prior. *** *** then requested copies of the
letters we sent to him in October and December of 2013. The agent correctly explained to *** ***
that we do not keep copies of all the standard collection notices we send to
consumers.
As a credit reporting
agency Penn Credit must report actual information and pursuant the FCRA we
can’t delete negative reporting because an account was paidIf *** *** can
provide additonal information outlining a legitimate dispute I would be happy
to review to determine if we can remove the tradeline from his credit report Thank
you for your assistance in the resolution of this matter
Sincerely,
Timothy F*

Our client *** placed an outstanding balance in our office on 6/3/for the book The New ABS diet that was ordered on July 27, 2013.
We spoke to *** on 6/30/where our agent explained why we were attempting to contact him. He informed the agent that he never ordered the item and he would not pay for something he did not order.
The agent placed the account in a dispute status and we are in the process of sending the account back to our client as a dispute.
