Please be advised that *** agreed to pay a past due balance of $7,via a debit card on Saturday July 5, 2014.
The payment was processed on July 7, for the correct total amount of $7329.81, but was broken into transactions, for $and a second one for $6829.81. This was discovered after a manager discussed the situation with *** contacted our office on July 8, 2014.

Penn Credit reviewed and investigated the complaint Please be advised that I pulled the telephone recording between *** *** and our telephone representative that occurred on June 20, 2017. *** *** informed our representative that she was on a payment plan with the
original creditor and was surprised the account was placed in our office for collections. Our representative explained that while he doesn’t know the reason it was placed in our office, it may be due to a missed or late payment. When asked by *** *** if the original creditor would pull the account from collections, she was advised it’s possible, however the original creditor may refer her back to our agencyThe representative did confirm that she could contact the original creditor directly to verify the reason the accounts were placed in our office. *** *** decided that wasn’t necessary and proceeded to setup a payment plan to resolve the debt. *** *** decided to remit payment via mail to avoid the processing fee and because the payment plan she entered wasn’t an available option offered on our website (free of charge) On June 26, 2017, *** *** contacted Penn Credit notifying us that she put a stop payment to the check and that the original creditor would be closing the accounts from our office On June 27, 2017, the original creditor closed the accounts from Penn Credit. I reached out to the original creditor and verified the reason the accounts were closed from Penn Credit was due to being sent in error. Although Penn Credit remained compliant, I made the decision to waive the $bad check fee due to the circumstances. Please be advised that Penn Credit doesn’t know the status of the account(s) since they were cancelled from our office. *** *** will need to contact the original creditor directly regarding the matter. Please advise *** *** to contact me directly should he have any questions or concerns. My direct line is *** *** ***, or he can email me at ***

Penn Credit has been doing collections for the City of *** *** for the last several years. They placed the account in question in our office on July 21, 2014, and the required validation notice was mailed on July 22, 2014.
I have requested verification of their claim from the city and will forward to the Revdex.com once I receive. I have placed the account on hold which will stop all collection actions until *** *** has a chance to review the information.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 10794388, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. However, their practice of indiscriminately carpet bombing your home phone with repeated calls without ryhme or reason is illegal and MUST be changed In these robo-calls, Penn Credit leaves no way for a consumer to respond and correct their record so these harrassing calls might end.
Regards,
