They were very professional, thank you for doing the verification to close this

I have reviewed and investigated the complaint
Penn Credit does have record of letter being received from *** *** concerning the debt stating that he does not owe the bill and that he purchased the car from his father; unofrtunately the addresses did not match and due to security issues we
could not process the request for a wrong partyI was able to verify by the account balance that *** *** provided in the complaint
*** *** needs to provide a form *** and provide it to the countyIf he did purchase from his father and has that form completed the amount owed would be $plus applicable interest to date
I have disputed the account and will cease collection efforts until *** *** has had an opportunity to provide the information requried to resolve his concerns
If *** *** has any additonal questions or wants to discuss further please have him contact Thomas P***, Vice President direclty toll free ###-###-#### or email him at ***@penncredit.com

Penn Credit reviewed and investigated the complaint. Please be advised that Penn Credit did not refuse to respond to *** ***’s complaints filed through the CFPB. Please see Penn Credit’s latest response to her CFPB complaint regarding the matter Please be advised that Penn
Credit has not violated any laws pertaining to the handling of this account Penn Credit did not have communication with the consumer prior to receiving the original CFPB complaint dated 9/28/ Upon receipt of the complaint Penn Credit noted the account as receiving a dispute and cease communication and flagged the account as such ceasing all further communication except the providing of the validation requested Second, as part of the investigation, Penn Credit requested validation of the debt from the original creditor, which was received on October 18, and promptly sent to the consumer at her address provided in the complaint and it was not returned(Please see attached document validation of debt) Penn Credit did update the dispute to the credit bureau as outlined by both the FDCPA & FCRA on September 28, We have the electronic verification if requiredApparently, the bureaus did not update promptly, and credit reporting agencies have no way to verify the update until the consumer contacts us againUpon receiving the second complaint, Penn Credit sent another electronic update to the credit bureaus notifying them of the disputed status In review, Pennsylvania does not have a collection agency license requirement, so one is not availableFurthermore, Penn Credit does not own the debt, we are strictly a contingent fee agency, so a letter of assignment and ownership is non-existent Please advise the consumer, if the validation provided (copy attached) does not meet her needs, to please contact Thomas P*** at ###-###-#### or email me at ***@penncredit.com I appreciate your assistance in the resolution of this matter

Attached you will find a copy of the breakdown that was sent to *** in March of 2013. The breakdown will show the why PPL still shows an outstanding balance.
If *** has any documentation that would support her claim that the balance is invalid I would have to forward it to my client to have them research her claim
I have placed ***’s account in our office in a hold status to allow her time to provide the documentation needed to research her dispute.
Thank you for your assistance in the resolution of this matter
