Peoria Ford Reviews (170)

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will forward all my previous email correspondence with Peoria Ford to the email address provided by Pat Hickey for further review of my concerns.  I will wait until for Peoria Ford to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Regards,

delayed response?  Ten months delayed and yet you still didn't address the fact that he repeatedly lied to me nor the fact that I spoke with you eight months ago and you assured me you would issue a formal apology.  Your business practices have been called into question Sir. I sincerely hope you use this as a learning experience moving forward. People do not like to be harassed nor do they appreciate being lied to by a salesman. One more thing you did not address is the fact that Mr D[redacted] called me not once but several times and then became rude when I told him he had already called and that I had already told him we were not interested. Not only was he ride but he lied to me and called me at 9:00pm. Some of us work for a living Sir. I get up at 4:30am. So I reject this apology of yours for what it was worth. Three lines of text, one of which included that salespeople must be motivated, is insufficient. Should you deem it the responsible thing to do to write and Mail a hand signed apology, I will then accept it.

On 4/20/2014 Peoria Ford advertised over the radio a brand new Ford Escape for $17,999. We traveled to Peoria Ford and told the sales person that we were there because we heard the add over the radio about the For Escape. The sales person, [redacted], took us inside sat us down, and proceeded to take our contact info and specifications. I said again, we are here to see the advertised over the radio Ford Escape $17,999. The rep then took us out side and started showing us non-Ford cars that were not in our price range. Again, we said we are here to see the advertised Ford Escape. Then he took us to some second hand Ford escapes that were well above the $17,999 price. Again, I said we are here to see the advertised Ford Escape. The rep then goes inside and brings back another rep, the only difference being that this was a "new cars" representative. We were walked to the new Ford escapes but not the $17,999. Again, we told them that we were here to see the advertised Ford Escape. The rep said, let me just go see if we have one available, and then walked off. By that time we knew full well that the radio add was just a ploy to get people into the dealership.
The worst customer service and advertising ever. Shame on them and shame on the entire car dealership industry.

Let the public beware. Service at a Peoria Ford leaves a lot to be desired. I have a 2013 F150. It was purchased at Peoria Ford so I figured they should be the ones to service it. Terrible mistake. Almost everything that has ever been done to this vehicle had to be done at least twice. Sometimes three, four, or even five times. To say sorry and to assure a "good" survey, I was bought out with free oil changes. After seven buy outs, ( yes seven free oil changes due me ) I finally had enough. I decided to take the next Ford survey and tell the truth about the dealership and the service I had received. Funny, the next time I took my truck in for service, I was met by the service manager and asked not to return. He advised me my survey was negative and I was no longer welcome at their dealership . I smiled and said it wasn't a negative survey , just an honest one. And besides, to prove a point, I reminded him of the 7 free oil changes I had due me.I told them they could buy me out of them for cash and they did. I received a check for $245.00 to cover their inadequacies in service personnel. I do not recommend this service department under any circumstances.

RUN, do not walk…..STAY AWAY from PEORIA FORD.

BEWARE.....This Peoria Ford dealership is HORRIBLE and this was the WORST car buying experience we have ever had. Watch your ID security!

DO NOT believe the false advertising as being the #1 dealership….it is ONLY because they TELL you how to answer the Ford survey.

During our over 6 hours of "haggling", we were TOLD by 3 different people on "HOW TO FILL OUT THE FORD SURVEY" so that they would not be docked $200 pay and can maintain an excellent rating. Now, I am an honest person and resent being TOLD what to say. I am not one to lie about my experience, as I do not wish our experience on anyone else.

To start...we had pre-selected a vehicle through the internet sales, which was in stock. We came into the dealership and were greeted pleasantly enough. Unfortunately, the car we came in for seemed to be nowhere on the many lots that they have. After 2 hours of searching, while driving around in another car, low and behold, the vehicle that we came in for was suddenly found. Needless to say, the sales strategy worked as we had already fallen in love with the vehicle we were in.

Don't get me wrong, we LOVE our new Mustang, even though the SYNC has never been activated by the dealer and we are still trying to learn about its features!!!! It was the way that we were treated in the over 6.5 hours at the dealership. After having to "Haggle" over the payments and internet pricing; Feeling VERY PRESSURED, we finally made it to financing.

Where is our ID security? Our bankcard was held hostage while we were with sales and the information had been photocopied. When it came time to sign our contract----it contained another customer’s information. I have to wonder who had our information when they went in for their finance time.

Once our contract was corrected, we were then provided the "extended warranty & gap insurance" info. This was such a "rip-off"!! We had purchased a vehicle, at another dealership several months previously with full coverage gap and maintenance. Peoria Ford could not come anywhere near being able to meet that coverage & cost. We opted for no additional coverage.

So we finally left with our new car and papers in hand, only to be called the next evening to find that the finance guy was unable to “find” our credit union to run our financing. Really?!?! This is a well know credit union where our interest rate was guaranteed.

So the next day, we had to take time out of work to go secure our own financing at the credit union, without any issues. Other than the time we had to take from work, this trip to the credit union was a blessing, as they were able to better our payment and meet the additional warranty/gap coverage that compares to our other vehicle.

Please be careful of the false advertising and gimmicks to get you in the door.

BUYER BEWARE….you have been warned!

The company sold me a car and 7 days later the brakes had a malfunction (not the dealerships fault I know). I towed the car into the dealership and they are now holding my car hostage until they get a paper from the finance company(has been mailed 11 days ago and still haven't received it). They have promised me a new car but at this point I do not believe that I am getting on. I have been in a rental car for a few days and I just want my car back. I told them I have an appointment for some modifications on Monday and they told me "you cannot modify the car since you don't own it yet..." I have owned the car for a week......... or so I thought... My family has purchased 4 vehicles from this dealership in the last 2 years (3 recent vehicles: raptor and 2 mustangs).. I find this ridiculous that they let me drive the car off the lot and then when it breaks- they wont give it back because THEY sold me a car without this paper.

[redacted] attempted to purchase a vehicle and was turned down because of 2 factors,(1.)lncome not verifying as stated on the credit app Ms. [redacted] filled out, and (2.) massive inequity on her trade-in.

Several banks were submitted due to the customers past payment history and...

credit rating. Peoria Ford made an all out effort to try to obtain financing.  Due to the poor credit, mis-information, and massive inequity, every bank turned down the loan. Ms. [redacted] was returned to her original status and any and all monies were promptly returned. The length of time was exaggerated due to the mis-information on the credit app and the dealership trying to secure a loan with the information that was finally verified. We apologize that we were unable to secure a loan, yet we exhausted every option available to Peoria Ford. If any further questions or explanations are needed please don't hesitate to respond.

Dear Ms. [redacted],

I just wanted to take a moment to let you know we have received your complaint through the Revdex.com and will be researching the particulars over the course of the next few days.  After we have had a chance to gather the facts, we will be back in touch with you...

Monday or Tuesday to discuss.  In the interim, if you would please forward the names of any contacts you have been in conversation with or received correspondence from to our Controller, Dave W[redacted] (dw[redacted]@vtaig.com), that will help significantly.

Sincerely,

Pat H[redacted]

Mr. [redacted],
I apoligize that Peoria fords Employees have called you to a point you feel is harrasing.  Our CRM system records every type of contact made to the dealership so if you or your wife contacted in several was, ie phone, email, sales, service, parts, etc. the system will have...

different employees call you in attempt to sevice your needs.  I have attempted to take your contact out of our system so this wont happen again. If you call or contact the dealership however again it will reload your information and follow up process will start all over again.   Again, I apoligize, our calls are suppose to be to service the customer needs not offend them.

A) This response is almost 10 months late. That is a ridiculous reponse time.
B) The rate my bank offered was still valid. I called them to verify that before I even called and complained to Peoria Ford.
C) The male finance officer I dealt with did not apologize nor did he offer to help me move to loan. I had to move the loan to my bank on my own.

normally I would agree with you but since we live in ny and not AZ there is never n need to call you. Every harassing call we have gotten was salespeople saying they are looking for our type of vehicle or pushing to make a new sell now the ten other times we complained all the way up to salesmanSher we were told sorry we will remove your number. Yet I still get calls. Now we are requesting a call from the owner. Not just a lame excuse. Our time is valuable. As is word of mouth.

I don't know what happened to the other people, But I and my wife had a outstanding experience. From start to finish, we where treated with respect, The customer service was excellent as was finance right through to delivery. And every time I go in, all the guys I dealt with say hi, hows it going etc. Keep up the great work Peoria !!

All used cars are sold as--is, what the paperwork clearly states.  This repair is 2 months after the sale and would not even be covered by a good will gesture something within in days of purchase.   Peoria ford hold customer service priority number 1, so Peoria ford would be happy to do...

the repairs at cost of the customer would like us to.   Used cars are priced accordingly because of the miles and condition.   If any further questions or issues need to be addressed please feel free to contact me.

Mr. [redacted] specifically requested that he be given his plate so he could dispose of it himself.

[redacted] came in on an advertisement of a fleet vehicle.  This vehicle as well as other fleet vehicles were posted incorrectly due to a software issue.  I personally called [redacted] and explained the particular truck he was looking at was a fleet vehicle, that it was already sold, and...

that the advertised price was incorrect and I was fixing the issue that caused it.  I apolligized and also offered for his time and our error a discounted price approx. $2000 below pure cost as a goodwill gesture.  [redacted], as stated, visitid Several other dealerships and is aware that this was clearly a mistake and is trying to profit from a human error.  He saw that their was at least a 6000 difference in price from other dealers and wants to capitalize on a posting error.  He claimed he would use social media and the Revdex.com to try and make this happen, which obviously he is trying to do.  The dealership went way and above to offer a 2000 below cost offer for a simple mistake.  The error was correcteds as soon as [redacted] brought to our attention and it is corrected now.[redacted] General Manager/Partner

I am a little frustrated in being mislead, A LOT about the possibility of being able to make a deal. I told [redacted] (internet sales manager) where I was in both credit, and how far upside down I was in my trade ($9000 based on [redacted] trade in value), and he said that he could make it work. I then told him that we didn't have more than $500 to put down, and we needed to keep the payments @ $500 or less, and again he said no problem, and in fact he had seen people in worse cases that he was able to help out, with double the amount upside down on a trade. We came in with the hope of being able to make a deal on the 08 [redacted]. He told me to speak with [redacted] when I came in, which we did. [redacted] had us test drive a 2012 [redacted], as he couldn't find the [redacted] we were interested in on the lot. After a test drive, and taking my trade in truck info, he then came back from the finance department with a psychotic offer to make the deal. He had on a paper that we needed a down payment of $20,000 (yes that is twenty-thousand), and payments over $700 per month. At that point, he asked us how much we actually had to put down, which we told him again, only $500, and the payments needed to be $500 per month like [redacted] told us that he could do on the phone. I even told him that we could do as long as 84 month, as long as the monthly payments were $500 including GAP. Needless to say, the sales department was not able to come close to our request, and they suggested a new truck with rebates. We then talked to someone in the new truck sales department, and after we spoke with him for about 2 minutes, he actually understood our situation, as told us up front that he was not going to be able to come close, as we are talking about $50,000 trucks. The internet sales manager flat out lied to me on the phone to get me in the door.

Went to this dealership to try to get my Ford Transit serviced. I bought it at Peoria Ford. BIG MISTAKE. Upon arriving the service dept was very unorganized. Cars parked the opposite way, no one to help you very bad. After waiting then I decided to leave. I then was approached by a very rude man who asked me why I was leaving. I told him this was the most unorganized service dept I had ever seen and I would take my service business elsewhere. He told me they didn't want my business anyway. I told him to "F" off and leave me alone. He then lost his mind and threatned to rip my throat out, gouch my eyes out and slammed my driver door almost catching my leg. I then got out of my van and headed into the building to report this to management asking for the General Manager. After waiting for a few minutes a guy comes out posing as the General Manager who wasn't the General Manager. He pretty much told me if I had told him to "F" off he would have punched me in the face. He never even asked me what his employee did to cause me to tell him to "F" off. I am immediately trading in my Ford Transit. I would never again set foot in this dealership for any reason whatsoever. People need to BEWARE of buying anything from Peoria Ford.

Called Peoria Ford back 6 months ago, and wasnt able to make a transaction to sell or purchase at the time. Just made an inquiry. Now....[redacted] will not stop calling me. And....its not even Peoria Ford. Its Telemarketing people calling. As if Peoria Ford sold my phone number to some agency. They ask for people who arent me. About vehicles that arent mine. Its ridiculous. Never will do business with them. Now the number is blocked until they change it by 1 number and call again and again.

I bought a ford mustang in December of 2015. I was originally offered GAP insurance and I accepted it for obvious reasons. Few days later they called me to tell me they were able to get me a lower interest rate with another bank. Not only did they want more money but they ended up taking out my GAP insurance and a bunch of other stuff because the bank couldn't cover the cost. Now the car is totaled and I'm stuck paying $4000 because of Peoria Ford's ignorance. Not only did the bank let me sign a contract with them with no GAP insurance but Peoria Ford never advised me they would take it off. Worst part is that when I tried calling them to see what had happened all they would tell me they would give me a call back but never did. Peoria Ford will suck you in but once it comes down to it they will easily screw you over. They don't care for customers interests they only care for their sales. I don't recommend them at all. Obviously they're no good if they're not even Revdex.com accredited. And ALWAYS READ everything they want you to sign and don't be afraid to ask questions.
