The time and effort I expended in attempting to rectify these issues was extraneous and arduous; furthermore, ill received and inappropriatePlaying stupid and incapable of running one's station in a business leads myself as well as several other customers, there simultaneously, to ponderAlso, having to ask the management on staff whether they knew how an internal combustion engine works and getting, once again, no response, was the final eventSubsequently, my vehicle continues to smoke profusely upon ignition from valve damage from the initial workHopefully, your firm will make better efforts to keep the brand viable.

The person responding works in another State and was not there when we took the car backShe is covering for her employeesMy husband and I were not offered a discount. We were told the original price. I found out from another mechanic that brakes they put on were the cheapest roters causing my car to make that horrible noise. I'll never use Pep Boys againI also have been letting other people know about the horrible service and several of them have had bad experiences with your Stores. Not just this location.

This is not actually a response at allIt is merely an acknowledgement of the receipt of the complaint and a stall tactic just like they have used in all of their "investigating" with me for the last yearAll they ever do is "send it to the appropriate party to investigate." They have done that multiple times in my email correspondence with them until they finally stopped responding at all, which is why I filed this complaint.

*** *** came to Pep Boys on March 13, with a *** *** *** first spoke to the Service Manager *** *** and asked for an estimate on a new enginePreviously she had gone to different shops and had gotten an estimates for over $for a new engine*** *** Service Manager and also ASE Certified Master Technician ask the customer to please let him diagnose the car before making such a big decision
*** *** discovers that the intake manifold had a crack in the seam where it meets the engineA new intake manifold was order from the dealer and installed*** *** picked up the car and called back complaining that something was still wrong with the carOnce again *** *** started to work on the car on March 20, and discovered that the throttle position sensor was badHe gave *** *** a quote in which she agreed to pay at that momentAfter paying for the part and taking the car, she then felt she shouldn't have to have paid for this, even though it had nothing to do with what we had worked on beforeHer money was refunded as well as she was explained that there will be no warranty on this, the Throttle position sensor for the simple reason that we are returning her money
*** *** still has warranty for the $1300.00-dollar labor that was done to remove and repair her intake manifold*** *** called back afterwards advising that something was once again wrong with her carShe brought the car back on April 18, *** *** once again started looking into the car to see what was wrong this timeHe came to the conclusion that it was the crank position sensorThis still has nothing to do with the prior work done to the car, The value of the work done for the crank position sensor was for $185.84, which was not charged to the customer
We feel we have been more than amicable with *** ***The only part that is not under warranty is the throttle position sensor, since a refund was given on that part
We again apologize, as well as thank Ms.Florence for allowing us the opportunity to address her concerns
