I signed up with planet fitness the end of September and signed a contract stating that will be taken out of my account monthly on the 17th which is fineBut I was also told by an employee that the annual membership fee will be taken out January 1st of next yearI looked at my bank account this morning (November 1,2018) and saw that Planet Fitness has taken out of my accountI called planet fitness and asked for a manager , His name was ***I asked why the $was taken out of my account and he wanted to argue with me about how I signed a contract stating it came out November 1stI just had taken out of my account October 17,and would be taken out on November 17,as wellWhen I signed the contract not even months ago I was specifically told the annual fee was on January 1st,and that the latest day to cancel for the annual membership was November 1st,2018.I was literally getting out of school and about to ride up to Planet Fitness to

I was a member at this gym until my membership was arbitrarily cancelledOn April 29, at 9:PM I was working out in a semi-enclosed area of the gym, along with another member, when an employee came into the area with a mop bucket & began mopping very close to both of us, disrupting our workoutsWe both waited until she was done to continue but the fumes of the liquid were very strong during & after the moppingAt no point did the employee request we leave nor ask if we were okay with the fumes; in fact, it seemed we were being pushed to leaveI decided to leave the gym altogether & brought the issue to the employee's attention on the way outWe both remained calm but we did have some aggressive wordsI sent an email that same evening to the location managerOn April 30, I received a notice that my membership had been cancelledI called the gym but the manager had given orders that no one connect her to meCorporate does not handle these issues since each franchise

As I look at the account billing and invoices it appears the account was billed on 12/17/for the amount of $It does not show a late fee of any kind on our end that was charged by Planet Fitness$being charged is typically by the member's bankOur billing per agreement is on or around
the 17th of each monthI have attached member agreement with member invoices showing there is no balance and we charged the amount agreed to $22.06. This membership was signed up online and member would have this agreement emailed as wellPer agreement there is a $early termination fee is member chooses to cancel before the agreed months

The previously attached membership agreement showed that the agreement was submitted through the websiteAs you can see on the agreement, Ms*** is the member, thus only she would be able to utilize this membershipFurthermore, we would not have access to anyone's personal and billing information unless they provided it during the sign upMs*** does not have a cancellation fee but would need to pay off her delinquent invoices of $in order to cancel

I called Planet Fitness because I was interested in joining their club for their advertised $a monthWhen I called to see ask if I could pay cash when I wanted to come for the month I was told if I paid cash it would be $I asked why they don't say that, he didn't have an answerI believe this is misleading

I joined Planet Fitness on 4/25/ The rep had issues entering my info & finally did it on my cell phone I was informed there would be a yearly fee in June & not noticing it in the email, I thought it would be mid to later June when I'd be charged There were only a couple of things I used there & I was planning to cancel I've been doing physical therapy at KORT which my insurance is covering, and I didn't really think my Planet Fitness membership was going to benefit me Workers were generally behind the counter or cleaning & didn't help with machines I tried to leg presses, because I wanted to work on lower body, but both leg presses hurt my knees The cleaners that you're required to wipe the machines down with bothered me too I have allergies & asthma & am sensitive to many cleaners I was planning to just finish out May, mainly just to bring my daughter I basically killed time while she exercised as my guest with the Black Card membership

Mr*** response is factually incorrectI never "grabbed" or even touched a staff member I never swore other than to quote the man who used profanity toward me My daughter, who was with me, went to speak with Mr*** and he declined to take any written information from herMr*** continues to focus on a distorted and inaccurate report of last few minutes In weeks of failure to provide the service I was paying for. Every staff member I spoke to during those weeks acknowledged that the 30-minute curcuit was a problemI did sign up and take the class as suggestedThis was the only time I was able to use the circuit as designed and without harassmentThis is clearly documented in my several emails to Mr***. Not only did Planet Fitness cancel my membership based on the above inaccurate information, but they also cancelled the memberships of two family membersThis was done on the 8th day of a day billing cycle without cause or even prorated reimbursement. I maintain that I am owed two months of membership fees for all three cancelled memberships

Planet Fitness ran TV ads last week and this week when I ask them about the specials they said they weren't running them?
Planet Fitness ran a ad on TV and Radio last week saying you could start a membership for cent down, $a month NO COMMITMENT! Then this week they ran a $a YEAR Special on TV, for the Graham NC, Planet Fitness...So I went in today to talk to them and they said they aren't running those specials but I could join at their regular price??? They claimed they don't know anything about these adsI told them I had just seen it on TV...When I got home I saw the ad several more times...I believe this is a classic Bait And Switch...Very Unscrupulous

We have reviewed the information in Mr***'s complaintPlanet Fitness does not take any complaint lightlyAfter communicating with the club we have found that Mr***'s girlfriend has a membership and his billing information is
attached to that accountWhen Mr*** called the employee was able to cancel his account over the phone which is something we do not typically allow, but the assistant manager felt it necessary to do so to provide the highest level of customer service possibleDuring this process it was lost in communication that there was a second membership linked to Mr***'s billing informationWe have since canceled that membership as well, and we will be refunding Mr*** the $for his girlfriend's accountAs for the overdraft fees Planet Fitness is not responsible for those fees since the membership was not canceled via writing per the contract terms
