They advertise no contracts when you sign up with themMy fiance and I went in to joint and the gentlemen we spoke with informed us that the $per month membership was only for one location, but they offer a platinum membership that allows you to attend every location and use of the tanning beds and aqua massageWhat he did not inform either of us about was the contract commitment that was involved with this membershipI clearly asked him if any other fees were involved with this membership and he stated "No" the only difference was the above mentionedNeither of us cared for the gymIt was always busy during the hours we were able to go and you have to work out around everyone else that was thereWe went back several months ago to cancel the membership, it was then that we were informed of the cancellation feeWe asked to speak with the manager who was very rude and couldn't care that we were upset about the fee and uninformed by his employee that we were lied toHe said

I highly do not recommend this businessI moved out of the area months ago and wanted to cancel my membership and be refunded the amount since I moved out the area, which I had documentation forI called the business and they told me to email them showing proof of my move with datesI sent that email May 19, and I'm still waiting on an answer backI called last week to see if there was an update and spoke to *** said I couldn't cancel the account over email and I would have to come in personI'm not driving two hours just to cancel my gym membershipI asked *** to speak with the general manager when he gets inStill haven't received any response from themI filed a complaint with Planet Fitness Corperate and RevDex.com, to have them address this

When I joined I told the representative that I would be moving in months, and I was assured that after months I could easily quit my membership, and stop the recurring draft onlineNOT SO, I'm now toldI must either return to the gym to fill out a form (it's miles away) or send them a certified letter! stating my REASON for quitting!
I would never have joined had I not been told that I could quit onlineThere's NO CREDIBLE REASON that they will not let me do this by phone - I'm told "that's our policy." I suppose it's also "policy" to mislead folks when they are signing up!

The Black Card membership has always been a month commitment and month to month there after. No refund would be owed in the case of this membership agreement. The manager is a liar and the person who extended my membership gave misleading information in order to induce me into a higher priced membership I was told that signing up for tanning would NOT make my entire membership extend for an additional year and this was a fraudulent lie The manager did not call me back ever, and ignored my first two letters I want this membership cancelled immediately because of the misleading and information that I was given I can prove I sent to letters, please ask them for proof of their responses to me

It isn’t anything huge, but for accuracy purposes, the total amount of the refund requested is supposed to be $59.05, but I accidentally stated it as $ It’s a small error, but would like that corrected if the details of my complaint are going to be publicly posted Also, the
business has not responded to my complaint through the Revdex.com website and it has been almost a week since I filed my complaint(Revdex.com made changes for consumer per request)

I joined this club a couple of months and I was explained all fees and datesEven though the young lady had a paper with the correct dates on them she told me a totally different dateI was charged $which was not in my account in that time because I knew what date I was originally toldI called and talk to someone and she just explained the dates over and over but addressing the issue I called aboutWhen I asked for a manager, I was told he is going to say the samething she just stated

I am a member of the Fitness Center and want to discontinue my membership I originally registered to the Center close to my home, which was located on 62nd and Western in Chicago The Center closed quite some time ago and I don't want to travel long distances to another location I want to terminated my membership and I was told that I needed to come in the office I don't feel I should have to travel to another location that is out of my way

we do have tanning beds at our facility which is one of the perks of the BCM membership but the main focus of our business is a gym, BCM members get access to the entire gym and the perks include, free guest privileges, free access to all of our locations nationwide, 1/off water and Gatorade cooler drinks, free use of hydro massage beds and massage chairs, free tanning and unlimited fitness training with a certified fitness instructorAs you can see the tanning end of this contract is a very minimum part of the membershipI understand *** is upset she can not utilize our tanning beds but she signed our contract which states in there you must be or older to use the tanning facilities*** can use everything else that is included on her membershipThe BCM membership is a month program which she was aware of at time of sign up, to cancel before her year is up a $buy out fee is requiredThat fee can not be waivedIf *** stays with us for the rest of her year contract than she may cancel free of charge, This was all stated and signed off on at the time of sign upIf you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask

Revdex.com spoke with a representative from the business who stated that there were no notes in the account about previous requests to cancel, but that the membership had been cancelled on 11/9, and the payment on the account was 10/She stated that cancellation needs to be made before the 10th of the
month to avoid the charges on the 17th, and that the membership was cancelled and no further payments will be deducted
