This letter is in response to a complaint made by one of our members, against Planet Fitness of *** *** We sincerely apologize for the lack of communication and conflicting information that *** has received over the past few months. The business has recently moved to new
ownership, and systems have been put in place to ensure that circumstances like these do not arise again. We will cancel out all past-due balances on the account and cancel out the membership at no cost.The club manager will be getting in touch with the member to inform them of these updates

I've been going to this Planet Fitness location for the past few months (I usually go to the Daytona one)This Planet Fitness is absolutely horrible, the staff are some of the most disrespectful people I have ever met, and the management seems to not care about there rude staffLast night when working out I was harassed by a Kelley, she approached me and informed to me that my membership was canceledI told Kelley that I canceled my membership right after I paid for it and my membership was good until the 17th of this monthShe brought me to the front desk were I spoke with NickNick began to insist that my membership was canceled and I would not be able to work outHe then told me to go to the Daytona Planet Fitness and figure out whats wrong with my membership, as soon as I left I gave the gym a negative rating (They have a thing by the exit door were you can rate the gym) this made Nick angry and he began to tell me not to come backI went to the Daytona Planet Fitness and they told me my membership was still active, as soon as I heard that I went back to the one in Ormond and as soon as I walked in the door, Kelley walked to the phone and began to call the policeI then left and decide to speak to management in the morning, I spoke to the manager and began to explain her employees rude behaviorShe seemed to not care and even decide to defend there actionsI was appalled and then requested to speak to the franchise ownerAs soon as I spoke with the franchise owner I began to understand that the staff were really close to each other and he was already informed about the incident, he began to be very hostile and informed me that I was trespassed from this location and I would not be able to work out here anymore (I wasn't even informed by the manager I was trespassed)I wouldn't recommend anyone to workout here, not just because of the unprofessional, shady staff, the equipment is terrible and I actually had a smachine break on me and the gym is poorly maintained there is a lot of dust and the equipment seems to not be clean
This location is absolutely horrible

Please provide the document of the bankruptcy and I will take a look at it if we received any payment after that date we will refund The date that you came in or when we received it was 12/22/

I have read and reviewed the complaint issued by Mr***.Mr*** was set up with a membership at our location as of January 2nd, We have made the decision to cancel Mr***'s agreement, however we will not issue a refund due to the terms of the agreementIt is our hope that this will

I've been given the runaround on how to resolve my account issuesI only recently signed up for a gym membership back in August and was hit with an Annual Service Fee in OctoberThe account wasn't sufficiently funded for such, and I was hit with two service fees from the bank for not having enough to cover the expense, each fee for each time Planet Fitness attempted to do soI went to my original location where I signed up, and they told me they would attempt a 3rd time before stopping in a few daysSo I got the funds necessary to put in my account to handle the situationAt the end of the month, I came back and attempted to cancel my accountThey told me I could not because I still had a pending chargeSo, I consulted my financial advisor and they said hey would contact the General Manager of Planet fitnessThey were told there wasn't anything they could do at the facility, and the fees were incurred at a higher level cooperatelyWe attempted to consult corporate via their we

***We did receive your letter on 11/10/Immediately following receipt of your letter we attempted to reach out to your son to explain that his membership was still was under commitment until 2/20/For this reason we were unable to terminate the membershipWe attempted to reach out to
your son on a number of occasions, all of which are documented on his accountWe left a number of messages and were never contacted backI am in receipt of this complaint today and because your sons commitment has been fulfilled, I have gone ahead and cancelled his membership to be sure no more billing takes placeFor obvious reasons, we will be unable to refund the $45- you're looking forContractually, your son agreed to stay with the membership and allow us to bill through 2/20/February was the last month of billing for your son even though we've just cancelled himWe appreciate your sons business while we had itPlease don't hesitate to let us know if there is anything else we may be able to do for him?Cordially,PF Executive Mgmt

prospect joins our facility. We also thoroughly review that following a member’s minimum term, his/her membership will continue month-to-month with no commitment. The member receives a copy of these policies and procedures once they are reviewed. To Whom it May Concern:First, we are sorry to hear that a member of ours felt the only recourse was to reach out to the Revdex.comInresearching the issue, we discovered that at no time was there a request to speak to either the manageror owner to help resolve the issue
Our policy to require a
cancellation be on a face to face basis was put in place to protect our members.This allows us to verify the requested cancellation is for the actual memberWithout this, any one couldcancel for any memberWith that, there are always exceptions, these exception are handled strictly bythe club manager and or owner

This member is cancelled out as of 4/29/2017, but she seems to be making a claim regarding her daughterI was able to locate her daughter even though there is no information provided for me to look up the membershipMom is saying that the money is being drafted out of her daughters bank account
however we do not allow members under the age of to use their own bank account, they would need to use a parents, and since she is under the age of she would also be required to be with a parent at all timesIt looks like the mom signed up online, and the daughter did as well so that is how they were able to use the daughters bank accountSince mom cancelled on 4/29/I will be informing her today that her daughter, *** *** *** ***, will not be able to use the club by herself and will need to be cancelled until she is There are notes all over both membership accounts showing that we have made many attempts to contact this member and her mother and there has been no response, so her claims to not be able to get in touch with us do not seem to match our notesHer refund check was sent out in March after the double billing and we had verified the address on file although something went wrong because the first check did not make it to the memberFast forward to this month after learning that member had yet to receive it we sent out a second check on 5/3/that was successfully cashed on 5/8/This member has now received her refund and this matter has been resolved

I went into planet fitness to cancel my member ship and I asked the assistant manager that if I closed my account that day if I would have to pay the yearly feeShe said no if you cancel before February first that it would not be taken out of my accountSo I payed the 58$ to cancel and signed off on the paper workAbout a week later I notice on my account that the yearly fee had been taken out and I called and they said there was nothing they could do even when I explained the problemOne of the customer service reps even hung up on meTerrible customer service

I am rejecting this response because:I do not know what I should accept or reject!! which solution offered by the business?I stopped by the place and offered to use the same card and if decline I will pay the return feesThey are playing game just to collect the return payment fees.End of the story, If they are willing to accept the $member fees ONLY, I will pay itAlthough I did not go any day after 3/I am requesting to cancel my membership and pay the one month ONLY ($10).If they rejected and keep harassing me and my wife to collect the $10, I will sent the payment via department of consumer affair and I will report the issue further.Believe me its not about $10, but I really hate this type of game.

In response to complaint ID#*** I would submit the following in response.Please see attached copy of said members membership agreement, that he had done through our online portal on his own free willThe terms of his agreement are clearly definedThis issue has been referred up our corporate
ladder and the same conclusion has been reachedSaid member is giving an embellished recount to support his claimI am not in a position to refute hear say, only clear factsHe was told what's in his agreementI would think being so adamant about specific information and dates one would have reviewed that information prior to accepting the terms of any agreement

I am rejecting this response because:Business made no real attempt to verify anything nor admitted to the lack of follow through and knowledge on his employees part that led up this issue I also forwarded screen shots of emails which clearly show me responding to the GM of Oak Lawn facility asking how I could possibly have an outstanding balance These emails are days AUGUST OF I am asking for ONE YEAR TO BE REFUNDED This is more than fair considering that I was billed for services that I was unable to use for nearly years! These emails are in addition to numerous phone calls and other emails I even went so far as to ask for help at a different club to try to get it resolved How many times and for how long do they expect a customer to continue to request the same thing with no results? This is ridiculous!

the club manager who is no longer With the company about joining back up without paying a startup fee when cancelingOn his old account there were no notes left stating this so after he talked with the assistant manager in February of he became upset and stormed out of the clubThis previous member never mentioned anything about military at that time or when canceling in which we would have gladly froze his account until returnWe would be glad to have him back at Planet Fitness even if that means waiving his initial startup as our members satisfaction is priority number one.Regards,Jonathan H*** Regional Manager Planet Fitness

this happened last year alsoat that time it took months to fix
I am disappointed

I have been trying to cancel this gym membership since AugustI live miles away from this facility but was told that I needed to come into the facility to sign papers to cancelI was told I could not cancel over the net, by email or mail
The real trouble came in when I stopped payment of the automatic withdrawal from my checking accountPlanet Fitness went to an outside company and had my credit card charged I have filed a disputed charge and fraud claim with the credit card company
When I talked with *** *** *** - NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR I was finally told that I should (could) send a certified letter to the Planet Fitness in Clarksville, IN canceling the accountThis was not communicated to me when I talked directly to the Clarksville facility

When I called planet fitness I had two goals: to get my account cancelled, and also to get the annual fee reversed I Was not looking for reimbursement for the a month charge I did ask that the fee be reversed and the individual I spoke with simply told me I had to send a letter but they could not reverse the payment I did send a letter to planet fitness signed with my name to have my account cancelled As of yet I have not had any correspondence or a letter saying my account has been cancelled as requested The bottom line is I have no been to Planet Fitness in Months, I haven't even been in an area with a planet fitness since April of this year I should not have to pay for a service I am not using especially if I call to cancel my account There has been no resolution as far as I am concerned
