Great Company great crew that installed the panels and customer service was good

I called Power Home Solar to install panels on my roof. The sales rep. showed up on time, was very nice, and stayed for 3 hours answering my questions. I received the permit in the mail about 4 weeks later as told, although I did have to call to make an appointment, but the technicians showed up on time and did a great job installing the solar panels. It took less than two days and I was called both mornings with an approximate time of arrival. The crew arrived around said time both days. I was contacted in the evening both days by Power Home Solar to ensure the crew cleaned up and to make sure I was happy with the work. I still have to get the inspection done and wait to see what the savings are, but up to this date Power Home Solar has given me exactly what they promised. I'm a marine electrician and I did look at the wiring and it looked as though they crew did a great job. I live in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Power Home Solar was great, from the start to now. Charles was great. Answered all my questions and if he couldn't he found the answer for me. He called to keep me informed and called to check in on the install. Josh and the install team did a great job. Nice clean install. I am happy so far and awaiting the final and meter swap. Would definitely recommend.

Power Home Solar did a wonderful nob, from start to finish. The company called to make sure everything was schedule and on time. The install went great. Sales person lied to us from the very beginning.
Now being told we need to finish the work ourselves.
Purchased Solar Systems from sales rep Richard *** advising we would save 60 to 70 percent on our power ***(oct 2015) $67,400. When we tried to cancel after the 3day period due to health reason, we were threatened with a law suit and would send us a *** for $20,000 plus for materials. Delays after delays, installation was finished 12/2015. Utilities told us we were
miss lead-savings would be 10 to 15% due to their "Sell All-Buy All policy. Promised back up batteries-never received.

Desired Outcome

Company has agreed to return to us $20,000 for the back up batteries since they still do not have after 2 years and for me to find my own batteries and have them installed. I have gone online and the batteries are $5500 each x 4 = $22,000 with $5,000 to 10,000 installation. I still owe over $40,000 for this system with little to non in return saving. I will settle for $30,000. or the complete amount to remove the own system along with repairs to my roof.

The company has been in contact with us and have offered some resolution for now and are checking into the batteries. It is a start - long overdue but still not completely resolved.

I still don't understand how a company can make a sale of this kind and not be able to fill their obligations even after 2 years.

Please do not buy solar from these people. You will absolutely regret it. They will make you spend way more money than necessary and once you sign the contract they all buy disappear. Especially after they get your money...dont plan on any of your issues being resolved because they won't care. Please pick ANY other company but this one.

Power Home Solar doesn't show up on scheduled dates.
Power Home Solar scheduled a date to reinstall solar panels. On two occasions(January 8 and January 15), they did not show up and would not notify us before hand. They needed to be inside the house, so I had to take off work to be home. Each day they did not show up I was not getting paid. On the days they didn't show up, they never notified me that they were not showing up for the day. I would have to call their office to find out the details (why they're not showing up or what day they going to reschedule). They never called me; I had to call them.

Desired Outcome

Partial refund for the re-installation of the solar panels.

We received a call from Power Home telling us they would pay one loan payment and they would take $500 off of our invoice because of the scheduling issue. When we got the invoice, it was $175 higher than our original invoice of $2500. We called to complain and they gave us the discounted invoice they had promised us. When Power Home showed up to reinstall the panels they attached them to the roof, but they did not work. They did not check them out to see if they were on. We called to get them to fix the solar panels and they had a technician call me instead of sending someone out to fix the problem. We are still waiting for them to send someone out to the house to actually get the solar panels in working condition.

Power Home never called to send someone out to our house. We called Wednesday and Power Home told us they would send out a technician next month. We complained and Power Home said they would have someone out on Friday. As of Friday evening, the solar panels were working.

Similar to another complaint, was told I would be replacing 80% of my power with solar. Paid $24K for a 4.4K system. Math does not work out nor does results. Replaces about 25% or my power and at over $6 a watt, total rip off. Customer service is horrible.
