Lots of confusion on the front end with sales intention vs what the installers get on the tail end. Maybe if I hadn't waited 4 months to pull the trigger we would make sense of it all. 7 out of 10 panels paired, diagnostics guy came out and said he would have done things differently, recommended different routes after the fact. Maybe he should be the salesmen! (also give the install guys serious raises they do good work in terrible conditions)

Seems like a lot of these issues could be avoided if we walked the project before sending install crews out. A lot of confusion was created by this lack of a step here. All I really care about is not paying my electric bill. They installed them well, werent jerks, and did their job efficiently and without whining and moaning like some of the other reviewers below me. Installs are messy, people who complain are not going to get very far in life. Get the solar panels installed on your house. It has already bumped my home value up 20k since installing them.

Hi***, thank you for your review, we appreciate it. We apologize for the difficulties that were had, but we are also glad to see that we could work through all of that with you. Indeed, the best part about going solar is the *** to save money on your utility bill. Enjoy that, and best wishes to you in the new year.

Smooth install. The installers were courteous and professional. Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking at solar power.

Company did not fulfill the contract but they took the money from the loan account with our explicit permission.
Job Address : ***
Contract dated 8-Sep-2018; Sales Rep : *** G, loan Amount disbursed : $8350. Payment Method : Loan disbursed from DCU.

We entered into an agreement with Power Home Solar, to install solar panel. Our Home owners association rejected the proposal for Solar Panel and once we learnt that our HOA rejected the proposal, we immediately told the company and their Sales rep not to disburse the amount from our loan. Inspite of repeatedly telling the company , they decided to disburse the loan amount. There was no explicit communication that the funds got disbursed from our loan account. Only after we reached out to them, they sent an email to us that the project has been cancelled. They did not proactively act on it for months even though they knew they are not going to proceed with the project. Their customer service representative informed us that they will take upto six weeks to refund the loan. We would ideally want the company to refund the loan amount immediately and all the interest and pay off amounts involved, since it is their fault to disburse the loan with our explicit permission. We expect the company to communicate with us by email frequently on the progress of this case and this case be resolved immediately and to our satisfaction.

Desired Outcome

Entire Loan amount along with the interest and any pay off amounts.

POWERHOME SOLAR Response • Dec 31, 2018

We apologize for this happening, and once this was brought to our attention, we worked to get that cancellation paperwork signed with you very quickly so that you can get the needed reimbursement. We are sorry that we couldn't get to work with you because of your HOA ruling. All of our best to you.

Power home solar is a big rip off and does not fullfill their agreement or promises. In July 2018 my partner and I signed up to have solar panels installed. That installation occured in late October. We were promised a quick installation and would be up and running in no time. It is now the end of December, payments on the panels has started, but they are not functional. We endured 2 inspections. Inspection number 1, the inspector showed up an hour before the Power Home guy, so inspection did not happen. Inspection was then rescheculed and they both showed up. Only to find that the box which was installed by Power Home was not correct. So there is no word when this will be fixed and we are approaching payment number 2. For a useless product that Power Home is in no rush to get up and running for us.

Hi ***, we apologize for the delays you have experienced in getting your home energized, and we have worked with you to address the inconveniences to your satisfaction. POWERHOME is also working to replace your metering can. We had no involvement with the metal plate being removed from your can, yet failed the inspection because of it. That one was unfortunately out of our control, but nonetheless, we are working to fix it. Thank you for your understanding, and for being a POWERHOME customer.

well I guess im just the unlucky one here. started in June this year first crew changed the blue prints, took two days couldn't get the system working, second crew realized first crew missed 90% of the trusses on my roof, and had to take all the panels back off. roofing crew tore off roof replaced it. 3rd crew shows up corrects more mistakes from the first crew and put everything back on. not all 35 panels would read and they could not remotely access them to see why, 4th guy shows up fixes that problem and then this morning I realized my roof is leaking into my attic and into my bathroom through the ceiling fan and I called and emailed pictures of it to them and they are sending it over to the roofing part of their business where the manager of that Brian im sure will lie to me again. the roofers were to be there friday morning at 730 the first time around and at 1045 after my wife and I calling he finally calls me back and says the truck broke down. but the roofer told me when he did show up that they were just delayed on another job and couldn't make it in time! so I don't know how on earth I got to be so lucky to be the only one on here that can't get his system in right and working without flaws and leaks!

it has not been a pleasure dealing with this company. glad to see they took care of everyone but me. Their sales rep sat in my living room and told me that I would have two months after the panels were installed to earn credits toward my electric so that I would not have a full electric bill and solar panel bill to pay at the same time. I have now been told (because Power Home Solar dropped the ball in getting my inspection scheduled) that it could be another three weeks before my panels get turned on and that brings me right up to my first bill for the panels. this means I will have been given zero time to offset my electric bill,

couldn't be more dissatisfied with Power Home Solar right now!

POWERHOME SOLAR Response • Dec 14, 2018

Hi Mr. we do apologize for the delay in getting your system energized, and I know we have contacted you to address that delay satisfactorily with you. Thank you for being a Power Home Solar customer.

Power Home Solar installed a defective power inverter and now knowingly *** not replace it.
I am currently financing solar panels through ***. The solar panels come from the company Power Home Solar, LLC and were installed on or around December 2, 2017.

Several months went by with my panels and I did not notice any changes in my monthly power *** (from 2017 to 2018) as I was promised there would be. I called my power company and they sent a technician to verify that everything was working properly on the power company side.

I made contact with Power Home Solar, LLC around July 2018 and they informed me over the phone that the inverter was defective. Power Home installed a wifi sensor that would report to them whenever the panels were not working correctly. They should have seen this issue back in December.

Power Home Solar, LLC sent out a technician in mid August 2018 (on a Tuesday, perhaps?) who confirmed that the part was defective. That same technician reported that he would be back out that Friday to replace it. The technician did not come to replace the inverter and they have since left the solar panels off.

I called a couple more times and requested that they fix the inverter. There has been no return phone call, text, email, letter, or any other form of communication from them to me. I even left a negative Facebook review.

These solar panels are costing me over $22,000. My panels have not produced any power over the past year and I have been paying $117.07 every month.

The part that should have been replaced is as follows:
Grid Support Utility Interactive Non Isolated Photovoltaic Inverter
SN: ***
PN:

Desired Outcome

I am past the point of wanting them to fix this. I believe it would be reasonable to request a refund for every monthly payment I have made. I would also request that the panels be removed from my residence AT NO COST TO ME. I would also request that my roof, attic, garage, and siding are patched up and replaced if necessary from every hole they drilled or otherwise created. I no longer want their business or product.

POWERHOME SOLAR Response • Nov 30, 2018

We sincerely apologize that your inverter replacement service was never performed by our technician (who is no longer with our company), and we are in the midst of not only replacing that inverter at a date of your convenience, but also compensating you for having an inoperable system because of it. Thank you for being a Power Home Solar customer, and again, you have our deepest apologies for what has happened.

Customer Response • Nov 04, 2019

My solar panels do not function as I was promised by the sales representative or the Director of Customer Care.
On December 2, 2017 I had solar panels installed on my home. They were not turned on until some months later. The inverter did not work and was replaced. I was reimbursed $1000. I found out that the NEW inverter was also defective so it too had to be replaced. I am not on inverter number three. This has been the case since 2017 to current. However, that is not the biggest problem. The biggest problem is that I was promised in writing and over the phone that what I pay to the solar company would not (on average) increase the amount I was paying out of pocket all together for power (including solar and regular power). If it fluctuated here and there, I would understand that. I have been paying the same or MORE to the power company ALONG with paying the solar panel company. I am paying FAR more than I need to. I filed a Revdex.com complaint #XXXXXX on November 28, 2018 with the hope to have the situation resolved and to not be paying a lot more than necessary.
respectfully, I request the following:
-Remove the panels and other hardware associated with the panel installation.
-Repair ALL damage to my roof/siding caused by panel installation (filling drill holes, repair/replace shingles and siding damaged by drills, etc not going out of there way here) AND any other reasonable damage associated with panel installation.
-Refund to me the monthly payments I have paid for the panels (subtracting the $1000 rebate that I was given so that it is fair to both sides)
-Have the bank (Mosaic) or company (PowerHome) pay for the remainder of the cash balance on the panels so that it does not show as a repossession or other negative hit to my credit report.

GRIEVANCE:
Power Home Solar has not delivered the product that was promised. This is the third time I have come to Revdex.com reference case #XXXXXX.
Power Home Solar has not delivered the product that was promised. This is the third time I have come to Revdex.com reference case #XXXXXX. I have contacted them by phone and email. I have not received any further information from them since our last correspondence. This is an ongoing issue. Power Home has told me that their "state-of-the-art" panels are supposed to generate solar energy, offsetting my current power *** by a larger amount. They more specifically mentioned the amount that I pay each month for the panels should be the around the amount that the panels generate each month (or somewhere near). After speaking with my power company, I learned that Power Home Solar is forcing me to pay an extra $140 (rounded) per month ON TOP of my current energy ***. I have explained this to them again and again with no result. I have been reasonable. I last contact them on 2/9/20 with no response.

DESIRED RESOLUTION::

My wants remain the following:
-I want to be repaid the full amount for the monthly payments that I have made so far (Currently $3202.72, but subject to increase as time goes on)
-I want the panels removed from my home
-I want ALL damages associated with the installation/removal of the panels, inverter, and other hardware associated with the system to be repaired professionally. This will include damages to the roof, attic, siding, flower bed, and any other reasonable damages associated (All costs associated with this should be paid for by PowerHome Solar).
-I want the remainder of the loan (Current Pay Off - $21,960.30) paid for by PowerHome Solar WITHOUT appearing as a repossession or otherwise negative mark on my credit report
-I want any and all liens associated with PowerHome Solar removed from my residence/credit report immediately

It amazes me how this business keeps a high rating with the Revdex.com just by saying they are going to contact you. I filed a complaint several months ago and have yet to receive any response from them. they tell you what they need to to sell you the product, they take your money and then they are done with you. The panels do not even coming close to what they claim. I am very very disappointed in the misrepresentation. My electric bill is more than before the panels.

Desired Outcome

I feel like they should be responsible for some of my 250+ dollar light bills.

False advertisement faulty equipment poor communication and 6 months of the run around
I had power home install solar panels on my house 6 months ago. The first month my panels where not working as the company had several failed inspections missed appointments and damage to my house. Power Home set up a contractor to come out to my house to make repairs after confirming the appointment with contractor and waiting home all day he was a no show also tried call him back at the number he called from. Second appointment was to be performed buy there in house guy that final called around noon to to say he wasn't going to make it and needs to be contractor because it was a new house. Power Home Addviced us that once panels start working we may have a over lap with *** and Solar bill my wife and I where fine with that because we were told going forward we would no longer receive a power bill. Are system was sold to us as 102% and was more than enough to cover are house and family growth. At this time we have not had a month where we have not received two bills. We reached out the power company and where told we will always have a bill from what the can see from there side as we are not producing enough power to off set. Call power home to discuss and got no were once I blasted on social media I received a call And was told they need three months of run time to determine what the issue is and to call I should call back after three months. The person I spoke with on the phone could care less and was involved in another conversation while taking to me very unprofessional and disrespectful. Once reaching back out to the sales man and telling him everything he sent a email out wictch prompted another phone call this person stated they would handle this and take care of it just give them time. So I did with still no resalution other than changing the inverter out on the side of the house because the other one had stopped working. With several emails text and calls I'm still sitting here paying two bills and have to keep chasing down people as they don't call back when they say they will or follow through with what they say there either going to do. I have stated in an email for them to get this fixed or put everything back the way it was meaning remove this from my house. I was told we understand your frustration and will call buy lunch well here I site still waiting once agin no phone call. This has been a complete false advertisement and should be called out you state 0 down save money instantly and stop over paying for power, own your power well none of that is true. I have been paying two bills have sent those bills to power home and the best is the system is working as I suppose to. Explain how this is working currently when I was sold 102% that is what my paper work says . I cant afford this nore would I have ever signed up for this knowing I'd be paying more than if just staying with Duke. This has been a complete nightmare and do not recommend this to anyone.

Desired Outcome

Power Home needs to make things right and cover experiences
