First, we prepaid our reservation (more than a month in advance)As part of the deal we choose an outside of airport rental company because it was cheaper for our length of the rental (days)Upon arrival we called the company to come pick us up, and were told by them to go outside of gate After waiting for min, we called again to see why they were taking so long.He said he was there, but couldn't find usAfter insisting on more information we found out we were at the incorrect place (the person at the phone could have explained better the 1st time)We had to go down one floor and walk with all bags because he couldn't meet us (said that they were not allowed)Ok, agreed and walked a family of and a dog, with bags(1st sign)
Upon arrival to the rental company, we were informed that we were more than 2hrs late for the pick upI told them that we were late due to the Southwest airline delayed our flight for one and half hour, and due to the miss communication upon arrivalAt that moment he repeated that we should have call to inform the delay (1st time that I have been requested to call a rental company for a delay, I know that I have to call for cancellations not for delays)And told us that they don't have the minivan that was prepaid (in full) because we were lateHe proceeded to tell us told us to wait for around hrs to see if another customer would return a van that we could haveMe and my husband were not believing what we were hearing, it was 3:30am and we needed to wait for something that it was already paid because we were late for pick upWe were getting penalized for something that was out of our control
On top of all this nonsense, he added, while we are waiting, that there were other charges that we needed to consider, toll tags for $a day, $a day for insuranceI was in total shock listening to all of this
His tone of voice was getting loud and obviously blaming us for the whole situationMy husband explained that by prepaying in full the rental, it must be there, not given to someone elseThe representative said that it was 1st come first serve, even when there was a full payment of the rentalThat by paying in full the company could not be responsible for our irresponsibility of being late
At that moment I realized that the office was full of other customers in our same situation, waiting for a car! I left my daughter inside the office and stepped outside with my husband to decide what to doWe started to call other companies to see who could help us at that momentWhen finalizing the rental with other company, THANK YOU ALAMO, the Priceless representative went outside, to try and convince us to stick to the plan of waiting for a car to arriveNot before saying to the other customers inside the office, dont you worry if they dont want the car, it will be yours (In front of our daughter)The complete ordeal took us till 5am in the morning
Yup another company saved our vacations, now I'm still working with them and my bank for a full refund

My fiance and I travel to *** *** on April 18, We are from *** so of course we wanted to get a car rental We planned on trip through *** and following the completion of booking it asked if we would like a car rental It seemed like a great deal (around $90) for days Our flight there had gotten changed by a few minutes and so I called to verify that they would still be available if our flight was late The lady instructed me if we weren't there by 8:we would have to come back another day I was already frustrated We did happen to arrive early and realized quickly this rental car place was not at the airport and we would have to take an additional shuttle to get there After we got to the location we quickly felt uneasy We approached the representative and from that point on everything was uncomfortable He began to throw a ton of additional fees out on us and asked us if we would like to use their fuel prepaid service My fiance was the one

This car rental agency participates in a number of unethical business practices They quoted me one rate when I made my initial reservation and then when I arrived to pick up the vehicle they attempted to increase the daily rate by $
When I returned the car in the same condition as when I received it with a full tank of gas, they agreed to refund the entire damage deposit After more than two weeks no deposit had been returned until after I called They then again acknowledged that I would be receiving the full damage refund Two days later I received a lesser amount with no explanation When I called asking for the reason they claimed that there was a charge for gasoline Since I had refilled the tank minutes prior to returning the car, I offered to provide a receipt for the gasoline They indicated that they would not be making an adjustment despite my offer to do so

This company is run by the biggest scam artists I have ever had the misfortune of doing business with As many other have experienced, we searched online (Orbitz) for the best deal and came across Executive Car Rental The price quote on Orbitz was lower than what they made us pay at Exec Car Rental, plus additional fees totaling $upon our arrival to their car rental place! Now they are trying to charges for additional fees almost a month later!! We knew something was off when their charges / fees seems to be a bit skewed and slightly "off" Their biggest scam yet is the one they list in their "Addendum to Rental Agreement Contract - Rules & Restrictions" (see enclosed photo) They want renters to believe that we must buy a toll pass from their rental place and that we are not authorized to use our own Sun Pass transponder They go on to state that "Executive Car Rental will be charged tolls regardless of personal

And, I'd like to note that I took weeks to get my $deposit returned; I had to resort to filing a complaint through American Express
