have received the consumer’s additional comments. As you requested, I have
again reviewed this matter to see if we overlooked anything that might support
a more favorable conclusion.
 
Our records show that the rate selected is
non-changeable, non-cancelable and non-refundable.
The consumer’s contract page discloses the following:

but some car companies have additional restrictions regarding mileage. Please refer to [redacted] specific policy.

was presented to you prior to purchase when you were asked to review your

I am rejecting this response because:
If it was only a $30 charge (as they claim) I would have GLADLY accepted it.  Unfortunately, as with their deceptive practices, they are lying here too.  They attempted to charge me $30 per room per night, plus $30 for each guest above 2 in each room per night - totaling $330 for the 2 night stay.  I had already contacted the hotel, and they would NOT have charged those fees....it would have simply cost me $10 more per room (2 rooms that needed changing).  Once you add in the $330 to my original reservation - it's about 20% more expensive to use Priceline than to go direct with the hotel.
I explained that - and again - VERY rude customer service agents told me the reservation could NOT be cancelled by me OR PRICELINE!  Yet, once disputed, they had no problem cancelling it, not informing me that it was cancelled, they after THEY DID NOT PAY FOR THE ROOMS, STILL TRYING TO CHARGE ME FOR THE ROOMS.
I have also filed a complaint with the FTC and the NY AG's office.  These deceptive (at the very least) business practices are a scam - just read the THOUSANDS of bad reviews they've gotten just this year on rating websites all over the internet.  This is COMMON practice for this company. 
If you want to get paid for something - you first have to have supplied the service.  THEY CANCELLED THE RESERVATION - not me.  I will not pay.  not today, not ever.

I find it outrageous that this company that has received 2601 (soon to be 2602) complaints is awarded an "A+" rating by the Revdex.com. It is apparent based on the sheer magnitude of the complaints that they rip off their customers routinely knowing that most consumers will not register a complaint and if they do the management then and only then, offers restitution. Simply disgusting. Literally thousands aggrieved and they maintain a positive rating using a cunning yet transparently unethical method of doing business. NEVER use Priceline.com, the company without a conscious.

to receive a discount. She also stated she called to cancel the reservation and
was advised that the reservation is non-cancellable. 
 
We advise customers on our website that

products cannot be purchased using (points/miles/rewards), vouchers, or
discount coupons. This is because our reservations are
already deeply discounted

reservation. The cancellation policy associated with the reservation was
presented to the customer prior to booking and stated:

I will never purchase from priceline again. I had an issue where I mistakenly selected submit on a reservation. I called priceline to resolve the issue immediately. Customer service did not help. I called my bank to file a claim. I filed the wrong claim so the charge was placed back on my account. Priceline cancelled my reservation. I NEVER MADE IT TO THE HOTEL. After several attempts to get help, for several months, I was contacted recently. I was told to contact my bank. My bank instructed me to contact them. Nonetheless, I now have a $150 bill for a hotel that I never enjoyed. I now understand the refund policy for my mistake. However, a credit could of been offered and it was not. I've told all of my friends, co-workers and family to stay away from this site.

According to the consumer, the hotel asked
priceline not to charge the guest for the first night’s stay.
The consumer states:“I am rejecting this response because: The hotel guest relations
coordinator asked Priceline not to charge me for that night”
Priceline contacted the hotel concerning
the consumer’s claim that the hotel agreed not to charge for the first night of the
reservation. However, we were advised that they did not  provide an authorization to provide a refund,
and are unable to provide any refund for the restricted reservation.
We suggest that the consumer/Bureau contact
the property directly for any further assistance or refund claims.

We understand you are requesting for a full refund of
your reservation because you had a business meeting and you were unable to
travel. In addition, you advised you found a lower rate for your reservation
through groupon.com. We reviewed your request and verified your reservation
offers additional savings in price and has more restrictions. Your reservation
cannot be changed, canceled or refunded.
Through groupon.com, the name of the property is not
disclosed prior to purchase. To qualify for Priceline.com's Best Price
Guarantee, your claim had to meet the rules and restrictions. The lower rate
for the same exact itinerary must be available to the general public for

from the same point of sale as your original reservation when you call us, a
comparable cancellation policy. Our Best Price Guarantee does not apply to

“Why doesn't Priceline publish a
list of ALL the possible hotels one might get with that deal?”
