We are writing to let you know that we have received your Revdex.com concern in our Executive Offices. As we understand, a lower airfare was located for your airline ticket purchase and you are requesting a  refunded for the price difference.
 
We have reviewed this concern and verified that you contacted us more than 24 hours after the reservation was booked.
In accordance with our price guarantee policy, the terms and conditions state that the customer must contact us by phone within 24 hours of purchase, to file a claim. This information can be found on the Frequently Asked Questions under the "Help" link section of our homepage". We apologize for any inconvenience; however, your reservation no longer qualifies for the Best Price Guarantee.

I am rejecting this response because:
We don't know who got our money without honoring the agreement - is it [redacted] or Priceline.com?
I understand everything Priceline has stated in response to this complaint.  
Again, I reiterate, those  I spoke with advised that disputing the charge with my credit card bank holder may be an option to pursue.  But I was never advised that my reservation would be cancelled.  
While the charge was reversed on my charge account, it was then in fact charged back to me.  At no point, was I advised that I no longer had my accommodations cancelled.  After arriving at the hotel in [redacted] is the first we learned our room had been cancelled.  The [redacted] does not have receipt of the funds charged to my credit card.  
Because we were told that it was not possible to cancel the reservation, and we had paid the money, we arrived at our destination as originally agreed to with Priceline only to find out that the reservation had been cancelled.  No one can tell us who was able to take our money with no obligation to honor the terms of the agreement.  
Therefore, is it correct for me to understand that this is the method that Priceline offsets their discounted prices? In other words, who has received the funds for a purchase I paid for a hotel in [redacted]
At the time I made the reservation I explained to Priceline that I was naive to the process and I honestly believed I would have an opportunity to accept or reject the option provided to me.  For that reason, I made an immediate call to Priceline.com in the hopes for an amicable resolution.  
Bottom line is, we paid for accommodations, arrived at the hotel, did not have our room available, and some entity has profited - unfairly at the dissatisfaction of an honest consumer.  
At the very least is it possible to receive a voucher of equal value from whomever has kept our money to use at a future time?

prior to selecting and purchasing hotel room reservations.
 
The consumer selected a specific hotel property from a list
of participating properties, at the disclosed
room rate, including taxes and fees. Upon hotel room check-in/out the hotel representative provided the consumer with the lower
negotiated room rate established between priceline.com and the hotel, which is
not available to the public.
 
Priceline.com is a travel agent and as such, makes hotel
room rates available on behalf of the hotels. Just like every other business,
we receive reduced rates because we sell in large volume, and if you compare
our rates, you will find them to be very competitive. We strive to offer
customers the best alternatives for saving money while at the same time
maintaining profitability.
 
Priceline.com provided the consumer with his/her selected
hotel, at the disclosed summary of charges. 
We apologize if the consumer is disappointed with the difference in
rates; however, priceline will not be able to offer a refund for the difference
in rates.

The struggle I had to endure this past week was almost unbearable, which I dont think any of the company's CEO'S  or EXECUTIVES will ever understand. We are writing to let you know that we have
received your Revdex.com concerns in our Executive Offices. We understand you are
requesting a refund of the cancellation fee.
We confirmed the contract page that you
initialed on your original request showed a return date of Sat, May 10, 2014.
When you contacted our customer care department advising that the wrong date was booked, the
representative offered an exception to our non-changeable, non-refundable and

I am rejecting this response because:I understand there is a price discrepancy, the question is which should apply - the one available to the general public, or the one Priceline agents might have access to. The wording on the Priceline.com website ([redacted]) is quite clear, the price that should apply is the one that is available to the general public. Reservation systems are complex, and there can be a number of reasons why they could show different prices. For example, are Priceline agents on an internal network? Are they behind a proxy, making it appear as if all traffic is coming from the same location? Have other agents tried to use the same website, affecting demand?
If a member of the general public, such as myself, offers proof of a lower price for the same rental car company, car type, rental location, pick-up and drop-off dates and times, that proof should not be ignored. I believe the documents I previously attached to this complaint do constitute such proof and are sufficient to demonstrate that Priceline's Best Price Guarantee should apply.
