I am truly sorry for the trouble Mr *** is having with water coming in under his base-railsOur dealer handbook shows (2) separate cement pad design options(1) of those designs being a "step-up" style cement padIf the customer and his cement contractor had discussed and prepared for the
possibility of water coming into the garage under the base-rails, his issue could have been avoidedA 2nd option would have been for the cement contractor to have poured the pad with a "crown" in the center of the pad which keeps water from entering the buildingI am sending a signed copy of Mr *** contract where we have clearly marked on the front page "Eagle Carports Inc is not responsible for stopping or repairing leaks under base-rails"For this reason I will not be able to send one of our contractors back out to install any seals or flashing as requested by the customerHowever, in good faith I will mail Mr *** a refund check in the amount of $so that he himself can purchase and install a cement to steel epoxyThe epoxy will most definitely correct any issue he is having with water coming in under the base-rails.Thank you,Chris***

I am rejecting this response because:It is June 6, and I still do not have my building They were supposed to be there on May 31st and they called on Tuesday the 30th and they cancelled again I waited to see if I would get it rescheduled and they didn't call back, so on Friday the 2nd of June, I called and they told me they don't have a date yet for me I will again be paying for a storage building for the month of June This really getting frustrating and I do understand about the weather, but it has been good weather on days And, after paying a deposit of over on a down payment with no way for a refund, I am stuck with this situation and it is very disheartening each day If I had it to do over again, I would've looked on Revdex.com and checked out complaints It seems I am not the only one that has had trouble with getting their building after paying a deposit I can't afford to take the loss on the deposit either I just want my building

I'm sorry for all the trouble the customer has had in trying to get his roof leaks repairedThere was a work order put in place on 7/13/to have the repairs addressedThe crew will make all necessary repairs to the roof to ensure that it does not leakThey will also be installing any missing
trimI explained to the customer that the longest horizontal panel we offer is 31'He has a 36' long roof which will require the panels to be over-lapped and a seam across the roof-lineI asked the customer to call his dealer that sold him the building to verify that we do not offer a 36' solid roof panel in AlabamaIf the customer would like to purchase a solid 36' panel from another company that offers them, we will be more than happy to install the panelsI did explain to him that there was an option for a vertical roof for only a few hundred more dollars when he had originally purchased his buildingThe repair will take place no later than next Friday August the 4thIf there is any trash left on the property, I will have the crew pick it up as wellAgain, I do apologize for the trouble.Thank you,Chris ***

I will be more than happy to write the order to have the roof changed out to a Vertical RoofI will let Mr*** have the roof and labor at absolute costHe again ordered a building with a Horizontal Roof and that is what we installedThe roof will be repaired so it will not leak, and he will retain a day workmanship warranty from the day the repairs are madeIf he decides to move forward with the new roof, all he has to do is call me and I will write the new orderThank you,Chris D***

As stated in my earlier response, Eagle does not require that a customer take time off of work to over-see the repair workFor this reason we cannot compensate for time lost at workI again am more than happy to compensate Mr*** for the inconvenience of the reschedules by sending him $If Mr*** refuses the refund, that will be his choiceWe have made his order a priority for a Friday only appointment per his requestWe will call Mr*** days in advance to set his appointmentHe will be set for the repair in the next weeks. in-house dealer representativesRay *** also received revised copies of the dealer pricing book on April 2ndMr *** called in and spoke to one of dealer representatives Austin *** to discuss what could be done about the dealer giving him the wrong price on his carport and order formAustin and myself agreed to split the difference in the new price versus the old price with the customerMr *** agreed to the increase of $Shortly after Mr *** called back threatening to get his attorney involved if we did not let him have the old pricingAustin directed him to the contract (that Mr *** signed) where it clearly states "Eagle Carports Inc has the right to change any price, at any time, for any reason"At this point I will still be more than happy to honor the original agreement of splitting the increase of $(discount of $409.28) with the customerIf at any time Mr *** would like to proceed with the discounted price and have the carport installed, all he has to do is let us know and it will be sent to scheduling. The customer will receive a call from scheduling, no later than 10/7/The actual repair will take place days after the customer receives the call from scheduling

There were issues concerning the garage#missing cement anchors and #screws missing in the corner bracesThese were the ONLY issues that were stated in the inspectors reportBoth the anchors and the screws were installed yesterday 1/25/and there were absolutely no more concerns on the inspectors reportThe job is now complete as requested by the customer and I would greatly appreciate the Revdex.com closing this complaint. I have personally spoke with John on several occasions concerning his carportI appreciate that he has admitted that it is in no way Eagle Carports fault that the wrong style roof was brought outThe dealer that sold him the carport had marked and charged for the wrong style on his contractJohn
was made aware during the scheduling process that we no longer service the state of NY and it would have been in his best interest to allow our contractor to install the carport that was orderedWe are more than happy to get him the style roof he had originally wanted but it will not be by January 15th as requestedI will ensure the job is completed by the 1st week of February due to the fact that we will not have any available contractors until that weekI will take $off of the return trip fee due to the time he has had to waitHe will now owe $for the return trip instead of the agreed price of $We will be in touch with John around January 24th/25th to schedule the appointment for install or pick-up, which ever he prefers. Hi,This company is not running a scamIf the customer would read the contract, they would see they have options to pay with a cashiers check, money order or with a credit cardWe don't add the fee until the customer states that they are paying with a credit cardWe are abiding by the law when it

Mr*** was not told the entire story when he spoke to the local permitting office in his countyEagle Carports is licensed to work in the State of ColoradoAs you can imagine there are multiple counties throughout the state of Colorado, each of which have different requirements for contractors
We have been working in his particular county for the last 15+ years with no issue whatsoever until this past August when one of our local dealers in his county went to pull a permit for a customerShe filed for the permit using her her name as a subcontractor working under Eagle Carports licenseThis threw up a red-flag due to the fact that she was not and is not a listed subcontractor for our companyAll of this could have been avoided had she simply allowed eagle to pull the permit for the customerI do apologize for the trouble Mr*** is having and will be more than happy to give him a discount if he decides to wait another week to allow the time for the licensing department to complete all the necessary applications for renewal of our license in his countyHe can simply call in to our corporate office to place the order and the discount will be applied. Mr*** was originally scheduled for 9/20/The installer went to his location, only to find out that the customer had not leveled his pad , and was off level almost 3' (30")We make it very clear that the lot must be level to be able to install the carportsWe have tried multiple times to
schedule the appointment, every time we do call to schedule the job, he tells us that it must be on a specific day after a specific timeWe have made attempts to schedule the jobI do have Mr*** on schedule for November the 4th, which is a Friday as he requestedI do not see how Eagle Carports is in any way at fault that the customer has not received his carportWe did show up to install, he was not prepared (unleveled lot), we have tried no less than times since that he could not accept the appointmentHe will be called no later than Monday the 31st to schedule for the 4th.Thank you,Chris D***

I have spoke in great length with the actual customer for this particular job MsJoyce *** Ms*** from day wanted to have a vertical roof installed on her buildingI explained to Ms*** that before she went and spent over $to switch the roof, she should allow Eagle to try and make repairs on the 41' horizontal roof even though the roof was not under warranty due to the length of the buildingEagle has now made separate attempts to try and rebuild the roof so it would not leakThe repairs were not successful due to the roof having to be over-lapped at the 20' (halfway) point of the roof panelsWe strongly suggest to all dealers and customers, that any roof longer than 31' should be vertical so they do not have these type issuesThe horizontal roofs longer than 31' do not carry any type of warranty whatsoever I feel that Eagle has went out of their way to try and assist Ms*** so she would not have to spend any extra money on replacing the roof with the vertical panelsThere are no other options at this point but to replace the roof panels to ensure the roof does not leakMr*** does not have any say so in this matter as he is not the customerMs*** is the one that has a contract with Eagle and also the person who has made the payment to EagleI did offer to take the building down and refund Ms*** moneyMs*** stated that she wanted the building and would be happy to pay for the vertical roof replacement as long as I would help her with the costThe actual cost of replacement exceeds $I offered to give her the materials at cost and pay for the laborHer final out of pocket cost would be $She has agreed to this and is ready to move forward.
