issues correctedAs far as the frame being 20' instead of 21' that he had anticipated, we do include the frame specifics in the customers contract, as well as the sales literature, stating that all frames are 1' shorter than the roof lengthHis frame is correct at 20'Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to help with the issuesThank you,Chris D***

Hi,I'am sorry for not being able to schedule the delivery of the carport at a date the customer needed. On the contract it states that Eagle Carports will not be responsible for down payment refunds. The customer would have to go back to the dealer to get a refund.Sincerely,GeraldEagle Carports,...

We have already spoke with Mr. [redacted] today on 2 separate occasions concerning the building and there were absolutely no issues until his wife called after the fact.  Mr. [redacted] is aware that the contractor will be coming by tomorrow 1/25/18 to install the missing screws in his corner braces....

Mr. [redacted] had already agreed to Eagle mailing him not only the missing screws but a check for his compensation. Thank you,Chris [redacted]

HI,We have this repair on file for scheduling, and I'm very sorry for the delay in getting the leak fixed. We will get the roof fixed as soon as possible!Sincerely,GeraldEagle Carports, Inc.

I spoke to [redacted] this morning over the situation and informed her that I would give her a call back by the end of the day today with what we are going to do with the situation. I informed her that it states on her contract that Eagle Carports is not responsible for building permits and the customer...

I do apologize for the inconvenience in having to deal with the structure not passing the initial inspection for Mr [redacted]. I will be more than happy to mail a check to Mr [redacted] in the amount of $200 as requested. I would not be able to schedule an appointment until next week. If Mr [redacted] is willing to...

We will be more than happy to have a crew come back and take a look at the carport to see if anything can be done to divert the water to a different area. Please be aware that the gable you are talking about, was installed at a later time than the original carport installation. This may...

be the reason the water is running down the end panel/gable panel. Another reason may be that the carport was installed with a horizontal style roof. The roof panels have corrugations that run length-wise instead of vertically. The water will run off the end of the building due to the style carport you purchased. By stating the water is running to the end and down the end gable panel, this would be correct. If you were having an issue with the roof leaking on the interior, that would be considered a repair issue. Again for sake of excellent customer service, I will have a crew come out and look at the carport to see if anything is wrong with the way the carport was installed.

The customer refund has been processed and will be mailed on Wednesday August the 3rd. We only cut refund checks once a month and that is always the 1st week of the month. The customer called in a cancellation request 2 days after we had cut refund checks for the month of June. Eagle will be mailing...

a check in the amount of $1353.15 which is the amount that the dealer sent to Eagle after withholding his commission. The customer will have to contact Ray [redacted] (dealer that sold him the carport) to collect the remaining 10% $139.50 Thank you,Chris [redacted]

I hate there was confusion with the way that Mr. [redacted] building was completed. The issue he is speaking of in the above complaint has already been addressed by an associate here at the corporate office (Ash [redacted]). Ash wrote a very detailed work order for the crew to go back and install the...

"Double-Framing" around his framed opening as well as adding tubing along a side wall. I'm not sure why Mr. [redacted] sent a complaint to the Revdex.com since he had already been made aware of the work order being put in place. The customer will be contacted by our scheduling department within the next 2 weeks to set up an appointment. Just so the customer and the Revdex.com know, the additional work that we are doing is not part of a standard installation. The request by Mr. [redacted] is something that Eagle should be charging the customer to do, however the work will be performed at no additional cost to the customer. Thank you,Chris [redacted]

Ms. [redacted]I am so sorry for all the trouble you have had in trying to have the addition of the walls and doors completed on your garage. I know how frustrating it is to have to be rescheduled on multiple occasions. The contractor is coming out of North Carolina to complete the job in Ohio. We are...

in the middle of Spring and the rains have not been very kind to us. I do know there was 1 instance that the contractor had an issue with his trailer, but the other reschedules were due to the weather. I have already spoke to the scheduling supervisor and have you on schedule for this coming Monday afternoon May 1st. I will follow up with the installer to ensure the job is completed. Again, I am sorry for all the trouble. Thank you for allowing Eagle the opportunity to come back and complete the garage addition. Thank You,Chris [redacted]

I do understand the frustration of the customer and would be more than happy to try and help her to get the carport. I am not able to give her the unit for free, however I would be willing to help her get the unit with no more scheduling issues, as well as a discount of $150. If the customer no...

longer wants the carport, I will mail her a settlement check in the amount of $100, due to the inconvenience of dealing with the reschedules. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to help the customer. Thank you,Chris D[redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 12569578, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.    In response to the eagle carport response, I am writing to notify you that we did in fact file for the permit to install the carport.  Our town clerk usually asks for a copy of the contractor's  insurance verification with no response. That is the town's normal procedure. they said they got no where.  Thats what held it up. So, we are forced  to use our homeowners insurance.  The permit is not the problem at all.  The permit was never mentioned till now by eagle carports. I have been told at least 3 times of tentative dates of install. If in fact they do contact us as stated, Jan 24-25 and it is in factd one beg of Feb,  then we will accept the install.   As said previously, I don't understand  why they even accepted the order if they say they don't  service NY.  We seem to be in the middle of a bad dealer and not having service in our area.  None of this  is our fault .Anxiously awaiting hearing from them.  Hope the weather is not a factor in Feb!
Regards,
John [redacted]

So out of the thousands of buildings you put up mine is the only one that has this many issues? No, I'm not. Go read your Google reviews, go read your Revdex.com reviews. They mostly say what I'm saying! They have leaks, customer service is CRAP and RUDE! I just post my own personal review VIDEO on YouTube. Go take a look at it! I'm going to show the people who spend their hard earned money on things to not waist their time with this company. Once y'all have the money your done doing the right thing with your customers! (I have now witnessed it and read it on MULTIPLE reviews) if your not willing to fix it RIGHT with my SIMPLE offer then come get the building and I will have a more reliable company do it RIGHT the 1st time! I will want a FULL refund as well! So you do the math. Pay your 5 guys (which is plenty enough to hold a piece of 36' tin) to now come remove the WHOLE building (alot cheaper to just replace the 12 roof panels) and refund my money! Your company is a JOKE! Chris I have given you the most reasonable offer there is! They put the whole building up in less than 8 hours! It won't be nothing to replace 12 roof panels. You didn't have to spend the time to find the new right material, get the quotes, get it delivered or anything. I done all the work FOR YOU. This can be all over with if you would just pay the labor and reimburse me for the tin! I will be contacting higher personnel as my next step of action. If you want to continue  do me wrong make me pay even MORE money for a brand new building I'll be continuing to fight. I'm not backing down..I am not going to get run over.

Update to response sent by business.  MMN Reedy, I tried to go back and add another small bit of info that I forgot to mention in my response to Mr. [redacted] complaint. The customer never pulled a permit to have the carport installed. We had a city official call to get info from us so that he could get his permit. With that said, we would not have been able to install his carport due to the fact that he still does not have a permit issued as of today. Any help would be much appreciated Reedy. Thank you!!

Mr. [redacted] is absolutely correct in that when he purchased his initial 35' structure he did have a 20yr warranty. By adding on the addition footage to lengthen his carport, that put him past the 36ft mark, which in turn voids any extended warranty. I sent Mr. [redacted] a copy of the warranty that was written in 2011 stating that any unit with a horizontal roof that is longer than 36' would NOT have any warranty other than the initial workmanship warranty. I will again offer to give him all materials and labor at absolute cost. We are not out to take anything from the customer and are more than happy to help him if he decides he wants to have the rusted panels replaced. Thank you,Chris [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:my cement pad sits above ground level so ground water is not the issue. Also a crown in the middle of the pad would not keep rain water from entering the outer couple inches of the pad. At no time during the purchase process do you advise that you make no effort to seal the bottom of the building to the pad or deflect water away. All it would take is a very simple flashing or seal and under the base rail bat the time you are installing the building. This is just cheap/shorty work. Even the siding on the sides of the building do not lay flat and do not come all the way down to the cement pad. Their are gaps of nearly 3/8 in along the way.

John [redacted]
