sans-serif;">I am responding to the complaint that we received concerning the gym membership and the manager of the clubThe only paperwork we have concerning this customer is a freeze form that was filled out and signed at the Bayville location in april of The next time we heard from this customer was in February of When the wife came in and filled out a cancellation for her husband we immediately cancelled the account and advised her nothing further was due

It's obvious now retro is not going to admit any wrong doing in this matterThe GM there was unprofessionalI don't have time to make yet another call when I have already been inconvenienced.I would never step foot in this gym do to the way this was handled, no one in my house hold would either. I wish the GM would be honest about what he said to ***However as I stated above the GM will never admit to his faults. There is no sense in trying to talk to someone that can't see what they have done wrong

Dear Sir:My response to the above complaint is as follows:Member (***) signed a year agreement under our May Basic Membership Plan on 5-17-(see included contract and signature)The contract states under recurring payments that after the initial down payment (month's dues), that there
are more payments (a) $each due and an annual fee due August of $39,Her husband signed the same agreement on 5-17-(see included contract and signature)On May member (***) upgraded her membership to our VIP package (per mo.) which includes child sitting which was utilized.(see included signed rewrite addendum commencing on 5-31-Again the payment schedule clearly depicts additional payments of $due.it is part of our staff training that they inform a new member that it is a month agreementAdditionally both members respectively were emailed a copy of the agreement that was signed to the email that they provided to the club immediately after it was signed for further reviewThis process is automaticWe do have “month to month” options available without the month agreement however they cost considerably moreI cannot attest to whether or not the members inquired about these options.It is certainly not our intention to defraud or scam anyoneAdditionally, if the member wishes to cancel due to moving out of state, we simply need acceptable proof of the new residence permanent OR temporaryAcceptable proof would be a residence lease, a utility bill, driver's license, hotel agreement, something showing they have movedThe documentation received by the member were: local driver's licenses, a job "offer", and a marriage license (local).If the member(s) are moving, we would be happy to cancel their membership with days notice and proper documentation depicting the relocation.Alternatively, we give the members the option to “buy out their contract for 75% of the remaining balance due for the month total.Thank you for your time and assistance in this matter.Yours truly,Pete B***

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and although I find this resolution unsatisfactory; I cannot endure anymore unnecessary stress by continuing to entertain how this company erroneously attempts to justify their unethical behaviour Like, really, their *** card is declined a month after I've paid in full, and I'm at fault because I didn't contact their emergency phone number, wow!!! Respectfully, please close this file Please note: I do plan to voice my opinion on the internet, and perhaps the media, in an effort to circumvent any other customers from experiencing such a disheartening experience with this travel agency I will not 'ever' do business with them again, and suggest they seriously brush up on their internal process protocols and their lack of customer service focus -- this is one case, where the customer was right, yet unjustifiably treated so disrespectfully!!!Thank you Revdex.com - I was not aware you even existed until my colleagues at *** recommended you -- thank you for doing what you doso well! Gym member was refuting charges stemming back from as she no longer was using gym and wanted a credit We are the new owners of the gym and took over 6/24/I spoke with *** *** on 10/10/and mutually agreed that she will be credited back monies from July and August of as we were

This company did not open till August pd I had inquired when they started in was given no contract no retro cards I had request due to my back and health to not join in August when company opened but it seems they kept my information said they have no cancellation forms and are deducting fees from my bank account as of today dec I was charged and that included tanning bed I never used or have ever used anywhere I called spoke to Vickie was told Brian the manager would be in in minutes she had a long list it’s been hrs now I call and of course manager is busy these charges and debiting my bank account are fraud I haven’t even been to the gym to be charged like this I call *** *** who is rd party billing they said I am bill for tanning bed and other charges not listed I have never checked in to this gym to be charged I have contacted bank I was told you have a card that is scanned every time you inner before you use anything I’d like proof of thes

Ms*** is in a one year contract which expired 1/1/The only valid reason for cancellation before the contract expires is medical notification with a doctor's note (which she did not provide) or evidence of a relocation which did not occur either. I have

In *** I signed a contract at Retro Fitness *** a month one time and you will contract fee as of *** and *** I've been charged double both months stating that they were non sufficient funds in my account there were funds available in my account on both occasions now that I'm trying to cancel my membership they tell me that in the contract it stated that I had to keep them for one year which would also be on auto renew unless I send a handwritten letter stating I wish to cancel my auto renewal I've called the company on several occasions and I'm not getting anywhere I do not wish to continue my membership with Retro Fitness I would like to get them out of my bank account

The member's complaint is of no fault of our business and parts are untrue based on telephone conversations in which the member stated were being recorded so he should be able to submit the conversations as proof to what really occurred.The member did not wish to cancel due to an on going medical
issue, but rather because he and his girlfriend had moved a little further away but not far enough in which to cancel without fulfilling his obligations due to moveIf the member is unable to workout due to a medical reason if he can provide us with a medical note stating such we also are able to cancel his membership without having him complete his agreementThe medical issue was never told to an employee or he would have been told that optionThe member's agreement is currently on a personal freeze not a medical one.The member was given the options in which to cancel while fulfilling his agreementHe was presented the option of giving a days notice where he would be responsible for paving $for both October and NovemberHe was also given the option to buyout those payments to cancel immediately for 60% totaling $He was even given a compromise of only paving for the October payment of only $The member continued to state he isn't paying anything and to just cancel which is not our policyHe chose to stop payment which he was informed it will continue to bill him and fees will then be attached for late payments and after days that overdue payment will then get sent to a collections agencyThat information was not a threat against the member and his credit but information to let him know what will happen if he chooses to just stop payment

Complaint states member was charged unauthorized paymentsMember was contacted & sent a copy of contract signed and dated 1/*/Contract was months in duration and charges paid to date were
completely in accordance with contract
We don't understand the basis for this complaint and are happy to provide documentation proving our innocence in the event that it can lawfully be disclosed to a third party

There is proof that I Inquired regarding cancellation as well as I did not step foot inside of your gym since I had inquired because I moved and as requested, I had sent a cancellation
letter There has been a COLOSSAL lack of help from Retro Fitness as I am being charged for something I had requested to be cancelled Why a person would keep a certified mail receipt for over two months is beyond me, it's a ridiculous request to make Again, I should not be penalized for the incompetence of ABC Financial I inquired and took all necessary steps to cancel this account as proper procedures would suggest and am being charged My account reflects absolutely no activity after the inquiry and change of address Because I am no longer a member it seems as if customer service is not something Retro Fitness seeks to display

I am filing this complaint against RetroFitness after receiving a notice dated 4/from ABC Financial on their behalf requesting that I "update my billing information"Evidently, this was in response to *** *** blocking RetroFitness since March from making any further charges to my account
Before this I had complied with Syosset RetroFitness who asked me to personally deliver a notice saying why I wanted to discontinue my membershipThat I did on 3/**/A copy of that letter is available upon request
I called Capital One today and their dispute specialist said that my account remains blocked to RetroFitnessThey advised me not to be concerned any furtherBut when I asked if I should take any further action I was told to contact the Revdex.comPlease adviseThank you
