Ed came to replace thermostats He was able to come a bit earlier then expected, which was great Put them in quickly and then checked to make sure heat and air worked both downstairs and upstairs before leaving

Although I am a long time customer of Woolley Fuel Company this was the first time I have used them for AC serviceI have stream heat so my AC is a completely separate system with the heat exchanger located in the atticApparently the condensation drain got blocked last session and trapped water in the drainage pipeThe water froze and cracked the pipe resulting in a water leak on the second floor ceilingI called Woolley on the morning of May 31, and was told they could have a technician there that afternoon if that was convenientI agreed and asked if they had any idea about what time I could expect themI was told it would most likely be some time after one or twoThe technician, Joe, showed up just after twoAfter a brief inspection in the sweltering attic he crawled back down confirming what I expectedThe pipe was indeed crackedJoe said because of the inaccessibility the broken pipe in the attic it was a job better suited for people and asked if he could come back the next morning with a helperI agreed and he called his boss to confirm the appointment for nine the next morning, June 1, Just before nine the next morning Joe returned with a helper and all the tools and material needed to do the jobAfter repairing the broken pipe he sent his assistant outside to check on the discharge as he blew the pipe out to clean itAfter confirming both the drainage pipe and the emergency backup pipe was clear he reinstalled the connections to the heat exchanger, with provisions for blowing the pipes out on a regular basis to keep them clearSomething that was not done when the unit was installed by others years agoThe job was completed in an hour as projected at a reasonable priceThe two technicians were polite, insisted on sweeping up the little dirt they made, loose insulation that fell down through the access hole, even though I told them I would sweep upOver all a star rating

I had some concerns about a slight diesel exhaust smell in my housethought it could of been from my heating oil unit Ed came outshortly after I calledchecked things outand found that an exhaust fan in the attic wasn't working properly He also made some recommendations about to create a better flow in the housethat fit within our budget
