Past client gets the shaft
I truly don't understand what's going on with Rise Credit. I received an email this morning hopefully addressing the reason why they decided to turn down my new loan application when I've had 8 previous loans with their company going back to 2016. In the message they say they're still researching my account. It's funny how I can log into their site myself and view every single loan I've had with them showing the payments I've made and when those loans were paid off, but they need to research and get back with me. Are you kidding me? There's no reason my application should of been turned down, especially after paying off my 8th loan with them less than 2 weeks ago. What kind of a company turns down a loyal customers loan who they've given 8 previous loans too? Who does business like that? You'd think because I'm a past client they'd jump at the opportunity to offer me a new loan. Maybe they feel they're not making enough $$$ off me. Maybe this is how they treat all their past clients. I guess they have no loyal towards repeat customers.

6 time previous customer gets declined with no reason
I'm a previous customer going back to 2016. I paid off my last loan with Rise last week. Decided to reapply today thinking it would be easy because I just paid off a loan and I've been a past loyal customer for years. After applying today they immediately declined me. I've had over 8 loans with this company going back over 6 yrs and paid everyone of them off. My credit history is flawless. And yet this company says I'll have to write them a letter to find out why they turned my loan down. Are you kidding me? I'm a home owner, have flawless credit, make over 6 figures a year, and decided to give Rise Credit my business again and they can't tell me why my loan for $5000 was declined. On top of that I just paid off a $5000 loan with them last week which makes me more of a stronger credit candidate to lend money too. You think from a business prospective a company who's had a loyal paying customer over the years would do anything they can to keep that customer happy and on board. It shows you exactly how loyal Rise Credit is towards their past clients. They don't care! This company will never again get my business because now I see how they truly treat their past customers.

We are in receipt of the referenced consumer complaint, and appreciate the opportunity to respondThe principal amount of [redacted] ’s loan was comprised of the initial loan amount, plus a CSO fee that was prepaid by the lenderWhen a customer repays their loan early, RISE refunds/credits a proportional amount of the CSO fee to the account via a “CSO coupon”, which reduces the payoff balanceUnfortunately, the timing of the rescheduling of the payment (on 8/29) impacted the amount of the CSO coupon because this change was made after the contractual payment due date of 8/26/Although this is technically accurate, we understand [redacted] ’s expectation of rescheduling her payment to an earlier date, so we will issue a refund of $as a courtesyWe apologize for the misunderstanding, and appreciate the opportunity to address this matter

Dear Ms***,Please refer to the two attached Loan Agreements - the one dated 10/1/is the first loan (principal $400) It was paid in full by the second loan, dated 1/5/(principal $1000) Ms [redacted] electronically signed both of these agreements, each time acknowledging that she read, understood and agreed to all of the terms of the agreement We recommend that Ms [redacted] checks her bank statement for the deposit she should have received on 1/6/2017, in the amount of $ Our records do not indicate that she has ever contacted us to say that we deposited more than she asked for If Ms [redacted] finds that her bank records are different than what we have advised, we ask that she emails [redacted] with a copy of the bank statement, so that we can investigate further.Sincerely, RISE

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my dispute Please enter your reason(s) for rejecting the business response below Today is August 24th and I still haven't received any paymentsThey claim there was a check sent to me on 8/11/from Fort Worth, TX, I live in Dallas Texas and that check shouldn't take this long to get to me by mailEven if someone was bringing it to me by bicycle it would have been here by now I have called Rise Customer Service as late as 8/23/and was told the same story that a check was mailed on 8/11/I do not believe they have mailed me a payment as they claimI want my money as this shouldn't have happened in the first placeThey direct debited my account for money I didn't owe them, they should apply that as a credit back to the same account they took it from, since they have issues with mailing paymentsWhy should I have to wait on a check, they didn't receive a check from me, not to mention clearly they can take your money even when your balance is "0" and was paid off before it was even due Regards, Doris Edwards

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: This is untrueI gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited days because the weekend got in the wayI spoke to "***" which didn't sound like [redacted] but someone from India who told me one thingThen I call the bankThe states that they have not received anything and that even if the routing number was wrong they would have returned itThey also say nothing pending coming inI called rise and I spoke with another lady whose name I don't recall and she gave me another excuse said I hadn't send me my routing numberWell I did! Either way, okaywhat if the routing number was wrong? They just sat on it until I called and asked why my funds weren't deposited? These people are a scam! I do know the officer I spoke with and get can get affidavit as to the matter and how banking procedures workAll of a sudden Rise got their money returned from the bank? I would like proof! Because the bank never received it so how could they have returned it I do appreciate the fact that I am not obligated to them? Why? because they knew what they did was wrong! Please see attached.Dear Ms***:We are in receipt of the referenced consumer complaint, and appreciate the opportunity to respond.RISE strives to be very transparent and informative about our fees and termsWhen he accepted his loan, Mr [redacted] signed a Loan Agreement and a Credit Services contractThese documents include Truth in Lending disclosures, and provide information about RISE’s role as a CSO as well as detailed information about CSO fees.To summarize, the principal balance of Mr [redacted] ’s current loan is comprised of two components: the amount financed/loan amount (the amount actually disbursed to Mr [redacted] by the lender), and the CSO fee charged by the Credit Service OrganizationPer Mr [redacted] ’s most recent Loan Agreement, the amount financed was $5000, and the CSO fee was $The CSO fee is included in the principal balance because this fee is advanced on behalf of the borrowerTherefore, Mr [redacted] ’s beginning principal balance was $9691.16.The total CSO fee is repaid in equal portions equivalent to the total CSO fee divided by the number of scheduled paymentsEach time Mr [redacted] makes a scheduled payment, part of the principal portion of the payment is applied to the CSO fees due, and the rest is applied to the loan amountIf Mr [redacted] pre-pays his loan in full, RISE will apply a “CSO coupon” to the remaining CSO fee balance, reducing the total CSO fee proportionally based on how long the loan was outstandingFor example, Mr [redacted] ’s current loan refinanced his previous loanBecause that loan was repaid early, a CSO coupon was applied, reducing the balance by $680.88.Thank you for the opportunity to address this matterSincerely,RISE

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:I neglect to agree with the company’s terms because when I called per the letter to ask for a representative, I made contact with Ms [redacted] ( [redacted] ***)Ms [redacted] and I conversation had to be cut short, because she could not find the letter that RISE sent to Revdex.comThe last thing I mentioned before the conversation ended was that I would like to begin making payments September 5, 2017, and Ms [redacted] stated that the payments would be approximately $per monthMs [redacted] said she would give me a call back before 11pm that night of 8/14/or on 8/15/We communicated again on 8/15/17, and elaborated again on the fact that I am unemployed, and we have canceled the ACH withdrawal from my bank accountMs [redacted] and I apparently had some mis-communication as to my agreement date to begin this loanMs [redacted] stated that I did not agree to begin monthly payments on 9/5/and per a recording she had of me during our phone conversation 8/14/she said I canceled the agreementI asked Ms [redacted] could I hear the communication, because I did state I wanted to begin making payments 9/5/Ms [redacted] placed me on hold, came back and said she was not able to provide me that information, and that team support of RISE will review the recording and get back in touch with me via emailI told Ms [redacted] I needed to hear that communication as well, it is not fair for one side to hear a thing and make a determinationMs [redacted] said that maybe there was some miscommunication in our conversation, which I agree with, but one thing for sure; I do know that I stated I could begin making payments on 9/5/Ms [redacted] stated that the interest will continue, which I was not happy with, and as I explained to Ms [redacted] , when I make a payment every month, it will appear as if nothing was ever paid because the interest is steadily accruing dailyMs [redacted] stated because I was not terminated the interest will not be stoppedI also made Ms [redacted] aware that my payments may not be as quoted each month or on time, because I am unemployed, but I will do the best I canI am looking for work and am hoping that I will be able to receive unemployment compensation to help me with these payments dueMs [redacted] stated that if my payments are days late, accounts department will be in contact with meI even mentioned to Ms [redacted] , RISE need to evaluate their policy, because some people who are terminated have been due to insubordination or lousy employee performance, yet that person can get the benefits of paying back a loan with help and no interest to where a person who left because they had no choice on good terms is not helpedNonetheless, It must be realized that I want to pay this loan back, but RISE must also realize that I am unemployed and that the interest is not helping me at all, which will make it harder for me to catch up, but it will be paid, if it is just $a month that I can only afford, I will pay it, but I am hoping that I can pay the $or more if I have it, a month Regards, [redacted]
