Please see attached.Dear Ms***:We are in receipt of the referenced consumer complaint, and appreciate the opportunity to respond.RISE (RISE Credit of California LLC, DBA) holds a Finance Lenders License issued by the State of California Department of Business OversightWe would like to assure Ms [redacted] that RISE operates in compliance with all applicable federal and California state lawsAccording to our records, Ms [redacted] accepted a RISE installment loan on 6/8/in the principal amount of $When she accepted the loan, Ms [redacted] electronically signed a Loan Agreement which includes Federal Truth in Lending Disclosures that clearly display the interest rate, total finance charge and the exact payment schedule for the loanMs [redacted] agreed to repay her loan in biweekly installments, starting on 6/29/She may log into her account online to view a copy of this Agreement. On the RISE website (and in some of our television commercials), we do state that “rates go down over time”The following disclosure, which clearly explains the specific rate reduction conditions, is displayed on nearly every page of the RISE website:**For returning RISE customers, the annual percentage rate ("APR") is reduced on future loans based on payment historyIf in one loan, you make monthly payments (bi-weekly payments), the APR for your next loan will be 50% off (excluding customers with starting rates of less than 75%)And, if in multiple loans you make monthly payments (bi-weekly payments), you qualify for a 36% APR for your next loanNote that it may take two or more loans to reach 36% rate.Ms [redacted] may prepay her loan in whole or in part, without penaltyBecause interest accrues daily, prepayment will reduce the total amount of interest that accrues over timeRISE does not accept credit cards for payment; we will accept a debit card.Thank you for the opportunity to address this matterSincerely,RISE

We are in receipt of the referenced consumer complaint, and appreciate the opportunity to respondWe are sorry to hear of the difficulties [redacted] has experienced with her RISE application processInitially, this problem seemed related to a new application she submitted with an incorrect social security numberHowever, that issue may have been complicated by RISE’s transition to a new software platformWe arranged for [redacted] *** to work directly with an agent to assist with the processing of her applicationWe apologize for the inconvenience, but we are pleased to report that [redacted] ***’s application has been successfully processed, and has been approvedThank you for the opportunity to address this matter

We are in receipt of the referenced consumer complaint, and appreciate the opportunity to respond.According to our records, [redacted] accepted a RISE installment loan in the principal amount of $on 1/27/RISE strives to be informative and transparent about our product, our rates, and our terms on our websiteWhen [redacted] accepted her loan, she was required to electronically sign a Loan Agreement that included Federal Truth in Lending Disclosures that clearly stated the interest rate, total cost of credit, and the bi- weekly payment scheduleWe currently do not offer monthly payment schedules in South Carolina.Once a loan contract is established, we are not able to permanently change the payment scheduleHowever, we do offer courtesy extensions of up to days[redacted] has recently emailed us to request that we cancel her loanThe Loan Agreement does provide a rescission option, but rescission is only possible up to business days after origination At this point, [redacted] may prepay her loan in part or in full at any time, without penaltyBecause interest accrues daily, prepayment will reduce the total amount of interest that accrues over time.Thank you for the opportunity to address this matter

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my dispute Please enter your reason(s) for rejecting the business response below The information provided in the response does not correspond to the terms discussed with me by RISE representativesTo offer lower rates and then switch to a higher interest loan is the definition of bait and switch, and to claim that the "small print" exempts the company from litigation does not exempt the company from ethical dealingIf the FtWorth Revdex.com does not insist that this company amend its practices it will be at the expense of the Revdex.com's credibility as a consumer protection advocateLarger institutions than RISE have incurred large Federal and civil penalties for the same bait and switch practices, and if the Revdex.com does not respond to these unethical practices by downgrading RISE's rating, consumers will have no means of accurately assessing the FtWorth Revdex.com's rating systemWe would hope that you would alert consumers before they incur an unnecessary search on their credit reportsThank you

Complaint: [redacted] I reject the response because it wasn't directed towards me but rather to a Ms [redacted] to explain a delayI understand the response is just to explain that the real response will be issued on 02/22/I will wait to see this actual response of course [redacted]

Dear Ms***,We corresponded directly with Ms [redacted] to explain that we could not prevent her account from charging off when it became days delinquent We recommended that she make a single payment to prevent charge-off, then we could negotiate a settlement of the balance Ms [redacted] made clear that she could not make a payment; however, we still offered to try to work out a settlement post-charge off Regarding the payment that processed when Ms [redacted] did not expect it to - the agent that she previously spoke to misinterpreted the charge off timing, and mistakenly believed the charge off would occur before the payment was processed The reverse is actually true - the scheduled payment processed, and if successful, would have prevented the charge off We have apologized for that misunderstanding, and also corresponded directly with Ms [redacted] about this, offering to reimburse her for any bank fees incurred as a result of this payment being returned.Ms [redacted] 's account has been charged off in the amount of $ We are still willing to work with Ms [redacted] to settle her account as long as we own the debt.Sincerely, RISE

Dear Ms [redacted] , We encourage Mr [redacted] to contact our fraud team if he would like RISE to take any further action in relation to this account Sincerely, RISE

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: If you read her response she says that once the 4th scheduled payment (Which was on Feb 15th) was made they would CREDIT my account additional payments which would bring my account CURRENT They did NOT do this....because my account was still in PAST DUE status and If I had NOT got online (Feb 26th) to check my emails I would of NEVER known that I still owed on my account $but the email stated that amount was Due MAR 1st..and if it was due Feb 15th (as she states) how's come it didn't say that???? ...I never received any phone calls or anything regarding this except for that one email I'm referring tooShe also says that the lady I spoke too on January 2nd about the four scheduled payments told me that I would still owe payments on this after the scheduled payments were made IS FALSE....She never ONCE said that to me....She told me that once I did this it would bring my acct CURRENT and PAID IN FULL...because I remember I was so happy to FINALLY have this bill PAID IN FULL...When I called the evening of Feb 26th [redacted] (a supervisor) had told me I still owed $and that March 1st $was due and on March 15th $was due....but if I waited until March 15th to pay that amount that I would more than likely owe more because of accrued interest He also told me how much Rise did for me but crediting my account for payments that they did me a favor....No they did not....Because I STILL owe on this account when I was told otherwise I would love to hear this whole recording of her telling me that I would still owe two payments after that payment was made I called back on March 1st and asked to talk to ***...I made $payment on my account thinking that should bring my account out of the past due status....since the email stated that I owed $by March 1st.....It didn't say I owed $which is what he was trying to get me to pay....You would think since I made a $payment on MARCH 1st when I owed $on MARCH 1st it would make my account current, right? WRONG....They are still saying I owe...After I made the $payment I looked on their website that evening and it said I still owed cents...Yes it read right....SEVEN CENTS....and was still saying my account was PAST DUE....Then I get on their website this evening it says my account is still PAST DUE but I owe cents by March 15th and my current balance $NOTHING about any of it being past due...but at the top it says your account is PAST DUE....HOW????????? You would think if my account was past due it would say how much I was past due....right? I think this place is a JOKE....I would NOT recommend anyone to get a loan through them....They have only been in business for FOUR YEARS and if they keep treating their customers like this they won't be in business any longer....I have NOTHING good to say about them....and I definitely would NOT give them any stars They don't work with people...I have tried several times to get them to work with me when I move to WV from OH and they refused....They were charging me almost $every month....When I lived in OH the payments were taken out of my acct biweekly but when I moved to WV they couldn't do that....One time I told them NOT to take out of my acct in OH because the funds were not going to be in there because I was getting ready to close my acct...They went ahead and did it....which made me overdrawn on my acct...luckily I had the funds in my Savings Acct to make up for it and the bank waive my fee BUT I ended up having to put a Stop payment on my acct because they kept trying to withdraw from my acct even though I told them not tooStill very unsatisfied [redacted] Regards, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: They told me by me sending a lump sum this will resolve the debt they sent me correspondence that I still owe almost that's not what I was toldWhen I initially contacted them for a pay offWhat's taking so long for a response Regards, [redacted] ***
