quick,easy and convenient with many shipping options

On May 22, 2015, I was interested in purchasing brake rotors for my car that are made in the USA. RockAuto's website does not list this the country of origin. I emailed customer service and asked for them to look up the country of origin. Mark S. from RockAuto responded, explaining the global automotive market is too complex to find this out. I responded stating it is a federal requirement for all imported merchandise to bear a label stating the country of origin which can be found on the outside of the box. Instead of researching for me, RockAuto refused. They told me this was impossible because they don't stock parts at their Wisconsin headquarters and could not find out where exactly these parts are located. F grade for customer service.

Great service, parts, prices, shipping, and overall experience. Recommended to many other auto enthusiasts who are looking for a good parts supplier.

RockAuto consistently exceeds my expectations. The shipping is very prompt and packages frequently arrive faster than I am expecting them to. The prices are very good, sometimes beating the local stores by more than 50% even with shipping. They also frequently have parts that no one else carries.

Review: car a/c compressor failed within the warranty period.

warranty replacement refused for some bogus reason.Desired Settlement: refund or replacement compressor.

Mr. [redacted] purchased an A/C compressor kit, and asked

us to arrange a return and replacement when he had problems with the

compressor. The warranty terms

of the manufacturer, GPD, require proof of an A/C system flush, because even a

tiny amount of debris in an A/C system can quickly damage a

new

compressor. When

we asked him about this detail, he explained that he installed the

compressor himself and used an air gun and mineral spirits to flush the

system. To avoid having Mr. [redacted] return the part only to have the

warranty denied, we asked the manufacturer if the method he used to

flush the system met the terms of the warranty. They told us that

mineral spirits are not an approved solvent for A/C system flushes, and

so they would not honor the warranty. According to our warranty policy,

RockAuto does not offer any product warranty of our own - we honor the

warranty provided by the manufacturer of the product. Since the

manufacturer will not warranty this part, we are not able to offer a

replacement or refund.

I order most of my auto parts from RockAuto and have had great success with fit, application, selection, availability of hard-to-find parts and low prices. My experiences with their competitors have not been so favorable. Lately, however there has been a nasty trend at RockAuto to ship parts from numerous locations when ordering multiple parts and being charged enough shipping so as to make buying locally more cost-effective. Also, since I began ordering from RockAuto their shipping charges seem to have risen dramatically and there's a tendency for parts to be shipped in boxes much too large for the parts and the extra space in the boxes stuffed with packing material.

RockAuto LLC really rocks. I have been with them for almost 7 years. Great customer service too. Cheapest price and best quality guaranteed. Recommend them to everyone.

A great company, never a problem. I enjoy their monthly news email. The parts I order are always in stock and the quality and price beats the locals even with shipping costs included.

I recently placed an order with your company and it will be the last. Your customer service department is a joke. The issue I have is I paid for overnight shipping and its not being delivered on the guaranteed time. They are suppose to be delivered today but FedEx said they aren't in the state and wont be. I paid almost $100 in shipping and its coming the same time as it would have for basic shipping. I want the difference in shipping. I paid for 24 hour delivery and I'm not getting it. Customer service said that you do not buy insurance for their packages. I call bull on that, what I'm assuming and until proven otherwise will assume that there is insurance on the shipments, especially the size of this company. This leaves two options either you are correct in not buying insurance,but I doubt it or you are collecting the insurance and just making money off your customers. I did not request my money being returned, all I want is compensation for the difference in the shipping as a credit that will still be used with your company, but apparently $80 is worth losing a customer who has been loyal and spent alot of money with this company. It's not even about the money it's principle that you said it would be delivered on this day and it isn't. Your agents said that I was FedEx's issue and rockauto js not responsible, but with that said...if you went into a store and purchased a defective radio, would you not assume the company will take responsibility for the incident no matter how out of their control it is to provide excellent customer service and replace the device and not use the excuse of its the company's fault who designed it. Of course they would just either swap the defective product for another or they would get a refund. Why am I not being compensated for your failure to have my parts at my house on the appointed time. Again I would be happy with a gift certificate to use with this company but I'm not going to stand for my money being taken with expectation of delivery on a certain day and it not happen. If I wanted the parts on Monday then I would have chosen the least costly shipping option and not spend just as much money on my shipping as my products. This is not an unreasonable request

I was very happy with the part I ordered from Rock auto & will buy again from them any time.I will be ordering again soon.
