To Whom It May Concern: We received a Revdex.com customer complaint letter from [redacted]. He canceled his subscription after scheduled renewal took place (see screenshot “Billing”), even though he was informed that he has to cancel her subscription before Friday, September 16, 2016 to prevent...
any future billing (see screenshot “Receipt”). All charges were authorized. He agreed to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. [redacted] We state the information about future renewals and instructions how to cancel the subscription on a Payment Screen (see screenshot “Payment Screen”). As a courtesy to him we are issuing a refund of the last transaction. This process can take a couple of business days. [redacted] signed up with a Roomster and purchased a subscription on 9/*/2015 12:17:49 AM. Not only did he authorize the subscription, we also sent him notifications and confirmations. He has logged in 100's of times into his Roomster account throughout all his billing periods, yet he...
never once made an attempt to contact us via our 24/7 support help desk or to cancel his subscription. Had he contacted us, we would have advised him to cancel his subscription and issued a refund for any charges. We have since issued a refund for the 3 authorized purchases and consider this matter closed.
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
I only received a refund of $29.95. They charged me that amount for two months, so I should get back a refund of 2 times $29.95.

a refund was issued for the last subscription payment, which was authorized by the card holder. As a courtesy to you, we have refunded the last transaction of $29.95, even though you canceled your premium membership after the scheduled renewal took place. Thank you.
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
[redacted] and [redacted] are two usernames that I have encountered.[redacted]Please delete their accounts promptly. Doing this does not solve the problem though. There are cases in Texas, California, Chicago, and New York in addition to DC. There is not a small amount of postings either in these states. Claims of up to half of all the listings in mentioned areas have been roomster affiliates [1]. Most of my inquires in DC have been to roomster affiliates.Regarding the blame of affiliate actions, you take on that responsibility when you accept them as an affiliate. Simply stating that this is not your responsibility because it is your affiliates actions, not your own, and that you gave them a warning not to do it is incorrect. Your affiliates are an extension of your product and brand. Due to there being massive amounts of very detailed postings that are almost impossible to determine as fake on [redacted] locations across the United States, you are obviously not doing a good enough job enforcing your affiliate program's rules. A solution to this would be to 1) adopt and enforce a preventative policy against [redacted] posting rather than the current, ineffective, reactive one and 2) clean up the existing roomster postings that are currently on [redacted].[redacted]

Sneaky membership renewal... no way to do business!!

I placed an ad on craigslist looking for housing. Immediately I got two email responses that directed me to a link for details of what they were offering. Both of these links took me to Roomster, which I could not get any information from apparently without signing up for a subscription even though there's supposedly a 72-hour free period. This was a waste of time. The responses did not even sound like they were offers appropriate for the situation sought in my add. I have actually had a roomster account before and did not get any benefit from it. I think they are somehow screening craigslist and trying to suck in CL users in a bait and switch.
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
My authorization for charges was limited to a 3-day period. The automatic renewal (which was billed as "3 Day Trial", and the lack of PayPal notifications about the charges (as other vendors do), is disingenuous.

To Whom It May Concern:
We received a Revdex.com customer complaint letter from user Dominique Harris.
She contacted us through our Helpdesk, we have responded right away and sent her all the information about...
renewal transaction, and we sent her a link to her billing history page where she could see that our warning about automatic renewal is very visible and not in small print. Also we asked her to cancel the subscription couple of times, so we can issue her a pro-rated refund on the last transaction. When she finally did it we have issued her pro-rated refund even before receiving a complaint from Revdex.com, so her state, that she is still fighting to get her money back, is false.
Also to provide a great customer service as a courtesy to her we have issued the remaining balance of $3.71.
We consider this matter is closed and waste of Revdex.com's time.
