Safetouch Security spoke with Mr. [redacted] December 2014. The Customer was moving from the home and requested transfer options. Customer advised they would return the call when time came. Safetouch Security requested a cancellation letter to be on file, as stated in the agreement. It appears Mr....

[redacted] chose not to transfer the system to the new home and with that continued to be responsible for the terms of the Agreement. The end of the agreement date being December 2015. The terms state a move does not cancel the account.Safetouch Security will accept a early cancellation of $75.00 to close the account in good standing. Otherwise, the terms as written will remain.[redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:  I was finally able to get in touch with Nicole Sinnot at SafeTouch.  While I am not completely happy with her explanation and her suggested resolution, I excepted her offer to change my agreement from a 5 year contract to a total of 3 years.  She had said she would send a note in to you at the Revdex.com and a letter to me confirming this offer, to date I have seen neither.  My initial problem occurred because I failed to get proper documentation for the false promises of the SafeTouch sales representative.  I will not make that mistake again and will consider this case closed when I have formal documentation.

Safetouch Security has reviewed the file of Ms. [redacted]. The call made to Ms. [redacted] regarding payment was simply a courtesy call and was treated as such. January 2 and she explained she would call in the following day to make payment. Payment was received on the 12th. Safetouch Security continued to provided security to the home and will continue to do so. Things happen. Safetouch Security will be happy to waive the current balance due as a courtesy.Hopefully this will satisfy any embarrassment this has caused.Sincerely,[redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:Once again, Mrs. [redacted] is stating that I signed and agreed to the Safetouch Agreement and its contents, in reality, "we" signed up for the Safetouch Agreement and its contents, which means that I did not sign up alone, its an agreement between myself with Safetouch. She is saying that she's simply reiterating what I signed up for, yet she fails to ever mention any details about what I signed up for, which would be a service agreement which covers me inside my home as long as the contracts been paid and its been paid for 42 months in advance. She also states that the additional equipment is not a warranty item which I already understand. Exactly, we both understand that. I have never assumed its a warranty item in any of my responses and there's no reason to mention that. Yet, their holding the additional equipment above and beyond fulfilling their current contractual obligations with me which is wrong and not contractually permitted. What Safetouch is trying to do is justify not servicing my home and justify not fulfilling their current contract with me by breaking their own contract with me or by simply making up a new contract as we move along, both of which are wrong.

Safetouch Security activated an existing system in Mr. [redacted]'s home.August 2014 Mr. [redacted] notified Safetouch Security there was a storm and he believed the equipment was stuck by lighting. was schedule and it was determined the equipment was struck and was quoted $549.00 for the two pieces of equipment that required replacement. Being this is an act of God, this would not be covered by the warranty, however; is covered under Mr. [redacted]'s homeowners insurance. Mr. [redacted] advised Safetouch he would not prepared to replace at that time and would call us when ready.Based on the terms of the agreement, Mr. [redacted] would remain responsible for payment. Mr. [redacted] has spoken to Safetouch Security regarding payment on multiple occasions and understands the requirements.Mr. [redacted] has been offered a buyout to close the account. Safetouch Security will waive the past due balance of $97.54 to assist in the replacement of the required equipment. Sincerely, [redacted]

As noted on your complaint, Customer's do not read what they are signing and want to make this the fault of Safetouch Security; which it is not. Safetouch Security has advised if the new residence of your prior location activate service then you will be released from the Agreement. Safetouch Security would like to transfer service to your new home to continue services and have provided the cost options for this. If you would like to cancel services now, I will offer you a one time option of $150.00 to cancel otherwise the account will continue to invoice until the end of the agreement or the renter's takeover etc.Sincerely,[redacted]

To reach [redacted] call [redacted] option 5 not into the service department. She will assist in the transfer option.Safetouch Security would obviously like to transfer service for you and continue the relationship. If you do not wish to transfer service then the remainder of the agreement remains your responsibility. The remainder of the agreement as written is until January 2016. The balance is $350.78. This is the initial term of the agreement so there are not many options available unless you would like to do a buyout which I will offer $275.00 to close in good standing. Otherwise the terms will remain. If the account is Accelerated for non payment and the account goes to collections, this offer will not be available to you.Sincerely,[redacted] Gabriel
