I am rejecting this response because:  section 8.3 the vendor refer to is:  "(iii) In lieu of replacing a system or appliance that is deemed irreparable or it is not cost effective to repair, said determination being made by Select."  Repairing the microwave for US$ 200 is definitely much more cost effective than replacing it by a brand new one at a cost close to US$ 1,000.   Hence, the vendor should have reimbursed the cost of the repair minus deductible.thanks

The cusotmer has been issued a refund back to their credit card as of 1/6/2016 per the Terms of Agreement.

Select Home Warranty is currently researching the refund we have issued to Mr. [redacted]s, if the amount is incorrect we will gladly rectify it as soon as possible.

Select Home warranty issued the customer a pro-rated refund per the Terms of Agreement, we will email the customer a refund breakdown.See Below: 13.2. Cancellation by You. You may cancel this Agreement within thirty (30) days from the Order Date of this Agreement, as set forth on the schedule page accompanying this Agreement. In the event you cancel within the thirty (30) day period, the You shall be entitled to a full refund if and only if, no service has been provided under the contract. After the thirtieth day, you may receive a refund pro-rated at the non-discounted annual plan cost. A $75 cancellation fee will be charged and any service costs incurred by Select Home Warranty.

rejecting this response because: of their delays in finding their contracted plumber, my dry wall ceiling is damaged and their compensation does not cover the dry wall fixes. Also, my primary concern is on this business ability to even find a contracted company to fix a problem on an emergency basis. I have seen two different instances so far and both the repair request ran into issues with respect to their contracting company either not responding on time or not submitting a diagnostic and repair estimate. I am now worried how this company will respond, if I have a HVAC or other critical issues and it defeats the whole purpose of me going with a home warranty. Moreover, it puts my tenant at risk, if something break down and I don't take care of that which may result in tenant suing me. Now their reimbursement team is stating that they will take up to 30 days send the check, in case the work is done by the client. Looks like this company is engaging in unfair business practices in terms of promising their customer on a) how good their contracting companies are, b) broader range of contracting companies to handle a specific work if one company cannot do it for some reason, c) turn around time to complete the repairs, d) process the reimbursement etc. I would like to hear from them on all these fronts. Thanks[redacted]

with the representative as advised.  He sympathized with me and assured me that I should not have received such treatment and said he would send a settlement of $400 for the trouble I had experienced.  After taking my credit card information, I asked if he had cancelled my policy as I had requested the last time I spoke with a representative.  He had NOT cancelled my policy so I asked him how much would be refunded with the $400 added on to the refund of my policy.  He said $1200.  I just looked up the amount I paid for the policy and calculated that this is is the original sum that I should be receiving just for cancelling my policy!  I would like to add this deception to the list of problems I have had with this company.

Select Home Warranty has been in contact with the customer, as of 1/30/2015 the customer has agreed to two reimbursements each 125.00 for a total of 250.00.Please acknowledge signed release agreeements from the customer which will be mailed out on February 10, 2015.

The customer purchased a policy with Select Home Warranty on 01/03/2014, we sent a reminder that the policy is about to expire.Select Home Warranty sends a reminder to the customer up to two moths before the expiration date as reminder to renew.The customer is more than welcome to call us and we...

We are waiving the $75 cancellation fee and any unused months will be refunded. This is going above the policy terms

We have tried reaching the customer numerous times with no response. For help with this issue the customer mat call mr [redacted] at ###-###-#### mon-fri 9-6 est.

The customer no longer has an active policy with Select Home Warranty as they have already been issued a full refund as requested. In addition, floors are not and were never covered under the customers contract. No additional funds due at this time.
