On 1/5/2016 the customer placed a claim online for the dryer, we tried to contact the customer on 1/5/2016 3:32 pm, no reply.THe customer call Select Home Warranty on 01/08/2016, after not replying to our email or phone calls and stated they would do a chargeback.We sent a technician to the customers' home on 1/2/2016.We also repaired the same dryer back in July/2015 which the customer received a 150.00 for the repairs.The customer was advised in July that 150.00 was being paid as they were under the first 90 days of placing a claim and were entitled to the 150.00 cap, the customer agreed, and received a check.

Select Home Warranty is issuing the customer a pro-rated refund on 01/23/2015, as per the customers request

If the customer wishes to cancel their contract we can have their contract cancelled accordingly and have their November installment refunded. valid claim for repairs. I still had to pay the ENTIRE cost to replace my AC unit, without ANY compensation from Select Home Warranty, despite work estimate from their chosen contractor stating repairs were need that were covered in contract. Ironically the contractor Select Home Warranty chose, actually warned me that Select Home Warranty would deny the claim and not pay. The exact phrase was "good luck getting them to pay for anything".  I feel they offer a product, then find any excuse to deny reimbursement.

own tech? How long does a customer have to wait for service? One month, two, three? I was told by [redacted] the reason they are having problems getting a tech is because I live in a "remote" area! Sioux City Iowa is NOT a "remote" area!

day the customer and Select Home Warranty has agreed on tocharge the payments.The customer was last charged on 11/07/2014 in the amount of32.92, we have not received payment for December, January nor February.  This is a warranty plan, if payment is notreceived the warranty coverage will lapse.The customers’ responsibility is to make sure that there avalid payment method for continual coverage.The customer did contact Select Home Warranty to place aclaim on 02/26/2015 to place a claim, and we did advise due to lapse incoverage we are unable to take the claim.Select Home Warranty would be more than happy to reinstatethe customer, but, they will be considered a new customer and will have to wait30 days to place a claim.

We did reach out to the customer and have not heard back. The customer may reach out to  mr [redacted] at ###-###-#### for help with this issue.

Select Home Warranty spoke with the customer on 8/19/2015, and they agree to a full refund, which a check has already been mailed.

Mr [redacted] spoke with the customer and the customers cancellation fee will be waived. The customer is in agreement.

from Select Home Warranty are one to try and sale me a NEW home warranty.  They have not contacted me to resolve the issue at hand.  Second, They can not leave me a voice mail because I don't have a voicemail set up.  They are lying once again.

previous owners, not me and I was told by 3 separate agents from their company on 3 separate times that I was covered, The contract is not clear what is or isn't covered. Not to mention the fact that since they refused to cover my claim and I did some checking, I found several other complaints similar to mine on homewarrantyreviews.com, All of the negative ones have been greyed out but you can still read them. I believe something needs to be done to protect other home owners from believing they have full coverage when in deed they do not. Please stop this company from preying on others as he did myself and the countless other prior to me.

Agreement does not cover any systems or appliances that have had previous repair or that require repair as a result of improper installation, previous repair, damage caused by any construction activity, improper wiring, inadequate or lack of capacity, power failures, power surges, overloads, missing parts, failure to properly maintain, failure to properly clean, neglect, misuse, corrosion, rust, sediment and any modification to the system or appliance. The customer is not sue any more funds at this point. We did try top reach out to the customer to explain the diagnosis but he hung up on us.
