Unfortunately the customer is not eligible for a refund as multiple claims were submitted during their warranty terms and contractors were assigned and repairs were completedWith respects to the claim currently being processed the customer was informed on 8/1/that we are in the process of
locating a technicianThe customer has been offered to secure their own technician but are refusing to do soWe are working very hard on finding a contractor but it is a very busy time of year for contractors in this customers neighborhoodIf the customer wishes they can still secure their own technician or allow us to continue to locate a tech

I am rejecting this response because:
The request for three years of maintenance records is a ridiculous demand to a residential private individualIt’s simply not what the average person does, and fails the Reasonable expectation doctrineYou’ve simply inserted this clause in your policies to escape ever paying a payoutI’m glad to have cancelled my policy from a company like yours!

Select Home Warranty is more than willing to move forwardwith any claim as long as it falls within the parameters of the Terms &Conditions. The customer placed the claim for the washing machine on10/16/2014, a technician was secured and the diagnostic was that the door bootis leakingSelect Home
Warranty will repair any mechanical part that failscaused the *** to not operate. The door boot/door boot sealseal is also the entry point for water during the fill cycleIf thewasher is leaking water, the front door boot seal might have atear or rip and is letting water leak pastThe boot seal cantear when the washer is overloaded. Our policy states that we send a technician to the home, once the technician arrives he is to be paid the deductible, that is thecustomers responsibility whether an item is covered or not per the Terms ofAgreement. We do understand the customers concern and apologize for anymisunderstanding regarding the actual coverage for the washing machineTherepair is not of a mechanical failure and we are unable to cover the repair Select Home Warranty has handled two previous claims for thecustomer and have satisfied each claim, we have also satisfied our contractual obligation regarding the washingmachine claim by sending a technician to the home and diagnosing the issue, andunfortunately in this case we are not able to move forward with the repair, norare we able to refund the deductible.Select Home Warranty would be more than happy to assist thecustomer in any way and look forward to continuing to service their needs
We have already approved the customer for a reimbursement according to the policy termsWe have approved the reimbursement according to the depreciated value of the unitThe oven is years oldwe have already approved and additional good will and have upped the reimbursement to $The

I am rejecting this response because:
First, my issue remains that when I updated my personal residence home warranty plan back in August of after the servicing of one of my two ac units, the SelectHomeWarranty representative added the extension, and an additional ac coverage, to the wrong property (my rental unit) It should be noted that the day I had the downstairs ac unit serviced, I called to add the second unit and told them that the house was for sale and I wanted the other unit covered just in case In addition, my rental property only has one ac unit! Because they added the extension to my rental property, the home warranty plan on my personal residence expired (without notice, contact or warning) in mid-December I was not made aware of this until February 5, 2016...where I was strong-armed into buying another extension on my personal residence since the house was under contract for sale.Second, after reporting the matter to the Revdex.com, the supervisor, Mr*** agreed to fix the ac unit and waive the service charge of $ At that time, I accepted their response as a reasonable settlement and expected Select to honor their commitment (see previous proposed resolution filed in February) The repair of my ac unit was scheduled for March 12, 2016...well after the one month waiting period even if SelectHomeWarranty had not made the original mishap on policies Again, my original contention is that there never should have been a lapse in coverage and that if someone listens to the tape recorded conversations, they will see the obvious error on the part of SelectHomeWarranty However, by March 12, well after the one month waiting period, Select denied authorization to service my ac unit, or even cover the replacement of the regulators ($cost) Then, after taking more than two weeks to even decide on my other two claims, they now state that neither the microwave or sink drain issues are covered under their plans, which is nonsense I've had this home warranty coverage in place for more than two years, having paid more than $in premiums to SelectHomeWarranty for my two plans. In addition, the technician who serviced my ac unit, to the cost of $480, said that this is the typical MO for SelectHomeWarranty and that this was his last job for them.Because these three items were identified in the home sale inspection, time was of the essence Also, because Select took so long to make a decision and ultimately decided not to provide the standard coverage, I was forced to pay other vendors a premium fee to complete such last-minute repairs in order to close on the property (scheduled for March 28, 2016) I have never had such poor service, support and response from a company in my life and believe that the public should be made aware of these unscrupulous practices Even after Select agreed to perform such services in order to remedy my previous disagreement, they failed to even do that
