At a very high level my inherited IRA account should have been funded back in February and as of today, it has not been funded The other beneficiary accounts have been funded I followed up on 3/6/and it was supposed to be escalated I called again on 4/and was told it would be funded in two business days and that there was an issue with one of the other beneficiaries account being overfunded and they were going to have to pull it back Called on 4/still not funded4/19/still not fundedThey were going to escalate to a manager at 9:am the next morning and call me at 10: Never heard back on 4/at 10:so I called back Was told the issue was that one system showed a particular fund has shares but their other system shows sharesI was put on hold for minutes and disconnected Called back and was on for an hour and fifteen minutes and still not resolved

In January 2018, vanguard system charged me margin interests on cash debt for about 172K, while let my 300K cash sitting idle in my Prime money fundI called twice to their customer service to find why, and issue was not resolved (no refund b/c of their mistakes)
I was told two different stories
Story 1: that Brokerage account switched setting fund from Prime Money Marketing Fund to Federal Money Marketing fundIf this was regulation change, why as a customer that I was not notified by that?
Story 2: The Brokerage Account will automatically sweep money from Prime Money Marketing Fund, which works so for the whole year Then my question will be why they charged me margin interests b/c of their system error

I have been trying to roll my 401K and Roth IRA from *** to Vanguard and Vanguard has been making it impossible by constantly giving me wrong info and endless hoops to jump through and the worst Customer service experience I have ever dealt with in my lifeI called Vanguard numerous times and asked their Customer Service reps what to do to rollover my 401K and Roth IRA into my employers 401K and Roth IRA I have with my current employer with Vanguard, I do exactly what Vanguards Customer Service employees say to do to mail in the check to them from *** and after I send it to them Vanguard then said I did it wrong, but I am doing what their employees told me to do I have two checks from *** that I mailed it Certified mail to Vanguard but Vanguard says the checks are not made out right even though I had it made out exactly how their employees told me how to have it made out and Vanguard mailed my checks back to me wasting my time and money mailing it themWhen I call **

I have a 401k account with vanguardI saw on there website that I was able to withdraw cash that I could use right away, now i'm told that I can't do that it has to be a hardship withdrawI was also told that I no longer have to pay on the loans that I defaulted on back in March of this yearI want to be able to make a cash withdraw without it being a hardship withdraw!! I also want to stop paying on the loans I defaulted onIf I can't do either..I want to close my account all together!!

This complaint is being filed because Vanguard has not complied with our repeated written instructions as a plan sponsorOn August 20, 2015, we notified Vanguard that our employer-sponsored 403(b) plan was being terminated effective August 31, On July 7, 2016, Vanguard was requested to remove all assets from the plan within the next days in order to close it outFurthermore, on February 17, 2017, notice was sent to Vanguard once again requesting all assets be immediately removed from the plan in order to close it out
Vanguard has not complied with our repeated requests to remove all assets from the planAdditionally, Vanguard has shown no good faith effort to move toward closure of the planWe have not even received from Vanguard a written response to our requests
On September 8, 2017, notice was sent to Vanguard, once again requesting that all assets be removed from the plan, and requesting that our plan NOT be transitioned to the “enhanced 403(b) program” on Nov

My father has an IRA account with Vanguard
I am his Power of Attorney and Health Care Proxy
And I have a letter of incapacitation from his primary care doctor
There is high probability of fraud on my father's account
He has Alzheimer's and I found out recently that his contact information was changed in
I submitted all the correct paperwork and it was notorized to Vanguard
After phone calls so far I still cannot get information on if his beneficiary was changed and U am looking for the checks that he has received and where they were cashed
I am in the process of hiring a lawyer
This information is critical for my family
My father needs to be in hospice and has been subject of abuse and neglect by a caregiver
We need answers and Vanguard is not helping us get the answers we need after I have complied with all the necessary information they need

We received a letter from Vanguard titled "Confirmation of account changes "phone redemption privilege option added" to my wife's IRA account
Neither I or my wife, authorized this changeAnd when we requested that this change, "phone redemption privilege" be removed from my wife's IRA account the Vanguard person, Samantha, said for us to remove this unauthorized change we must submit a signed notarized letter to Vanguard stating such in order to remove this unauthorized change to my wife's accountI have authorization to speak in my wife's behalf with Vanguard

Early this year I contacted Vanguard to inquire about taking a loan out from my 401k from a former employerI was told I was eligibleThe loan processed & I received the moneyAfter several months, I called Vanguard to make a payment on the loan & they informed me that I was not eligible for the loan that they already processed months earlierI was told I had to pay the full loan back or else it would be considered an early withdrawal & thus subject to tax penaltiesI entered into a loan contractI never authorized a withdrawal

On 06/03/I closed the account and transferred all my assets to another financial institute
On 09/20/I received an email about activity on my (closed) account with Vanguard Apparently there was an issue with one of the funds in my prior portfolio and the proceeds were transferred to the (closed) Vanguard account on 08/30/and 08/31/totaling $
Apparently on 09/06/a fee for low balance was assessed on this account in the amount of $
On 09/22/I (again) closed the account and Termination Withdrawal transferred all my assets to another (same as above) financial institute

I was attempting to transfer an inheritance from a deceased relative’s Vanguard account into our bank account Vanguard did the micro transfers to assure the bank contact information I provided was correct...I got notice that the micro transfer process was successful...so I attempted to transfer the funds to our bank...it wouldn’t work! I tried for a couple more days with the same result...I called vanguard to inform them of the problem and they basically told me that they would hold onto the funds for another or days just to make sure the bank info was correct!!! Huh? What did the micro transfers just do? Prior to me calling them, they never informed me that they would further delay the transfer or why they would do so They also said that they would not inform me when they released my money, but I would have to check into their website daily to see if the transfer would work Wow
A cynic would assume that they just wanted to hold onto the cash longer to increase their profit at my expense
Prior to this experience I had been considering switching my brokerage account to Vanguard...now I’d go anywhere else

I received a check in the amount of $3,with myself listed as the payee The checks payor was The Vanguard Group, IncInstitutional Disbursement Account The payouts Bank was *** *** *** of Delaware in Wilmington, PA Since I wasn’t familiar with this company I found a phone number via the internet & called to see why I was receiving this check No one could or would tell me anything other than it appeared I didn’t have an account with them I ask for their accounting department, no one seemed to know how to reach that department either I went to my bank & they contacted the payers bank to verify funds They was given the checking account number, the check number & the amount of the check & was told at that time the check was good I deposited the check & in a few days it was returned I again called Tge Vanguard group asking how in the world did someone at a multi million dollar company find my name to write a check to me Again, no one cou

I contacted the Vanguard Customer service in April 20th, inquired about required process to move my investments from Vanguard to another investment companywithout asking about the type of the transfer, the associate at Vanguard told me that no paperwork is required by us to be done by me and the recipient investment company needs to initiate and communicate with Vanguard Directly
I did the paperwork with the Recipient Investment Company and after over days, on May or May 5, I contacted Vanguard again to see any updates for the process and find out what else theu might require from the recipient investment company to fulfill the process
When I spoke to Vanguard Customer service and also a supervisor, surprisingly, I was told that, UNLIKE what I had been told on April 20th, since it is a Roll over fro an IRA account to an employer retirement plan, I would need to fill out some forms at Vanguard as well!
I requested the supervisor, to have the supervisor of the as

Vanguard received a 401k check from my previous employer's planThey cashed it the 18th...it was sent the 8th...both of January As on now, I'm being told they never received the check, can't find it, etc

Starting in January 2017, I have requested a 401K rollover with Vanguard I have since contacted the company over times via phone calls trying to obtain my 401K rollover check They have sent me several checks that do not have the correct "Pay to" addressee and therefore will not be accepted by the financial firm I am trying to rollover these funds to Vanguard is well aware of this issue and has made me jump through many hoops in the process of getting this resolved, such has mailing and then faxing official letters to Vanguard The past several phone calls they have been semi apologetic and have promised to overnight me the check The first time they promised to overnight me the check was over month ago I called them again, last week and they said the check would arrive (overnighted) this past Friday It has not Unfortunately, at this point I have potentially received losses as a result of my money no longer being in the market My 401K rollover check could be making

I submitted for a loan on my 401k on January 19th which is managed by VanguardI was supposed to receive a check for the loan amountI was told on 1/that the check would be mailed to meI waited until 2/and called againI was told the check was not cut and they would do so on 2/and it would be overnighted to me for me to receive on 2/I called on 2/and they said the agent I spoke to on 2/had not completed the process so my check was not cutThey assured me they would process the check on 2/and I would receive the check via overnight service on 2/I asked that the money be transferred electronically to my checking account and they told me it was not an option for meI did not receive the check, and when I called, they stated they were still processing the checkThey would not allow me to speak to a supervisorThe first loan payment was drafted on 2/1/and the next one will be drafted on 2/15/I still do not have the loan money

I have been trying to get my father's name off my account for several years My father died in 2005, and the company has his death certificate in their files Because of this I have been trying to get all the money out of their company since Feb22nd At first, they sent me a check in both my name and my father's name I received it finally on March 1st, tried to deposit it into my personal account, and promptly had it rejected from my bank because of the two names on the check I got it back from the bank on 3/and sent it via email back to Vanguard that night According to their posted email policy, I should have received a response within to business days When I didn't hear from them in that time frame, I figured everything was ok and I would be getting the check in a couple of days I finally receive a vague response on 3/telling me to call the transition team I had a chance to call today (3/24) (my work schedule does not allow me to make personal calls during t

Vanguard claims that their low cost model in fees makes them unable to offer things like, say sending a check via Fedex or UPS when funds arent received or they have made an error So I have been now waiting days for a funds disbursement, and had I not called AGAIN today to find out the status of the check they would still be sitting on their hands putting it through "processing" where "no human hands touch the check" so they cant help you get your funds fasterBy the time I get this check, which is well over $30K, it will have probably been days of lost interest income, not too mention the dozen calls I have made to resolve it Each time, I have been given the wrong information that the next CS rep (some nice, some nasty) says was incorrect and they cant take responsibility for what another CS agent told you on the phoneIn essence, I guess they are making up liesYou cant even get a "supervisor" to accelerate the issue, they just wont do anything but their basic bare bones level of effort I am taking the rest of my investment elsewhere, higher fees be damned This entire fiasco for something as simple as getting funds disbursed has been a nightmareAnd because of their low cost "model", their website is archaic and leaves you no opportunity to investigate problems onlineJust call their CS and here another excuse

No response to e-mailPhone on forever holdWhen finally contacted by representative response unsatisfactory

I have tried for over nine months to assist my mother in rolling over my father''s IRA after he passed away We've sent multiple copies of the death certificate, Wforms and rollover forms I've spent hours on the phone being bounced from one incompetent service rep to the next Yesterday I spoke with a rep who told me they had everything needed to create an account in my mother's name Today a different rep called my mother asking for a Wform that we've sent no less than times I don't know how to resolve this

I have called Vanguard times in an effort to have a few questions answeredVanguard associates have consistently bullied, belittled, abused, disrespected, lied to, mislead, and otherwise mistreated meThey have hung up on me, left me on hold for far too long, lectured me, threatened me, and flat out refused to answer my questions about my account
Further, I have not been able to locate an account number
