I am utterly disgusted with this company I submitted a hardship withdrawal for my home purchase on October and the processing is only supposed to take daysI have never received any information from Vanguard regarding the status of my request unless I called them myself Every time I've called, they've asked for something else other than what I was originally told they needed to process my request Today is now October 10, and now they need something else, which starts the day review period all over again!!!! This is MY money!!!!! I want my money without all the runaround!! I have never been so livid in my entire life

Currently I am non-paid sick leave for nearly the last two months due to disabilities sustained while in the serviceWith no available income, I had requested a hardship withdrawal from Vanguard to cover a school expense for summer classes I took through *** *** ***Initially, my claim was denied, stating that the billing I submitted was from a previous semester or scheduleI filed for my withdrawal on the the 5th of AugustMy school semester ended on the 7th of August, which falls within the current semester/schedule, not a tuition bill form the passWhen I called, I talked to three different representatives from Hardship Department, first names were Eric, Barbara, and Essery (or something similar)Eric was the one that brought up the bill being from a previous class scheduleWhen told about the summer classes ending two days after my withdrawal submission, the line was cut off
At this time, I tried calling back and my number was dropped a few times wheneve

I authorized them to transferred my shares from other companies (** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** ***) and Vanguard debited my account as part of transfer for the fees 75$ for ** *** , 50+= for *** *** *** *** and 95$ for *** *** ***
I didn't authorize these debits they should have contacted me before paying fees to those institutions on my behalfI lost 270$ due to these
Please refund 270$

I have an employee sponsored 401K planI am building a new home, and completed a hardship withdrawal request in early OctoberThey denied my request, stating that they needed a purchase agreementOnce the purchase agreement was completed, I sent them the documentAfter several days they sent a letter denying it, saying that the seller's signature was missingI re-sent the updated copy with all required signaturesUnfortunately, they received it after the deadline, and closed my hardship requestI submitted a new one, and once again resent all of the documents they requested in the letterI received yet another denial, stating that now they needed the closing date of the home and purchase priceI sent them that documentationThey sent me another denial letter, and this time stated that they needed more specific documentation of the purchase priceI had sent them my loan approval letter and documentation from the builder with the estimated costThey requested a Loan Estimate

My wife and I are attempting to purchase a homeMy employer plan, through Vanguard, allows "Hardship withdrawals" for a home purchaseSince january 28th I have submitted multiple items of information only to have each refuted or criticized to such an extent that new paperwork needs to be submitted again and againThe "processing unit" hardship team does not provide a complete list of missing itemsWhen they do communicate the lack of information and we subsequently provide exactly what they requested, surprise!! there is some other erroneous or miscellaneous item that turned up missing or needs re-editing, which did not exist before!!For example, an address is not in the correct section, or new guidelines (not on the website or employer plan rules) have been established, e.g the good faith estimate is no longer a valid document I have made it a practice to call the next day and find out what the new "status"I am not embellishing...they ALWAYS come up with a new excuse and ref

I wouldn't use this company They're incapable of making decisions that involve taking care of their customers in unique situations, or going above and beyond for the business My new employer uses them for 401k and they refuse to work with me when they thought I elected 100% of my paycheck to be deferred to 401K In my memory, I elected 3% It's not that I thought I elected and fat fingered 30, they took 100% Since I didn't keep screenshots of my signup session, I can't refute this Using their rules, they refuse to work with me in making an adjustment so I don't have to go with out a paycheck right after Christmas Nice job Vanguard! And for your troubles, I won't be considering your company when I consolidate my retirement accounts Good luck treating your customers this way

On October 24th I opened an investment account with Vanguard The online registration process did not complete I contacted a customer service representative on that date and they walked me through completing registration After a few days, I attempted to access the account only to find that my account was still not registered I contacted them again and again they were not able to resolve the issue I requested that my funds be returned on that call on October 29th They advised me of a seven day hold and that my funds could not be returned until 11/ I called them today and after verifying my bank account information, they are unwilling to return my funds to me today I have been told that it will take another 7-days to get the funds returned to me This is unacceptable They could not fix my problem and are refusing to return my money

It looks like there were margin calls but I was not noticed there are less shares of *** in my brokerage account

Excruciatingly painful to get things resolved I have been trying to transfer some IRA money from *** *** to Vanguard and OH MY GOD , Vanguard gives me the run around , filling forms, this is not right, fill this in , sign that, mail thisI finally talked to a supervisor a week ago on Oct 20th and he was super nice and trying to help meI mailed in more paperwork only to get YET ANOTHER CRYPTIC email from Vanguard " Request missing information" whatever that meansThey force you to call them , they transfer you left and rightThey you get on a junior person that asks a million questions and still cannot help youSo I tried to talk to a supervisor again todayFirst I talked to Luc G*** who tried as usual to give me the run around, and then hanged up on me when I insisted to talk to a supervisorI called again adn talk to John N*** who was super rude , not wanting to transfer me to a supervisor When I told him I am recording the call ( like vanguard always does

I have an IRA with Vanguard it's a retirement savingsI have call them over times asking to speak to someone about my account for a withdrawalEach time I'm told that someone will call me back and I give them my number for a call backI have not receive a call back in a month I have call them back twice in each week for a month now I have ask to speak to a manager or supervisor and they will not let meI have been told they can only take my number and have someone call me(that as never happen)At this point I don't know what to do to get my moneyYour help is greatly appreciatedIf you can direct me to how or who I need to contactI'm in need of my money and don't know what else to do
Thank you again for your help

The best investment company I have ever hadThey care about their clients, know their stuff and work hard to please their clients

I received a Transaction Conformation from Vanguard on my 404(b)account showing that a transaction had been made liquidating the accountI was surprised and dismayed since I had authorized no such transaction, and immediately assumed the account had been hackedI contacted Vanguard and spoke to a customer service representativeHe told me that the funds had been transferred to another company which would now handle all Vanguard's 403b accountsThe Transaction Confirmation letter contained none of this informationI asked why, and there was no explanationI asked about the company the funds were transferred to and how they were distributed and gave me a name and phone number but had no idea how the funds were now allocatedHe also had no idea how I would be identified as the account holder at the new company except that he assumed it was by SS numberI find it outrageous that Vanguard could do this with my funds without my knowledgeI can't find the information on their websi

vanguard is handles my retirement plan where I am allowed to take out unlimited hardship withdrawals per my plans policiesI have a pending eviction currently and I requested $to withdraw from my personal retirement account along with the actual court orderThey received the documentation on 9/8/and took whole days to review I received an email today saying they needed additional information which was a letter from my rental office stating that once the $is paid I will be able to remain at the residence I sent the required letter today 9/13/and called Vanguard to verify that they received it and asked them to expedite the process as I have to pay the $by Friday 9/15/per the letter that I submitted to themIn order for the money to reach my account they have to give it a trade date of 9/14/which is tomorrowVanguard told me that they cannot expediate it and that it could take another whole days to review I advised them that this is a

Vanguard Plans issued documents/records to my ex wife *** *** without my consent
Call me to discuss

I have been trying for the past two months to rollover my *** IRA from my *** *** account to my Vanguard *** IRA account and Vanguard has refused to cooperate
When I phoned Vanguard to find out how to do the rollover, I was told to write a letter stating that I would be transferring funds, with the account numbers from which I would be transferring funds toI sent a letter with the required informationI also indicated that, prior to transferring funds, I would deposit all funds into my *** *** money market fund, to avoid charges for the eventual sale of my stock funds - this per the Vanguard rep's advice
On August I wrote Vanguard through their web site: "I snail-mailed you my most recent statements from *** *** Investments, which I will be transferring money from to VanguardPlease let me know if you have received the letter, and if my accounts are
set to transfer funds to." and "I plan to transfer funds from my three *** *

In late September I contacted Vanguard for how to proceed with a court ordered transfer of assets to my ex-wife I was given instructions, which I forwarded to her I filled out the necessary paperwork, including a *** Signature Guarantee and she submitted the forms and a court certified copy of our divorce decree several weeks later
I then received an email from Vanguard about a "request for missing information." I called in as instructed and was told Vanguard never received the divorce decreeI asked if we could fax or email it back and I was given a fax numberI informed my ex-wife, who then faxed the divorce decree A couple days later, I received ANOTHER email from Vanguard with a "request for missing information." I called in and was told they needed a certified copy, not just any old copy I asked why the previous rep told us we could fax it and was told he was wrong I asked to speak to a supervisor but was denied and promised a callback That callback

I was recently charged a $Account Service Fee on two of my Vanguard mutual fund accounts below the $10,threshold despite my accounts already receiving E-delivery of all paperworkFurther concerning, is that the transaction was conducted as a sell out of my accountsWhen I contacted Customer Service, I was told I had to "re-opt in" to E-delivery and then I would be refunded the money at the end of SeptemberThis is completely unacceptable and concerning behavior on part by Vanguard and I am now considering closing my accounts with the company and transferring elsewhereI have also brought this matter to the attention of the SEC

I am in the process of purchasing a home in Georgia and I have been trying to withdraw money from my retirement accountPurchasing a primary residence is one of the requirements for withdrawing for hardshipDuring this process I have been trying to get my name changedI have sent all documents even amended documents and yet still have not heard from themI have also overnighted information to the company twice to change to my married nameThey have told me in the beginning they had my information to change my name now their stating they did not receive itI overnighted twice which I paid $for each overnightI also have receipts and tracking numbersI also required a signature for both packagesI have been disgusted with the way they have handle my sensitive informationI have been trying to get money since August 13thMy husband and I are scheduled to close on our home next Friday Sept14thDuring this process, I have had palpitations, missing sleep, crying, angry, and

I have been trying to roll over my 403(b) account into a non-vanguard IRA for the last two months The paperwork was submitted and sent with tracking and delivery confirmation, so the first excuse of "we never received it" didn't work Since then it has been phone call after phone call with "I don't know why this hasn't been completed" and "it will take to business days"I spoke to my employer's HR person about this and she confirmed that I was not the only person that has had this experienceVanguard is happy to take your money, but don't try to put your hands on it once they have it

All I am wanting from this company is to give me access to my online account but I have called 07/18,07/19,07/and will try again on 07/everytime someone answers says we need to take your contact information down and someone will call you back today on everyday that I called still no calls from anyone and no access to my online account this is a personal investment account and I would like to start investing at my current age right now but this business is showing me that they have really poor customer service
