placed a conference call to Vanguard Investments as I hold an IRA account The purpose of the conference call was to get information on what forms and policies I would need to transfer money from my Vanguard account to my *** *** account We spoke with the representative from Vanguard Investment who told us Vanguard Investment would accept the forms/paperwork from *** *** and no other paperwork would be required I inquired if the representative was sure I would not need any other paperwork because I've made similar transactions before and believed I would need forms from Vanguard The representative stated again Vanguard Investments would accept the forms sent by *** *** and no other forms would be necessary Vanguard Investments indicates all of these transaction telephone calls are rec

On Thursday May 4th I submitted an application for a Hardship Withdraw from my Vanguard 401K to pay for my Son's Summer semester, which starts Monday May 14th I received a message on Monday May 7th stating that it was rejected because I didn't have all the information they needed I immediately call them and talked to a repand specifically asked what all info they needed(times) The Rep told me to include my Plan #, Full name, a Bill from my sons school, and a reference # which he gave me I asked him again if that was all I needed, and he said that was positively all I needed to include I called today May 11th to check on the status and Again they informed me that I need to proof that I claimed my son on my Taxes I got very up set because once again it was denied and I told them that the gentleman that I talked to on that Monday DID NOT tell me to include that information Each time I have submitted info it takes days to make a decision as to if it is approv

For the past year now I've had ongoing issues with not being able to log into my Vanguard account This has been ongoing since March of To date I'm still not able to buy or sell any product from Vanguard and am losing potential money I spend upwards to 30-mins every time I call Vanguard Customer Services because they cannot locate my account due to a glitch in their computer system I've called the past two days now and they just tell me that "they" are working on it I asked for a statement to be mailed or faxed and they advise me that they cannot do that No direct answers and no fix I feel like my money/investments are being held hostage and or maybe they don't even exist? !! I want the problem fixed once and for all or I will file more complaints with the FEC/FTC or whoever handles investment firms This company has provided me below standards since my initial investments and has been the worst firm to deal with to date I' sorry I ever switched my investments

When my father passed away, I contacted Vanguard to report his death and to transfer my father's IRA to my motherI also had my father's name removed from the joint accountSince I already had agent authorization on the accounts, I asked Vanguard if I needed to re-accomplish agent authorization formsI was told that I would not need to do that and that the authorization would transfer to the new/changed accountsI explained that I lived out of state and that my only opportunity to complete the forms with my mother was during the time I was in North CarolinaThe sent the forms and my mother and I completed themWhen I got back to Georgia, I learned that the agent authorization was revokedWhen I corresponded with Vanguard, I was told they found the previous authorizations and that they would grant me accessThe next day, I received an email stating that I would not be getting access and that the representative gave me incorrect informationI am now miles away and without ac

Company sponsored 401K termination withdrawal: I am eligible for 67% vesting of my total balance given that I served three years from Jun 2012-Jun However, Vanguard has only honored 33% of the vesting balance ($before tax) for the distribution and the remaining 34% was marked as "forfeiture"

Applied for a hardship withdrawal from my 401k on 3/28/ I spoke with Vanguard and informed them I was taking a primary mortgage 203k for a home that was not habitable I sent in the requested documentation When I spoke with the customer representatives they gave me misinformation on multiple occasions., contradicted information with each representative, and hung up on me Changed things multiple times in reference to the equation they use to demonstrate financial need and gave misinformation about what they needed from me I spoke with at least representatives and given them 100’s of pages of home inspections and information about the house The representatives informers me that my home is habitable and they cannot release my funds I gave the company the letter from HUD stating the home will not be habitable for months and listed all issues with the home They will not distribute my funds and I feel this is personal and they are not following Guidelines for distr

I have been investing money in an IRA over the past years with VanguardAbout a month ago they were able to stop a fraudulent attempt by someone to move my money out of my account to another bankVanguard froze the accountThey have me registered with key questions that only I can answer, voice recognition and they sent me a form to sign, to be notarized which I sent back to themThey acknowledge receiving it and said they would get back to me in a few daysI am in need of some money from my account but it is still frozenAfter not hearing from them for days I called yesterday, 12/18/and spoke to a Mr S*** He said he would try to help me to get money before the Holidays but said he can't transfer me to the fraud dept and said I can't call them directlyI have given them all the information to prove that I am the rightful owner of that accountI am getting no answers and they are holding my money as hostage

I applied for a Hardship withdrawal on Oct 9th and after spending $in overnight charges getting all the right info to Vanguard on my medical withdrawal by the 16th of Oct I was informed on my phone call to Vanguard on the 18th that all the paperwork was in and the withdrawal was approved that the sale of my stock would take place on the 18th and the funds would proceed to my bank and that it would to business days to be in my accountI noticed that on Oct 20th that my balance had not changed as of Fri the 20th I placed a call to Vanguard and talked to a person named Shanique and she was quite rude telling me that this process take to business days to process and that I was not giving it enough time and I stated that no shares had been sold from my accountWell now it is the 23th of Oct and still no transactions on my account so I call Vanguard again and I speak with Connie C and she informs me the the notes show that the withdraw was approved and placed on Oct 18th but

We have two loans that Vanguard has claimed in default while my husband was recalled to active duty We have made SEVERAL attempts to resolve the issue, numerous phone calls, mailed paperwork that they have been unable to locate, faxes that we have proof of delivery that they can not locate and a power of attorney from my husband for me to handle this only to be told it did not have the information they needed then another with EXACTLY what they requested only to be told now they would not accept it, but not before they could not locate it either Line of Duty paperwork that has been sent several times they seem to never have received

I have been trying to withdraw from MY 401K and I have was asked to send in SALES CONTRACT AND ESTIMATED cost with all signaturesi have done this times nowI received an email tonight stating it was denied because I didn't turn in the contract and estimated closing costI have sent this info in via US Postal mail, fax and upload to their systemI ask the lady could I speak to a supervisor and I was told that one wasn't available at this timeThe lady tells me that it cost a lot of money to for me to withdraw my moneySo they make it hard for you to withdrawI need to close on my house and its my money

My research on Vanguard reviews is eerily similar to my own experience In short, Vanguard is holding my money hostage They apparently have a pattern of behavior designed to alienate customers and avoid responsibility They have acted in insulting, condescending, utterly unhelpful and abusive manners I agree that the attitude of every single one of several Vanguard employees is beyond atrocious and frankly I cannot understand how they are still in business They have outright failed and refused to transfer an IRA despite (take your pick) receiving all of the paperwork yet repeatedly asking for duplicate items, running one around in useless circles designed to intimidate and harass, failing to act openly, honestly and directly, avoid doing the work, and frankly questionably acting in violation of the law The concept of "due diligence" is foreign to them and they could not give a hoot about the consumer I will be withdrawing my accounts from this atrocious company as the only way to make a difference is by not enabling these unethical and potentially unlawful conduct I highly caution anyone considering doing business with this company from ever dealing with them

Letter sent to Vanguard:
I am writing pertaining to a Hardship Withdrawal I recently madeMy request was for $to cover my “Hardship” but when all said and done, the amount I received was $I understand the $Federal Withholding amount and the $fee to process from Vanguard but I don’t understand where the other $went? I am aware of the so called fluctuation in the market that you listed that could effect the withdrawal but I did not see any proof of this fluctuation listed anywhereSo I am to assume that the “market” just fluctuated as Vanguard stated, so I am out $250.00?
When I request a certain amount, that is the amount I needSo I need to request more than the amount I need so I can get the amount I need? NoAlso what if the “Market” fluctuates up? Then you are going to give me more than I requested? I think not
In the end, this is my money, money that I am contributing, money what I am requesting, in a certain amount, and expect to r

On January 4th I requested a rollover of my employer based retirement fund to an individual based fund for both my traditional and Roth IRA'sIn addition I requested a distribution from my roth account to tide over my rent and some bills as I had just been terminated
I was told that the transaction needed to be completed online and that once I completed it, it would be 1-business days for the transfer to occurI completed the transaction promptly and waited a week before I called and was told that 1-days was just an estimate and it sometimes takes longerAfter another week I was told that there was a delay with my employer regarding my vesting and it would take 3-business daysWhen I called back within that time frame I was told that they had received everything they needed and it would take another 1-business daysAt this point, I'm at the risk of losing my apartment and literally crying on the phone with the representative who tells me he's done all he can do and I'

Someone open up a fraudulent online account to access my 401K with out my knowledgeI informed Vanguard that they distributed a loan check and began withdrawing loan repayment from my payroll Vanguard sent me a copy of the check to verify if this was my signatureI notarize and presented Vanguard with a police reportI have called just about 1-times a month the company they continue to tell me they are investing and its going on yrsI also have tried to withdraw fund and they will come up with excuse after excuse of why I can not get my funds but a theft can obtain over 2,easilyThe customer service people that I talk to are rude and disrespectfulThey say the conversation is being recorded but I can't get both situation resolvedI spoke to Carlo Z*** who is suppose to be the Plant Director and he promised both situations would be resolve and that I was to contact him if it wasn'tHe won't even take my callsI have tried to work with this Vanguard but they withhol

I have a monthly deduction for a 403b taken from my *** *** *** *** Paycheck (months) and deposited into my Vanguard 403b account My March contribution was sent to Vanguard via overnight mail on April by *** *** (the financial service company that works for the LACCD) It is now April 17, and Vanguard claims they never got the check
This is the second time that this problem has happened *** assures me that they sent the check
When I called Vanguard today, I was put on hold for over an hour and then the call was dropped Since it was the third time I tried to contact them today, I decided it was impossible to get through to them to resolve this conflict Basically, $was deducted from my paycheck and NEVER deposited into my Vanguard account as is obligated
I am concerned about the quality of service I am receiving from Vanguard Group and I am asking for your help to resolve this lack of concern on their part in resolving the 'mi

Hello
IN 2017, I had a personal retirement account with VanguardAfter withdrawing all my money, I requested my account to be closedVanguard kept reassuring me that the account was close when in fact they didn't close itNow they charge me $for an account with $blanceThe way this company conducts their business is poor and fraudulentPLease investigateThanks

On March 3rd, 2018, I paid off an old 401K loan, in order to take out a new oneI submitted the loan application for the new loan on 3/after speaking to a customer service rep, who told me this was the quickest way to get the new loan - that it would be automatically processed once my old loan was completed outThe rep also told me that I could request to have the new loan check sent to me overnight via *** to receive it the fastest wayThis was good news to me since I needed this money for a family emergency ASAPI gave Vanguard my *** ID number so this could be doneI called Vanguard pretty much every day that week to check the status of my new loan, and to be assured that my new loan check would be overnighted to meEven a supervisor assured me of thisI received a text message on 3/that my new loan was processedAs instructed by multiple Vanguard reps I called in to get a tracking number for the *** overnight check delivery (this was on 3/12)I was told that "oop

I have not received my to be able to file my Federal taxes and have a March, deadline I have made phone calls in which Vanguard continually tells me they have mailed itThey will not use fax or email or overnight They continually say they mailed it, but I never received itStarted making calls on February10th,I will now pay a penalty as I do need this to file

went through the entire process of opening a planthen an error occurred on the last steptried to resubmit and it said timed out (took less than minute to resubmit)i work in digital marketing so this isn't my first time filling out a formthis isn't an issue of a dumb user or someone who doesn't know how to use a computerthanks for wasting my time

The customer service experience has deterorated drastically over the yearsI can no longer obtain answers via email from the company, my secure messages on the website are ignored for weeks, upon following up with customer service they literally told me to "Feel free to go to another financial institution" and then refused to send me to a manager upon requestUpon calling back and explaining the situation, I was met with a lengthy wait on the phone, and offered little to no consolationThey did not answer my questions and did not feel the need to treat me like a human beingThe service was what I would come to expect form a Waste Management Company, in fact worseI cannot believe they allow their employees to behave in such a rude and dramatic wayI have reached out to file a formal complaint, but have not received a response
